Revolt is a Fantasy based RP with a big focus on exploration and discovery. In Revolt, you control one (or several) character(s) in a journey to discover the secrets of a world that is just beginning to understand what it is. In Revolt the story might not always be as prominent as some people may like, but it will always lie there in the background, waiting until the right moment to come into the foreground.
Prolouge
A middle aged man by the man walked into a a room filled by futuristic devices everywhere. On the walls there were monitors displaying some sort of information. Under them were what looked like control panels filled with buttons that did all sorts of things. In the middle of the room there was a big, circular tube filled with things that would normally be considered beautiful. In this case, though you could also argue that it could be called grotesque. The man the thinks for himself while laying on hand on the glass tube. "It is time. After so many years, I will finally be able to begin to repay the debt". With grace, he took forth an orb of pure white from his back pocket, holding it up for a few seconds and admiring it's beauty. He then proceeded to flick a switch at the control panel, causing several circles to show up on the different monitors. All of them had different runes and symbols placed within them. He then flicked another switch, and another circle lit up on the floor, this too covered in different runes and symbols, although more complex than the others.
When all the preparations were made he began to chant words of unknown power in a mystic voice. As he did, the orb in his hand began to glow. Soon afterwards the light covered him like a bubble, opaque near the edges and clear at the center. As he went on, the light grew stronger and stronger, until one instant where it couldn't contain itself any longer, and it all burst out and expanded.
Setting
The world of Revolt is a world filled with magic and fantasy. In this RP you start out in the country of Revirir. Revirir can be placed somewhere along the middle of the renaissance in sense of time. Reverir in itself is a country that have grown immensely from warfare the last few hundred years. More specifically magical warfare, something the neighbor countries have little knowledge about. Although magic still governs day to day life, science have been getting bigger and bigger along the years, and now, although still new, there have been developed technology to bridge the gap between them. Life day to day is relatively normal, expect for that last night, some people (maybe your character?) had a weird and otherworldly dream that they just can't completely forget.
Knowledges
In this RP, all characters have a few specific traits called knowledges. Knowledges simply dictate how much a person knows about a specific area. As the world of Revolt is filled with all sorts of information, this is a system I have chosen to keep track of what character knows what the different pieces of information. Do note that although possible over the the RP, knowledges generally stay static if a person isn't really devoted to a area at spends lots of time (something there will be plenty of) to research this area. This however does not stop a character from gaining new knowledge. A specific level of knowledge is simply a guide for about how much a character knows. A character can easily obtain a specific piece of information without acquiring the whole level of knowledge. There is also no limit on what knowledges you can pick and how high they can go. Do try to be reasonable however. These are the knowledges that you will most likely need. Do note that there exists other knowledges but either they are not important to the story, or nearly no one know about them.

This is how many of The Gray Compendiums you have read. Unlike other knowledges, each knowledge here stands on it's own, meaning that just because you have 2 doesn't mean you also automatically have 1. There are 6 known volumes of The Gray Compendiums. Some say that there is also a seventh lost one. While it's quite rare to have read all six, it's also rare to find someone that haven't read a single one out of these.
The Gray Compendiums I: About magic
The Gray Compendiums II: About his ideals
The Gray Compendiums III: About Technology and Magitech
The Gray Compendiums IV: About Revirir's Story
The Gray Compendiums V: About his life
The Gray Compendiums VI: About his hopes
The Gray Compendiums VII: Unknown

Magic
Every person in the world of Revolt have potential for magic, and as long as they ar taught the basics, the know how to use it. There different types of magic tough that different people know how to control. Do note that magic can extend to pretty much anything, but that those are considered rare. These are the ones that are considered normal. Do note that there are cases for example where a person can create temperature and not remove it and similar things.
Fire/Temperature: The user can control fire, and temperatures in general.
Nature: The user can control the world around the, mostly limited to nature and minerals.
Water: The user can control water, and liquids in general.
Air: The user can control the air and wind.
Sound: The user can control, make, distort and remove sound.
Light: The user can control, make, distort and remove light.
Information
This is the information each character have. What information they have depends on their knowledge levels, you can however choose outside of this if it's reasonable. Just state it in your app. Likewise you can exclude pieces of information if it's unrealistic that your character would know that.
Magic
Focuses: Magic 3 or Advanced Technology/Magitech 2
A Focus is a crystallized stone of thoughts and memories. Although all crystals that are made of memories can be referred to as focuses, it's more common to create a focus with a specific purpose in mind. These are what most people call focuses. This purpose is normally to store and use magic. A light focus may for example store a huge amount of light. The user of this focus can then use the focus to fuel his own magic. Focuses are mostly a phenomenon that exists in lab environments although SYSTEM also use them more frequently elsewhere.
How to use magic: Magic 2
Using magic is relatively simple as long as you know how. To use magic, the user usually have to close their eyes, and block out most of the world. They then have to reach as far as they can with their mind, covering as much area as possible. The user then have to think visually of what is to happen in addition to thinking instruction on what is to happen. These instructions can be either voice, text or some other medium. The user then repeats this a few times, the more repetitions, the stronger the effect. Casting a decent spell usually takes from 3-10 seconds. After the spell is cast, the effects of the spell will come into effect after roughly 0.5 - 2 seconds.
Restrictions of magic: Magic 2.5
Although magic is wonderful, it also have some simple restrictions.
The first restriction is that the user have to have direct sight of the target. This means that seeing the target in a mirror will not work.
The second restriction is that the spell can't change target once it's been casted. Once a spell is casted, the mage loses control over it.
Restrictions of magic, Burnout: Magic 3
In addition to the simple restrictions of magic, there is also the less understood Burnout. When a mage uses a spell that might for example be to powerful, a burnout will happen. The spell will either partially be casted, or not casted at all. After that, the mage suffers from a Burnout. A burnout just means that the user is incapable of using magic while the burnout is in effect. A burnout may usually lasy for 1-5 days, but there have been records of it lasting for lifetimes.
Aside fom this, there have also been reported times when a very specific spell fails to cast, but everything else works fine.
Geography
Máttur, the floating city: Been to Máttur
Most people think of Máttur as a modern city with lot’s of technology. What most people don’t know is that when you arrive at where Máttur should have been, there is just a hole in the ground. To actually get to Máttur, you have to use on of the magitech devices that stands by the hole. The actual city is a floating city high in the air. The Gray One raised the city several hounded with sorcery as a proof that he was no ordinary man when he arrived in Máttur.
Known People
Legendary and known people: Known People variable
Legendary people are people that have the highest knowledge in an area except Known people. Known people are people that have made interesting discoveries and similar thing in addition to all with Magic Knowledge level 6. You are free to make up a bit yourself here.

5. I trust you guys so please don’t try to work your way around these rules.

7. Map, knowledge, pictures of locations, magical limitations, these are all guidelines. Do not take them as the absolute truth. Still, don't completely ignore them either.
