With the timeskip to night due very shortly, if not tonight or tomorrow, I really need to get the lunar cycle in the RP sorted. Although it may seem petty and pointless from a writing and descriptive point of view, it is necessary for Trista's entire story. Her abilities and various aspects of her story are dependant upon the phases of the moon.

I am thinking on either having it be a waxing crescent moon or a waxing half-moon on the first night. This means that a full moon will occur in 1-2 weeks and it will occur sooner than a new moon. At the moment, I'm not too sure on how the lunar cycle shall be sorted. But one thing's for certain, I need to decide very soon.

Hmm... It's really weird.

Since Colt and Dex are brothers (light and dark) they would have to be conjoined in battle at one point. Would that joined power be considered (note I said considered. This is not a new power. Just what comes out of working two mages together)? Shadow? Lunar? Not sure.

Btw... Expect a twin switchup one day...

That does pose some questions. Admittedly, when I think of people using their powers simultaneously, I just either look at simple combinations or I just say that they are used at the same time with nothing more to them. Some things can fused together for interesting synchronous attacks like water and ice or nature and fire (if you're evil). But then there are things that cannot fuse or derive from fusion like Lunar, a combination of Electricity and Earth, or a combination of Light and Darkness. Lunar is an element that can't really fuse in the conventional sense. Lunar magic has very few offensive capabilities and the only real means of having an offensive interaction with other elements would be to enhance said user with Lunar magic.

Light and Darkness, I'm unsure if that could fuse together or what would derive from it. It would most certainly not be Lunar. In terms of offensiveness, Lunar is much more passive and support focused than Light. It is not in the space between Light and Darkness. Lunar can be perceived as light deriving from the moon or the manipulation of the moon's power. On a logical scale, it would most likely result in Shadow or some unusual fusion like dim light or incomplete darkness.

Well I can see the sense there.

Actually, in perspective of shadow, that would be terrifying. Someone to create a light strong but dim enough to create an endless battlefield of shadows.

I have decided on the lunar cycle for TSU. The first night shall have a waxing crescent moon. This means that every Sunday in the RP shall be the day which a major phase in the lunar cycle occurs. The first Sunday will be a waxing half moon and the Sunday after will be a full moon. Given that a full lunar cycle takes approximately 28 days or 4 entire weeks. The lunar phases can be approximated and fixed to particular days. Keep in mind that this is highly approximate as the lunar cycle is not perfect IRL. I am merely fixing it to specific days for convenience and for simplicity.

Of course, this is only if you guys approve of my fixation of the lunar cycle. I merely wish to set up the lunar cycle so that I don't abuse the power of moon by making it a full moon 4 nights in a row or something crazy like that.
