Iron Storm: A Mecha RP (IC)

KIASM Hangar

As everyone began to disperse form his Arm Slave, Jason decided that it was time to test his Arm Slave out and calibrate some of PROMETHEUS's weapon systems. After throwing away the garbage from his lunch, Jason walked up to his Arm Slave's loading bay and grabbed a small device from the locker on the platform. The device was a white bot with blue plating on the corners. In the very center of the bow was a turquoise button. As soon as Jason pressed the button, a mist of energy particles erupted from the device and began to adhere themselves to Jason's body. After only five seconds, Jason had a suit over his body that was made out of a very strong, yet flexible metal.





After the suit formed over Jason's body, he began to walk towards his Arm Slave, but right as he neared it, a strange hologram passed right through him. The hologram surprised him, and reacting quickly, Jason turned his head over to the hologram and looked at her.

"Oh hello there~" Tina said with an innocent looking smile on her face while she inverted herself so that she would be floating upside down. "Interesting suit you got there~ made to link with an AI, hmm?"
"Tina...? Oh that's where you're trailing behind." Aion then walked up with his hands in his pockets.

Jason was a little caught off guard at what he saw, but he quickly remembered how holograms were becoming more and more advanced. What he was essentially seeing at this moment was the equivalent of an electronic ghost. It was a little strange to see an AI with such a realistic hologram, one that looked exactly like a real person. In fact, if it wasn't for the female AI hovering upside-down, Jason might have never known.

"Kind of. It's actually meant to protect me from damage while I'm inside my Arm Slave, like if an enemy Arm Slave stabs into the pilot seat, but it also doubles as a tool used to link up.", Jason said to Tina.

Just then, Jason saw a man coming towards him from the corner of his visor. Perhaps he was the AI's Arm Slave partner. Not wanting to be rude, Jason turned his head towards the man and greeted him.

"Hello.", Jason calmly said to Aion.

KIASM Hangar

"Ohhhh that makes sense." Tina said as she reverted back to an upright state. "Aion? Why don't you have that?"
"Because It's more exciting without it. Besides, what is life if you can't live it on the edge?"
"A life about to end?"
"Oh ha ha. Very funny." Aion rolled his eyes. "C'mon sis, let's not bother the fledgling any longer. We still need to find two hangar bays for-"
Before he could finish, Tina pointed in front of Aion's face. He looked in the direction she was pointing, which were the two hangars next to Jason's mech.
"I figured I would get acquainted with the person in the bay next to ours since we'll be here for a while, no? And since we don't know the area..."
"....you clever..." Aion said in partial disbelief as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Sigh...alright...alright..." after a moment as Aion closed his eyes to think, he then opened them and looked at Jason. "So...you're a mecha pilot huh?"

KIASM Hangar

Jason was a little curious about how the man called the AI "sis". Was it just a nickname for her, maybe it was a part of her name? Jason was going to ask the man about it, but first, he would answer the man's question.

"Yea. I still need to finish up on training to be one, but yes.", Jason said as he pointed to his Arm Slave.

Unlike most of the Arm Slaves, Jason's looked more humanoid, almost like a giant human covered in armor. The Arm Slave stood at 35 feet, and had silver armor plating with turquoise lights decorating various parts of its torso, shoulders, arms, legs, and head. Down on the ground in front of it was its name, spray painted in stencil: PROMETHEUS.

Tina blinked a few times and looked over to Aion, who had a smug look on his face. "Fledgling..."
"I can spot em from a mile away, I tell ya. And here you didn't believe me." He responded in a sassy tone of voice.
Tina merely rolled her eyes as Aion began to chuckle.
"Aye, so...your mech...kinda looks like an oversized power suit if ya ask me...which would mean your suiting up to suit up?....Suit-ception..."
As he was speaking Tina had initiated both Eclipse Blade and AETHER so that they moved into the hangar and into the two bays next to Jason's. Aion however, took a closer look at Jason's mech first.
"...Prometheus...A Titan who brought fire to man.... interesting choice for a mech. Although it's no different than what I chose." He then glanced over to his and Tina's mech that now set itself into the bay."Aether, the deity of the divine air." He partially shrugged. "Makes sense for a flying mech..." He dismissed the rest of his train of thought with a wave of his hand.
"You name things too obviously. Except for Eclipse Blade." Tina chimed in.

Shipping Yard Outskirts

"You make any bad moves, I will counter and fight back." The female voice said. "I'm an beginner, I won't do something stupid like that." Zero said. the black mech's chest opened and the female stepped out. "You can call me Novitus." She said. "Novitus? Wait a sec, as in multi tournament champion Novitus? Sela! Raise the right hand, I'm jumping on it." Zero said and Blitzrizer's right hand raised to it's chest and Zero jumped down. Blitzrizer's hand then proceeded to bring Zero closer by stretching out. "It's an honor to meet such a master pilot. I would like to shake hands if that's alright?" Zero said to Novitus as he extends his left hand.

Jason was a little confused about how the man acted towards him being a "fledgling". After all, they were at a university for pilots and engineers, so the chances of Jason being a "fledgling" was high. Despite that, it didn't really bother Jason. Just then, as the AI was calling in a few Arm Slaves, the man looked at Jason's Arm Slave and spoke about its name, along with the names of his Arm Slaves. It was true, it made sense that Aether was a good name for a flying Arm Slave. The other one did not have as obvious of a name, but Jason didn't think too much about it. The man had explained why he named his Arm Slave Aether, so it was only fair for Jason to explain why he named his Arm Slave PROMETHEUS.

"Yea, the reason I named mine PROMETHEUS is because of not just fire, but what it did to man. Prometheus gave man a very important tool, one that allowed them to create iron and steel weapons. It spurred advancement, brought technology to the next level. I have no doubt that once this Arm Slave is finished, it will be studied, and will bring things to the next level, similarly to how the god did.", Jason explained to Aion and Tina.

After speaking, Jason decided that it would be a good time to ask about why the man called his AI partner "sis". This spurred another question. Who were these people?

"Anyways, I noticed that you called your partner 'Sis'. I was just curious about it. What are your names?", Jason asked both Aion and Tina.

Novitus chuckled. "Master Pilot? If i'm considered a master pilot, then the moon must be made out of provolone cheese."

Novitus detached herself from the mech, letting Nue take the helm just in case. She shook Zero's hand then backed up to her mech, re-attaching herself with ease. "I still hate shaking people's hands, though. Might spread diseases, you know?"

KIASM Hangar

Aion nodded sagely. "Ambitious...I like to hear that in rookies." He then chuckled to himself. "If I had those lofty goals I might be elsewhere." Then he addressed Jason's next question, but not before smiling wryly as he glanced over to Tina who had become still when the question was asked. "Aye we haven't introduced ourselves proper yet...So I'm Aion Leonares, Elite Fighter Pilot of the mercenary group called the Hunters' Guild."
"...and my name is Tina."
There was a short pause where Aion closed his eyes, knowing the next part.
"...Tina Leonares."
