Mima's Antique Shop-Japan

"Hm, well that's lovely, isn't it? An artificial Philosopher's Stone, almost. You're trying to infuse your armor with magic, I presume? In that case, I can help you there." Mima said. "I've infused things with magic for a long time, doing it to your armor will be easy, like taking meat from a youkai."

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

The block of ice, with Dad safely enclosed in it, began to slide down the street, gaining speed exponentially as blocks of ice seem to do in video games- until it smashed through the antique store's front door, bowled the Spartan over, and came to rest in a carefully arranged shelf of curiosities.

""Yes."

Before he could say anything else, a giant block of ice smashed into John.

DEETDEETDEETDEETDEETDEETDEETDEETDEETDEETDEET...BVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVT.

John got back up as his shields charged. He looked at the ice and saw the abomination from before.

Mima put both hands on the ice block, pushing it out the door, then whacking it away with a push spell, sending it back through the streets at high velocity. "Freeloaders."

John said, "Anyway, yes, that's exactly what I intended. Before I got hit by a giant ice chunk, I was also going to ask what a Youkai was."
John said this with a slight urgency in his voice.

(Wait, You-something was Youkai? Is that what Yuuka was trying to hide?...)

Aqua looked as the ice block rolled back and forth. "I should really but a bind spell on that thing."

She raised her hand to cast a spell, but lowered her hand again. She was too exhausted. "I have to get something to eat, anyone have anything i can eat?"

(So she is one...)

John turned his head over to Yuuka's direction and asked,"Hey Yuuka, what exactly is a Youkai?"

(Yuuka is not with John during that time period. She is inside the basement, reading books. Please do change the post :3)

Mima's Antique Store/Basement - Kawaguchi District - Tokyo, Japan
Time: 4:10 PM

Yuuka has been reading for 40 minutes, but no book about the Hakurei Border or Gensokyo was written. This was mostly historical context of the ancient Japan during the Asuka period.
"What am I even doing here?" Yuuka asked herself as she stepped outside to find the same average-looking man in combat with Renamon and an unknown blue-haired girl. John was stuck in an ice block, and Mima was standing around.
Wha... Yuuka asked, but she had no time to think, she was going to help them out.

"Confirmed hit." the Demolisher's AI reported back.

The red dot started flickering and had flown back from the explosion several meters before vanishing over a nearby river. This could mean one of two things: the little girl had been destroyed mid flight, or she landed in the water, where the radar could not detect her. To the discontent of the Commander, the later was the most likely situation, and if she could fly as fast as a jet, then she would have probably gotten away by now. (It's never the easy way, isn't it?) he thought. He then started to move towards ground zero of the shelling.

As he got closer and closer he saw more and more soldiers running around, sometimes stopping to stare at the titan of a mech that walked before them. His troops caught up with him and followed immediately behind him like ducklings. After walking for a full kilometer the Commander arrived at where the shell hit. the crater was probably 4 meters wide and about half a meter deep. (It didn't even hit the ground and it caused this much destruction?) he questioned. Obviously this "Demolisher" tank that he just created was unnecessarily powerful. Or, maybe he was too used to fighting other armies the same strength as his was. Either way he had to redesign his troop's weapons to fit this more fragile world.

He took a look around to see if there was any sign of the girl. All he saw was a bunch of soldiers staring at him in disbelief, and off the side of the crater on the side of a shop...
"Dammit..." the Commander said under his breath.

The white dot, the character who had been fighting the girl was lying on a table, being treated for first degree plasma burns. It was obvious that the girl didn't do that to her, so the only reason she would be like this is because she didn't move out of the way in time. Out of all the complications that could have happened during his plan, this was the last thing the Commander wanted to happen. He had to act quickly. Plasma burns from energy weaponry was different from regular plasma, the condensing process creates a lot of radiation, and if not treated properly then the patient could be at risk of radiation poisoning.

The Commander opened the hatch to his command mech, located on its head, took the nanolith medical kit from behind his command chair, and ran out to aid the injured character. The drop from the head of the mech to the ground was about 6.7 meters, but to the surprise of the soldiers watching (as if the mech itself wasn't enough of a surprise) he had made the jump down without any effort, then continued to run towards the injured.

He ran towards the medic struggling to treat the odd symptoms that the woman was experiencing and pushed him aside. "Out of the way!" he shouted. He readied the nanolith medkit and activated it . "What are you doing?!?" the medic asked furiously. "Fixing a mistake." the commander replied. The two of them watched as glowing green dust spewed out of the device and flowed around the woman like water. After 10 seconds the dust stoped glowing and reentered the device. She was perfectly healthy. Asleep, but healthy. The Commander released a sigh of relief. That was one unnecessary casualty prevented.

(Now...) he pondered. (Where did that little demon go?)
