SPARTAN Weapons Development Lab - Sector 4 - Prometheus Labs

"Well from where I'm from there's five main types of magic: Fire, Lightning, Wind, light and Dark." Robin pulled his bag out from under his cloak. "I can primarily use all but Dark...but..." He looked again at the dark tome of Grima's Truth. "...anyway, typically each magic tends to affect things differently based on certain properties. For Example, Wind magic is obviously effective against anything that flies..." Robin scratched his head again. "But...these shields might be like when a soldier uses Pure Water...which weakens magic's effects on them. So I would think my Magic would be able to still do damage but it would be reduced tremendously in its overall effectiveness."

Standing behind Gerard was Jack-728, towering over him.

"What are you doing here?", Jack asked in an emotionless tone.

One of the Spartans spoke up at Chris's question.

"Is the virus heat resistant? If not, then we could easily destroy it and the entire facility with a Medium Fusion Destructive Device. It has a small radius and as a yield of 15 kilotons. This actually leads me to another question. How large is the facility, and is it underground?", the blue Spartan asked.

Daniel nodded, then spoke to Robin.

"Okay, out of all the magic categories, fire, lightning, and light would probably be your best choice when it comes to taking out shields. You would need to make plasma, or high concentrations of light energy in order to damage the shields. As for their armor, I don't know what materials their armor is made out of, but I would say that their best choice would be Titanium. That means that fire and lightning will not work for the armor, due to Titanium being highly heat resistant and a poor conductor for electricity. I suppose wind will work for that, or hitting the spaces between the armor. If you want, I could give you a Hardlight Blade to pierce the armor.", Daniel said to Robin.

"Hmm...Magic to take down shields then finish them off with a sword. I could live with that strategy. So, does this sword have any special features that makes it more than just a sword to be drawn from a sheath?" Robin chuckled but then came to another realization. "Wait...What other special sword types do you have?"

Briefing Room
_______________

Chris turned to the Spartan and thought for a moment. "I am not entirely sure about that. In all the viral outbreaks involving the T-Virus it was never really exposed to intense heat. Though in the Raccoon City Incident the city was destroyed completely with a missile, destroying everything and sterilizing the virus in the process. So I would have to come to the conclusion that the virus is not resistant to sheer intense heat. Though even if this may be true, the Neo Yakuza may have modified the virus to be resistant to heat. That is just an assumption though." Replied Chris as he turns away. "Now the lab itself is quite large, and is in fact underground. From my experience there I only been in a few Sector's. Though the Sector's were quite large. I believe I haven't even scratched the surface of exploring the entire facility. Though as an assumption I'd say it is at least half the size of the city. Currently there are only a few known entrances." Chris said as he turned back to the Spartan's.

"The first of which is located deep within the cities sewers. Judging by it's location it is probably one of the many emergency exits the place has, because when me and my squad originally went in we didn't find any guards... as well as a red sign that said exit in all caps. Now the second entrance is one located on the edge of the forest, and is surrounded by trees to keep it hidden. There is a dirt road connecting it to the city, but finding it can be difficult unless you fly from above. Now the last possible entrance we could use is a secret exit that is connected to a hidden room within the base. My friend Gerard had told me about it after he found the hidden room. Now are there any more questions before I move on to the B.O.W.s?"

"Well, we have the Hardlight Sword, the Energy Sword, and gauntlets that have Energy Daggers. What mnakes these swords special is that they are not made of metal, or any other material. They are made out of energy. The advantages are that the blades can pierce armor more easily than metal blades. Not only that, they're very lightweight and can only be damaged by damaging the handle. All you do is press a button and the blade materializes.", Daniel explained to Robin.

Daniel then got an idea. Robin could more easily make a decision if he saw the blades themselves.

"Do you want me to show you them?", Daniel asked Robin.

Briefing Room - Prometheus Labs

This time, a grey colored Spartan spoke up.

"We could use an Anti-matter bomb to destroy the bomb. It's dangerous, but easier than bringing it here for disposal.", the grey-colored Spartan said.

"That might work, but if not, then we can always load the bomb onto a truck and drive back here.", another Spartan said.

Chris nodded at the Spartan's idea about using an anti-matter bomb. "That would probably be the safest idea. If I recall wouldn't an anti-matter bomb created here destroy almost everything within the blast radius? Either way that would probably be the safest bet. Another option would be to defuse the bomb, and bring it here and try and develop something to eradicate the virus inside of it if the Anti-matter bomb does not work." Replied Chris as he turns back to the other Spartan's.

"Now shall I move on to the B.O.W.s that we might encounter there?"

All the Spartans remained silent, giving Christ the signal that they were ready for him to talk about B.O.W.s.

Chris smiled as the Spartan's went silent for Chris. However just as soon as they all went silent Chris got a serious look on his face. "Okay good, now as you all may know B.O.W. stands for Bio Organic Weapon. It is a term that was used by Umbrella Corp, and Tricell for any creature that is intentionally created or genetically modified using a type of mutagen. Successful examples and the main ones I will be talking are the Tyrant series, Hunters and Lickers, but before we begin... does anyone have a way for me to display images? You know like a slide projector of sorts, except one that could connect to a communicator?" Said Chris as he took out his communicator. "I would at least like to show everyone images of what the B.O.W.s look like."

"Plug it in over on at the table port.", one of the Spartans said to Chris as he pointed at the end of the table.

Briefing Room
______________

Chris looked at the Spartan and nodded as he walked over to the end of the table. Chris then proceeded to plug his communicator to the table port. Chris then continued to display an image of a Licker.

"Now first things first I shall talk about the Lickers." Said Chris as he looked at the group. "The Licker is one such mutation experienced by zombies as part of the V-ACT process which is a process in which the heart begins pumping blood at an alarming rate, causing noticeable blood seepage in the skin and giving it a crimson shade of red. The subject's fingers and toes develop sharp claws and an increased muscle mass and movement speed. The subject's level of aggression also increases greatly from that of the typical zombie, though whether or not a zombie mutates into a Licker depends on the variant of the t-Virus they were infected with. The mutations transform them into more deadly and agile hunters. Zombies that go through the V-ACT process will first transform into a Crimson Head which are more dangerous and aggressive, before changing into a Licker. The most striking changes that occur, normally when a zombies is in the transition from a Crimson Head to a Licker, are the exposed brain tissue; an increase in muscle development; and the total loss of skin. Because of the lack of skin-constraint and the development of muscular tissue the Licker is very agile, capable of performing surprising jumps to incredible heights and distances, and moves much more rapidly. Their quadrupedal bone structure makes it more suitable for them to crawl about on all fours. The Licker also uses its talons to scale vertical structures and ceilings with ease. This allows the creature to use predatory tactics to surprise their prey. These new hunting strategies also showcase its increased primal intellect. Finally, its elongated tongue is shown to be enormously powerful, capable of piercing human flesh and often being used to decapitate its prey. Although naturally quiet and a master of ambushes, the presence of a Licker can often be hinted at by the sound of their raw flesh and claws scraping against whatever surface they happen to be crawling along, as well as a sibilant hissing sound. When attacking or incurring damage a Licker will also make a variety of screeching sounds, producing a particularly agonized scream when killed which could alert other nearby B.O.W.s" Said Chris.

"Now Lickers aren't without weaknesses. Lickers have lost the use of their eyes entirely and cannot track prey by sight. Their super developed hearing, however, more than compensates for the loss. Upon detecting potential prey it will attack full force with teeth, tongue and claws, often alerting others of its kind in the vicinity as well. Weapons that emit very little sound are incredibly useful in taking out these beasts. Be careful if you hear there significant hiss, or the sound of claws scraping across any nearby surface. If you hear any of those signs remain quiet, and proceed with caution. If you are skilled enough you could easily get passed these things without making a sound. Now any questions before I move on to the Hunters?"
