    What's so wrong with that? With a good connection you can easily get a good 1080p stream for a minimal amount of money. Speed is not a problem as you have told us how high that is already.

      My software doesn't have bugs. It just develops random features.

      Do you have a hour emergency call systems broadcasting radio station WNYW or Internet Explorer?
      Well? Which one?

            What, you don't like Crunchyroll? And as I said, If you dish out a few dollars each month you get full hd. Besides, what did you pay for those drives anyway?

              {‼WARNING‼ Intense idiocy incoming! ‼WARNING‼}
              How can you not like Crunchyroll? It's a great and honest service compared to other streaming sites like Aniplex or any other major site. Heck, Aniplex and FUNimation doesn't even allow streaming of most of their content in the UK (even on their own websites!).

              EDIT: Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t! I just realised that I posted on a spambox thread! Oh god... I'm gonna get- *double-clang* clanged... Wait, why twice? Oh... Two posts in a spambox thread.

                You guys (Tenko & Remi) should get off your weeaboo high-horses and stop laughing at Katrix for suggesting streaming. Really elitist and uncalled for.

                  Except streaming is actually bad for some people. Lower quality, more artifacting, can't get GOOD subtitles (though it doesn't matter for me). The main issue with streaming is honestly the subtitles for most people, though. Yes, Crunchy has come a LONG way since three years ago. However, they still horribly lack many basic fundamental subtitling etiquettes that any half-decent group would have. Primarily this includes textual translations and their stylings as well as overall font choices and colors. Also, they horribly lack kfx on any insert/OP/ED songs. That said, there IS indeed an issue with video artifacting in a lot of streamed stuff. (Which makes sense since they need to optimize the renders for online streaming. Simplified front-ends for quick loads and overall general lower filesizes to make streaming economic and possible even on standard home internet. That said, video and audio artifacts are EXTREMELY noticeable to the trained eye and ears. There's a reason true audiophiles exist. It's because they KNOW the difference primarily because they know what to look for. The problem with this is that once you know what to look for, you do so subconsciously and will always notice the artifacts and defects even if you don't want to. The same appleis for visual artifacting and defects. The sense of sight is a human's strongest and most intuitive sense. Blind a man and you've killed more than half his overall senses. Visual artifacts are grossly underappreciated because of the sheer volume of sensory input the human eye goes through - we learn to ignore many things and "dumb down" high-sensory input activities such as watching videos and other fast-moving screens. However, with proper knowledge on what to look for and the common issues with poor video rendering (blocking, banding, blending, telecine, ghosting, rainbowing, ringing, overcropping/sharpening/smoothing, etc) it becomes painfully obvious to the viewer. There's a natural phenomenon in the human sensories that makes it so that once a certain thing has been pointed out, it becomes extremely difficult to "unhear" or "unsee" the fact. This applies for both positive and negative things, but are more pronounced with negativities. We've all been through them. Once someone points out a small flaw in something, you will forever notice it there even if the rest of the object is absolutely breathtaking. (Think of it as a form of OCD) Think of it this way. For most users on minecraft, anything that's more than a dirt hut will look amazing to them. However, the higher standards we get and the more examples of "bad building" we learn, builds become painfully obvious when they're "bad" even if the average user might look at it and go "Holy shit, nice!" (Think of our past SDMs and Libraries) And yes, I realize that for many people, many of the video artifacting issues that are mentioned will be like "BUT WHO THE FUCK WOULD NOTICE THOSE WHILE WATCHING A SHOW", the fact here is that yes, some people do actually notice these issues. Again, think of our building standards in mc. Many people would simply say, "BUT WHO THE FUCK WOULD THINK THE PAST 6 SDMS HAVE BEEN BAD", to many of us it actually did need renovating for a variety of reasons. (Obviously this is a general statement and not specific to the SDM)

                  For a blantantly obvious example of visual artifacting that most people should be able to notice. Get a 480p video (or lower) and now fullscreen it. You might not "mind" the stretching that becomes extremely evident, but you should be able to easily notice it on any modern monitor (CRT might have issues hue). Now imagine that but with infinitely smaller details and in greater numbers. Now imagine you have OCD for those issues. Yeah.

                  The point being, sure there might just be elitists when it comes to anti-streaming. However, there are those such as myself who ACTUALLY and LEGITIMATELY do not like streaming for a completely present issue. I'm not saying streaming is BAD necessarily. For many people, paying a few bucks and streaming is the ideal and most economic solution. However, for high-level hobbyists that have dedicated hundreds, thousands, some even tens of thousands of hours onto a certain hobby with the goal of appreciating it to the greatest of possibilities, these issues are real and noticeable. So at least for me, no I wasn't just being a dick for some mindless elitist reason. I actually do not like streaming because the video and subtitle qualities are painfully lacking to the trained eye.

                    Minecraft builders' expectation is like exponential growth equation.

                    They're mostly the same until you get to the very top.

                    That being said, who cares if one watches anime through streaming, or watches it through download? The point is that we watch it. ^^;;

                      Again, there's nothing really "wrong" persay about streaming. Just to those who notice the differences, it's sort of like living in a dirt hut or a grandiose mansion. I mean, sure. Neither are inherently "wrong" or "bad". In fact, being in a dirt hut might even be considered more "efficient" because you can have everything you need in a small and accessible space. However, for those who have higher standards and notice the flaws of bad builds, a dirt hut is unacceptable more from a fundamental standpoint.

                        It's fine you don't like streaming, just actually explain your points thoroughly like you just did instead of spamming "ew" over and over again and typing out laughs. It's really disrespectful towards someone who doesn't see the problem. :|

                          admittedly, I do tend to forget that not everyone has spent thousands of hours on subtitling which accentuates every single issue there is with subtitles and video renders like I have. When you're the provider for fansubs, you also get every single complaint in the universe related to fansubs and related things.

                            Alright, here is another question. In a few months I will be doing a school project where I need top notch 1080p quality on a anime. How much space per episode would I use?

                                I guess it is to be expected. It that case it won't be too bad. I mean I can normally use something like 10 - 20 GB for a film project.
