Most Gif Images{As in the ones on tumblr} use about 500-900 MB roughly, unless you edit the colors, which can bring them down to about 130-200 MB, but lowers quality.

Uhhh i have no idea what you're doing with gifs but they rarely, if ever go higher than 1mb.
Don't you mean 500-600 KILOBYTES? Those are a bit different
For a comparison, I was able to compress our server video 100 minutes long and at 360p, down to about 900mb. This entire forum software, vbulletin, takes no more than 150mbComment
