    The eyes don't appear to be at the correct angle relative to the head's angle, they're not on the same horizontal line, they're too far apart, and they're too close to the nose.

    But who am I to judge? If that's Hat's style, so be it. It looks fine nonetheless.

      Style isn't a valid excuse for being shit.


      I'm very aware of my flaws, but I'm in an interesting situation where something looks fine to me but looks off to everybody else. In all cases, the audience is the one making the decisions and the producer needs to adapt. This is why I'm not actually doing the official art for the game.

      EDIT:

      that being said, it's an ok effort for scribbling on a blank canvas without using any production lines, I guess

          Here's more art stuff. I thought about drawing cool helmet designs. Couldn't decide on horn style though.



          Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

          You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

            thought it was about time i tried some different stuff so i browsed dA and started smashing styles together again. Also used construction lines for the first time and bothered to check facial structure etc.

            i like how it turned out, might come back and finish this.

                  That stuff's pretty cute, gotta say. I prefer... darker stuff. Detailed kind of things. Only exception to that is Kirby and sometimes Pokemon. Like this, for instance.
