Oh you wouldn't think I would one day get premium and see what you have done?
Pre-1.43 I got insane amounts of RP and Lions when flying the B-17 in RB.
Post-1.43 The repair cost was greater than the Lions gained per match and being shot down easily didn't help the matter.
So I finally decided to get premium.
I found where my insane amounts of RP and Lions went for what I could do as a B-17 in RB.
So ya...
>Got Premium
>Flies B-17 in RB
>3 days later
>B-24 get
>gained 90,000+ RP in less than 3 days (about 9 hrs)
...*sigh*
So this pretty much means that once you hit tier 4-5 you practically need premium in order to offset the RP and Lions needed to research, purchase, upgrade, and repair.
Unless you are insanely good in RB and don't have bad days like me. In which case it's more needed for just research.

I'm screwed. I've been having a lot of bad days on war thunder, esp when I play b17. Gaijin, why must you nerf b17?

It was to make it more realistic. Still think that if the DM is to be realistic, so should the controls and thus aim.
But I've learned that the best way to work B-17 now is to be sneaky. Don't be a linebacker, be the quarterback. Use your allies as meat shields. Clouds are your friend. Become ninja. No clouds? Climb as if your life depended on it.
Oh and I went into German tree a bit more.
...for some reason I feel the German planes better than the American planes. Just in handling alone. Once I get the B-57 Canberra, I'm switching to Germanyand my mission is to obtain the ME 410. Time to become the hunter.
