Not specific, but an idea for Hina:
Hina's final spell is Pain Flow, which sounds like you're "flowing" the pain that you receive into the enemy. So I was thinking, how about a Ghost-type with Curse or Spite?

But I was looking for an "eater" Pokémon.

Tenshi's built up a number of suggestions now.
Guess that means it's about time to work through them and put a thingie together.

I think that puts Momiji at
Mightyena - "wolf"
Escavalier - "Sword"
Bastiodon - "Shield"
Sounding pretty snazzy.

Wakasagi is a mermaid so I was thinking Gorebyss myself.
I don't want to pile too many fish on her though.
So I think we should learn more about her personality and pick some for that.

Same for Seki.
She's gotta be more than just a head-throwing girl. ^.^
What is their dialog like in-game. (I can't read Japanese for butt.)

A: There's a translation on the wiki

B: There IS an english patch, you know.

On another note, Misdreavus is a good match for Seki, not only for the head, but the fact that both of them want to terrify people.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Misdreavus sounds nice. What about something for her red mask?

Also, we should add Mightyena for Kagerou instead, and replace Momiji's with Growlithe. Growlithe is a dog/wolf, and is also very territorial.
Otherwise, Absol for Hina!

I had no idea there was English patch already. That was crazy fast.

Wriggle,
Hina definitely needs Pokémon that learn curse and spite.
Absol is such a sad creature. But its habit of following disaster is reminiscent of Hina's attraction to misfortune. ^.^

I was worried about that werewolf taking Momiji's dog.
Growlithe is a fine replacement though.

I'm thinking a snake Pokémon would be good for Eirin.
A snake coiling around a rod (Rod a Asclepius) is an ancient and still used symbol for medicine.
Serviper in particular comes to mind since it's a Poison-type, and Eirin's been known to make medicine out of poison.

Also adding Mokou and Flandre to the first post.

Kokoro: Mespirit
Kokoro controls emotions, Mespirit is the being of emotions.

Any Lunarian: Cresselia
It's a representaiton of the crescent moon, yeah, one of the Lunarians has to have it.

Musical character: Maractus
It is said to sound like a maraca when it moves.

Ran: Slowking
To match Ran's intelligence.

Ah. Good, good.
I'm liking the suggestion for Mesprit
and I actually forgot Maractus even existed. ^.^

Cresselia though.
It'd make a good fit for Lunarians based on that,
but I was thinking not to resort to using it because its abilities to dispel nightmares may be better suited to another character.
Not sure who yet, (PC-98 Mugetsu?) but it'd be a shame to misplace such an ability.

Thank you.
Being unable to come for another Pokémon for Ran was starting to irk me a bit.
I knew she was more than just a Ninetails. ^_^

No-one expects the Maractus inquisition.

I was thinking, why not Starmie for Sanae? Her danmakus are all ☆s.

[Editing as I go to prevent double or triple post]
(Kaguya) Clefairy
Kaguya -> Exiled from Moon -> Moon Stone -> Clefairy.

(Wakasagihime) Dewgong
Both have tails for legs. Old seafarer legend says Jugons actually allured sailors by acting like mermaids.

(Mamizou) Linoone
Obvious facts are obvious.

(Kisume) Forretress and Ferrothorn
They're both within their shell (bucket) and are very defensive.

(Letty) Walrein
Ice, and also accounts for Letty's huge, well, you know.

Ooh.
These are all pretty well thought out.

I just wish Linoone was a more Tanuki like raccoon.
If we're still doing this by the time October rolls around, Gen 6 might have one for us.

You're talking about her huge hitbox, right? Right? >.>

EDIT:
Also along the same lines as Forretress,
Shellder/Cloyster might be good for Kisume.
