Research Laboratory - The Castle That Never Was
Cole was managing to hold his own. One of the crossbow wielders had been shot down by the girl and the other three had taken some damage from his lightning bolts. The fight was swinging in their favour, if hadn't already been in their favour. But as the fight progressed, the small platform expanded and reformed back into one of the test chambers, presumably his own.
As the room resettled and had taken shape, 24 more creatures appeared. 8 of them were a metallic grey and had no weapons. These 8 seemed to glide around the room and had long thin arms for attacking. Cole could guess that these used their arms for attacking. 4 of them were large and bulky wielding hammers. The hammer users appeared to slow and bulky so they did seem much of a threat to Cole. The remaining 12 of the newcomers were the most peculiar things of all. Cole could barely even comprehend the things' appearances. But Cole noticed that some of these 12 were contorting their bodies in various shapes. Are these creatures shapeshifters? Regardless, Cole knew that these 12 could not be trusted.
Cole moved his focus away from the crossbow wielders and towards the 12 shapeshifters. He then opened fire on each of the 12 shapeshifters with his lightning bolts.
The girl was taken back by the sudden transformation of the platform. She quickly noticed that she along with the man and the 3 creatures had been placed in a strange room with a glass tube in the centre. The girl quickly remembered that she had been put into one of these glass tubes after- After what? The girl couldn't not remember what had happened prior to waking up from the tremor. In fact, the last thing she remembered doing was- The girl tried to put the thought to rest and placed her focus back onto the creatures. Strange, the girl could swear that there were only 3 of the creatures. Now there were 24 more of them. How could the girl have not noticed them?
The girl then continues her process of singling out one of the creatures and firing at them with her danmaku. Although the fight would be long and arduous, the girl had no choice. She did not have anything else that could assist her in the battle. She didn't have any weapons or anything else that could speed up the fight.

They reached the top of the stairs, and this seemed to be the end of the line, as no more stairs going up existed. The sign for the door read "Solarium".

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Images of Rena being subdued by the Crow Riders flashed through his mind, giving him more incentive to follow her. "Let's go.", Lily said as they entered the front door to Prometheus Labs.
Sector 1 - Prometheus Labs - London | Night
Once inside the lobby, Lily walked at a brisk pace, through the lobby and down the various halls of Sector 1. After a couple of minutes, Lily and Elsword entered what appeared to be an office, and on the computer desk was a thin stack of papers.
"Okay, all you have to do is sign your name on all the places where it asks you to do so. After that, we need to take your picture and that should be it.", Lily said to Elsword as she handed him a pen.
Outside the Superstore - Somewhere on the West Coast - California | Dusk
Rena stopped and turned to Isaac. "I'm sorry Isaac but I'm in a hurry! I promised a friend of mine that I would get back home by now! I really need to get going Isaac!" She said as she turned around to run off again. This time however her running was a bit faster since she was outside the due to her summoning a small gust of wind to give her a speed boost.
Sector 1 - Prometheus Labs - London | Night
Elsword looked at the stack of papers then the pen Lily was holding. "Are you serious? All I need to do is sign some pictures and get my picture taken? Is that seriously it? Okay then..." He said as he took the pen and began signing the papers.
Meanwhile Raven had finally finished changing into his old Crow Mercenaries Uniform. Luckily it was just the right size. The pants were a little tight, but the uniform still fit almost perfectly. "Damn... I can't believe this old thing still fits..." He said as he looked at himself in the mirror of the changing room. As he did memories of his past flashed through his mind. Memories of his fellow Crow Mercenaries fighting their hardest to protect him against the army of Velder... the kingdom he fought for... the kingdom that ended up betraying him... "No... that's all in the past... I still won't forget you everyone... especially you Seris..." He said to himself as he left the changing room. "Now I better find Elsword and Lily..." He said as he began to make his way to Sector 1 now that he is in a new set of clothes.

John readied the M249 light machine gun (SAW) and approached the door, listening for any hostiles that might have been waiting inside.

"Wait! I need to give you something so that you can contact me! Those guys might come back!", Isaac shouted to Rena as he activated his thrusters.

"Well, it's only for the lower-security sections of the Labs. If you want access to the deeper parts like Sector 3, you would need to give DNA samples and fingerprints.", Lily said to Elsword.
Lily paused fr a moment, then spoke again.

As soon as Isaac landed, he quickly pulled out his wallet and pulled out a piece of paper and a small pen. It was somewhat unusual for a person to be carrying around paper and pens, but Isaac would sometimes get ideas for devices and tools, and would draw schematics while on the go. After ripping off a corner of the paper and writing his phone number on it, Isaac handed the piece of paper over to Rena.
"There. If anything happens, call me and I'll be there to help.", Isaac said to Rena.
Right after Isaac handed her the paper, he turned around, but stopped in his tracks. Because of his persistence, Rena would possibly be late. He didn't really want her to be late because of him, so he offered to quickly fly her to her destination.
"If you want, I could get you to wherever you're going so that you're not late. I'd be able to travel faster than if you ran.", Isaac said to Rena.

I can actually run pretty fast. Besides I still have about..." She said as she looked at a small stop watch she had. "I still have about 6 minutes left. You see I just promised my friend that I would be back in time for dinner. She gets kind of sad when I'm not around for dinner, and I just can't stand to see her sad. Anyways I must get going! I hope to talk to you again soon!" She said as she took off running at a pretty quick speed, which was made even faster thanks to the small concentrated gust of wind she summoned.

Isaac waved goodbye to Rena and headed back into the superstore. Intent on finally buying materials and going home.

There's no insane cultists, no corrupt crazy governments or organizations, and absolutely no alien space zombies wanting to eat or kill people.), Isaac thought to himself as he walked inside, moving past the various people entering and exiting the store.

Instead, it started it. He gripped his revolver tightly, as he did the binary sword, the very same he took from Phobos. He walked on, and as a zombie popped out of the corner of his eye he shot it through the head, not even turning to face it. He had fires in his bloodshot eyes, the same he had all those years ago. He had come back not for the weapon that John wanted, that was just an excuse. He even walked past the armory without a glance.
