AtWaG - Arc Archive and Timeline

Ok in the package of things we're going to try and start and maintain is a way to organize and analyze how we should go about our individual arcs.

So we're going to do this:

    Arc Timeline

I recall toying with the concept a while ago but dropped it.

So we're gonna get serious on this.

All arcs will need some sort of informative application.

Now because this is going to be initially...rough...there will be a lot to iron out.

My thoughts are that we treat arcs like quests

[quest background] -> [quest objective and details] -> [quest result/rewards and consequences]

So we would just need to create something that would work as a standardized format.

    Like:

    Arc Title/Codename:

Arc Description/Background: (What is the arc about?)

Arc Objectives: (What should happen in the arc?)

Arc Results: (What is it supposed to result in? What things should change?)

Arc Length: (relative on a scale from 1 [short] - 10 [long])

Ok and here's the google doc for the timeline

Here's how it will work: You pick a column for one of your arcs and work with it. Claim a color and fill in the cells that will represent it. If you have multiple arcs, put them next to each other by inserting columns.

Then you just copy and paste in your arc title and then you could subdivide the time allotted. If the drawing tool was more intuitive, I would say to draw lines to other's arcs that tie in with your own.

So, since I was one of the people that began this, I guess it would make sense to continue. Other people should begin to fill out these too so I can actually be sure what arcs there are going to be. Yes, we need it.

    Arc Title/Codename: 2. Keyblade war

Arc Description/Background: Org XIIIs grand plan of plunging the world into darkness and see it's rebirth. First they position Kingdom Hearts above the earth and spread the message that it holds unlimited power. They plan to make normal people make Keyblades in the Image of the X-blade and fight for Kingdom Hearts. If all goes according to plan, the darkness in their hearts will increase until it fills the whole world.

Arc Objectives (What should happen in the arc?):
The main group (and other groups) will fight Org XIII and attempt to stop them in their plan. During the arc, most of the members will be killed. During the final battle, they will all be revived because of time travel where they have to be defeated (not killed, you don't want to make a paradox) again one last time. People will also have to try to reason with people and convince them that they are just being used by Org XIII and that they won't gain anything.

Arc Results: The result is supposed to be that Org XIII is defeated, the world is saved and I am left with nothing to do (lol). I still have to find out what happens to all the Keyblades.

Arc Length: 10. Arc have been in progress since Season 1 and is supposed to last trough most of Season 2 too. It won't be a very linear arc and will instead pop om now and again.
    Born in the light.
    Molded in the dark
    .

    Never Forget,
    Keep Fighting.
    –Don't Forget.
    Always, somewhere,
    someone is fighting for you.
–As long as you remember her,
    you are not alone.

.....well the format should do nicely.

      IwasdoubtingmyselfIfIthoughtofenoughthingstocaptur eeverything

      Arc Title/Codename: Grima

Arc Description/Background: Grima returns and attempts to destroy the world... However allies from unlikely places will aid the heroes in their attempt to put down the Fell Dragon once and for all.

Grima was originally put to slumber at the end of Season 1, thus his reawakening was inevitable.

The Dragon's Table will appear in the Sahara Desert, the point where he shall return.
An increase in Risen activity will herald his return.

Arc Objectives: Kill Grima and retrieve Robin's soul.

Arc Results: Grima dies and Robin (M) resurrection, as well as WRAITH coming out of the shadows...

Arc Length: 7...only because it technically started in Season 1

        Arc Title/Codename: Digital virus comeback

        Arc Description/Background:

        Background
After the virus called D-reapper was destroyed from both the human and Digital world, the Tamers and Digimon were separated due to the need to repair the damages on each world. (that is what is known in the tamer´s storyline)

Here is when the fan stuff starts, since the digital data can be copied, the D-reaper managed to hide herself somewhere safe from the eradication done by Gallantmon´s ultimate form. Getting strength back with time, the virus decided to make another attack, but focused on taking the four gods of the Digital world. Starting with small abductions and indoctrinations, the D-reaper managed to get digimon into the other side to gather information and plan her attack.

The trio of warriors Guilmon, Terriermon, and Renamon were investigating the abductions and with time they knew what was happening, but it was too late because, the assault began with an all out war between the indoctrinated and the surviving digimon to protecct the Digital world. The gods were on the fight too, yet were put on the back to avoid being taken by the virus´ attack.

Terriermon, for his weaponized evolutions was in charge of the armed digimon. Guilmon, for his warrior line of evolution, lead the frontal attacks. And Renamon, for her spiritual evolutions was to both act as spell makers as spies on the enemy line

Battling their way, Gallantmon, Megagagomon and Sakuyamon reached D-reaper before she couldbe fully back at her normal strength, but since the vaccine used in the human world was gone, their only way to finish the virus was to seal her. The only one who could manage the madness and corruption from such creature was the shaman as she used herself as the host for the D-reaper´s soul.

        Description:

The D-reapper is slowly gaining strength again after years of being held inside Renamon´s soul and will try to use anything to get free, but to do such thing, the golden fox should lose her will to fight. Getting out of her cell, the D-reaper will infect anything and everything that has electrical technology.

        Arc objectives:

Find a way to either seal or destroy the D-reaper by using the gifts given to three characters by the beast duo

The D-reaper may trigger a battle either in the real world, the Digital World or inside someone´s mind

        Arc Results:

The D-reaper, dies or gets sealed again by another host or Renamon again, but for good

        Arc length:

I think either from 4 to 5? I don´t know how long they would be.
Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

        Spoiler:

Um... I think everyone is exaggerating length... But oh well. Thing is, I would assume that the length is determined by the actual actiony parts. Anyways, here's mine.

Storyline: The True HellMaster, Part 1 of 4

              Arc Title: Electronic Puppet

Arc Description: HM has decided on becoming more powerful by trying to override all electronic devices to create a sort of electronic apocalypse. He says it is to keep the world under firm grasp to prevent any crimes by oppressing the human populace, but is that it? Is there more to it than a simple mission to oppress the world? Or is there something else... Something more evil at the wheel?

              Arc Objectives:
Defeat all 7 of HM's Personality embodiments.
              Destroy any Terracotta Androids encountered.
Stop HM and defeat him without killing him.

              Arc Results:
The army will have been stopped, any of the remaining androids will cease function and HM will have been apprehended. There shouldn't be deaths, but hey, be my guest...

Arc Length (of actual action, of course): 5-6. It'll be long, but not terribly long.

                Arc Title/Codename: Operation: SIGMA

Arc Description/Background: From the world of Mega Man X, Sigma the original leader of the Maverick Hunters who had gone Maverick at the beginning of the series has returned into the real world. Now with plans to eliminate all humans (both video game humans, and actual real life humans) from the world so non-human can run free. Thanks to the power of a reconstructed Model W Core, a new body, and a few other secrets he has hidden he can revive deceased Reploid's, machines, and AI with only a small amount of their data. With this new tool can he truly fulfill his evil plans? Or will he be stopped for the final time?

                Arc Objectives:
                Defeat Sigma's main Leading Maverick's
                Find Sigma's location
                Storm his Base
                Defeat Sigma.

Arc Results: A few characters introduced, Zero getting captured then being forced into his awakened state where he will fight X, and a few currently owned characters dying permanently (the Light family mostly AKA Dr. Light, Proto Man when introduced, and X.) A certain original Blue Bomber joining the team, and hopefully a big reveal after Sigma's defeat where it's revealed that a certain creator of the original Model W had purposefully given Model W blueprints knowing FULL WELL that Sigma would fall to the heroes, and that this character (who is at this time reformed) will then take Model W, and purposefully try and get someone like Yukari to change it's properties to only be used for good. Then well... the arc will come to an end, and it can lead into the rest of the story.

Arc Length: 4-6 Really depends on how eager people are for this. Please note that I have been planning this since the MIDDLE OF SEASON ONE. I had originally planned for this arc to take place, and currently in ATWAG I have already sort of set up the prologue with Cucoo and Wriggle. So... yeah.

A few days later, Rinnosuke delivahs th' poshun-poisoned sake t'ev'rybody, sayin' he brewed them hisse'f. Ev'ry Yo'kai six packs it, reckonin' it is no trimenjus deal, ah reckon. It tasted a bit sweeter, an' th' Yo'kais like it.

'Cept fo' th' big sis Yukari, on account o' she's already lovestruck about John-Boy, an' that she wuz also involv'd in the entire bus'ness.

                  [EDIT #2]Looks like I'll be writin' ev'rythin'.

                  League of... AtWaG arc
                  Spoiler:

Arc Title: John-Boy's team in th' Fields of Jestice

                  Arc Description:

Back in th' day befo'e Annie was hestlin' in Junsokyo wif th' Yakumos, Annie was a famous Champion: someone hired by th' Insteetoote of War t'fight fo' th' Summoners called t'settle th' disputes between city-states in an islan' called Valo'an, as enny fool kin plainly see. Her popularity was so great, not only were she used t'settle disputes, but she was also summoned fo' th' Summoner's own merit: sech as power an' influence t'money. Back when she was li'l, Annie jest liked settin' thin's on fire so she liked bein' summoned t'fight in th' glo'ified gladiato' arena called Fields of Jestice. But as she grew older, her belief system began developin', an' she sar th' League matches as nothin' mo'e than slave fights. So one day, fed up wif ev'rythin', she burned shit t'th' groun' an' bailed out.

Th' Insteetoote was havin' none of thet, so they sent out th' baddess of bounty hunters t'ketch Annie. But no baller wifout balls of steel'd foller Annie t'th' po'tal t't'otherwo'ld in th' ruined city of Ithaca, so Annie was able t'safely arrive in Junsokyo.

Few days later, Annie was bran'ed a criminal status, an' a curato' Champion known as Nasus was sent t'retrieve Annie peacefully, usin' violence eff'n an' only eff'n necessary. Thankfully fo' Annie, she met a righteous man called John-Boy in Junsokyo, who decided t'he'p this hyar pore li'l gal fum th' Insteetoote's grasp.

As John-Boy an' Nasus peeped game in th' office of th' chief of th' Insteetoote, Vessaria Kolminye, this hyar leader seems t'have a sof' spot fo' Annie Hastur, an' comes up wif a deal t'let Annie hoof it in a few corndishuns:

Annie's Repentance: an interrogashun based on pryin' on th' Champion's mind t'see whut he/she is pow'ful up to, kin be held in th' method thet John-Boy has suggested, but only at th' watchful eyes of Vessaria Kolminye herse'f.

An' John-Boy muss gather up th' toughess fighters thet he kin gather t'participate in an impo'tant match thet was supposed t'be kincelled between Team Solomid an' Cloud 9, wif John-Boy's team representin' th' popular Team Solomid, cuss it all t' tarnation.

So John-Boy grabs hisse'f th' top lane, whar all th' beefy bruizzus hoof it to rumble; hooks up wif Utsuho, th' firepower-lovin' nucular bird who is a li'l goofy in th' haid as mid lane whar all th' magic-wieldin', trigger-happy psychos haid off t'blast etch other wif magic an' assassinashun an' all thet bullshit; bribes Reimu, th' shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine who cares mo'e about money than is deemed necessary as AD Carry, someone who farms early game t'retch th' maximum potential late game; an' hires Jason Brody, a talented survivalist who kin retch t'superhoomin potential wif his tattoos, fo' th' role of gankin' lanes an' grantin' th' team buffs an' global gold in th' jungle. John-Boy still has yet foun' an app Suppo't, someone who fo'egoes buildin' items fo' him/herse'f t'favo' th' match fo' th' AD Carry an', through thet, th' entire team, but John-Boy has a purdy fine idea who he be hankerin' t'hire as a Suppo't.

When th' entire team is assembled, John-Boy's merry group of five is t'travel wif Annie (who volunteered as a coach) t'th' Insteetoote of War whar they will be put into battle aginst th' risin' stars of Cloud 9.

So grab yer fust items an' git t'lane, on account o' minions haf spawned! Fry mah hide!

                  Arc Objeckives:

                  John-Boy needs t'win a League battle t'be able to...

                  - Free Annie of her criminal status
                  - Aller Insteetoote of War t'regain balance by showin' thet th' Summoners kin keep their Summoned Champions corntrolled
                  - Mebbe git some sweet loot on th' way too.

                  Arc Results:

Ah cain't tell yo', on account o' thass called spoilers, right?

                  Arc Len'th:

On account o' League battle don't hoof it by th' real clock, th' League battles doesn't take enny time between th' beginnin' an' th' end, cuss it all t' tarnation. To John-Boy an' t'others, it'll feel like about 6 hours haf passed, cuss it all t' tarnation.

I guess i'll just put this here, since it's already sort of in progress.

Arc Title/Codename: Alliance of the Auditor

Arc Description/Background: After Auditor gained control over the Mental Institution and escaped Earth and into space, he began gathering his resources, getting those who had or have a vendetta with Earth and the people on it, and created a large alliance of many powerful characters and their armies, with a goal to end the galaxy and recreate it, under their rule.

But before that, quite a few people in the alliance are out to get their revenge by ending the abominatable planet they know as Earth, and everyone on it.

Arc Objectives: Defend Earth from the Auditor & co.'s forces.

                      Get to the Auditor's base.

Kill or stop him and the alliance.

Arc Results: Well that would be spoilers.

Arc Length: 10. Arc's in progress and is meant to go through the entirety of the second season, ending near or at it's conclusion. It pops in and out of relevance through the season.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

cucoo or Katrix or anyone who knows

I don´t know how the arclength scale works, so how long, in post or pages terms, will it take for the arc length?

Mine is fairly short if it works smoothly or can be long if luck goes sour
Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

I have no idea. I plan sketches not detailed full things. What happens in-between or however long it takes, I don't know.

                            @ Kristia

                            It's relative.

tbh there's no set...anything. Like I mentioned before, it's purely order of events.

ok then, my arc may just need of requirement to have our dear gap controller to be sane and free of madness, then it can start whenever possible
