Ok in the package of things we're going to try and start and maintain is a way to organize and analyze how we should go about our individual arcs.
So we're going to do this:
Arc Timeline
I recall toying with the concept a while ago but dropped it.
So we're gonna get serious on this.
All arcs will need some sort of informative application.
Now because this is going to be initially...rough...there will be a lot to iron out.
My thoughts are that we treat arcs like quests
[quest background] -> [quest objective and details] -> [quest result/rewards and consequences]
So we would just need to create something that would work as a standardized format.
Like:
Arc Title/Codename:
Arc Description/Background: (What is the arc about?)
Arc Objectives: (What should happen in the arc?)
Arc Results: (What is it supposed to result in? What things should change?)
Arc Length: (relative on a scale from 1 [short] - 10 [long])
Ok and here's the google doc for the timeline
Here's how it will work: You pick a column for one of your arcs and work with it. Claim a color and fill in the cells that will represent it. If you have multiple arcs, put them next to each other by inserting columns.
Then you just copy and paste in your arc title and then you could subdivide the time allotted. If the drawing tool was more intuitive, I would say to draw lines to other's arcs that tie in with your own.
