Character Vs. character is totally allowed. Just when a lot of people are in the air, its hard to actually vs. a character and not their boat. On the ground, however? Who knows!

As for stealing Charters, thats difficult. Sure, if you stole someone's charter, either the person or their paper copy, you could technically steal their ship, too. Unfortunately the decoding process is handled by the Dockmasters, so grabbing someone's charter wont tell you what ship is registered to it. You dont wanna be the guy that tries to take off a ship with a charter made for the ship across the pier.
I gazed up at the sable-haired maiden with eyes so full of warmth it appeared she was crying silently. My trecherous mouth opened, "Why do you look so troubled, Princess?"

Slowly, she moved her eyes from the moon to me. She studied my imperfections before her for what seemed to be a blissful eternity before gracing me with her voice, "I've slain this land's only prince. What use, now, is a princess?"

As the maiden left my presence, so too did my heart.

      Name: Kathryn

      Gender: Female

      Race: Human

      Age: 16

      Appearance:

Class / Sub Class: Thief, pirate?

      Role on Ship: Conducter?

      Nationality: Imperial?

      Background:

Kathryn grew up in a small and poor town where everyone had to fend for themselves. This naturally had a big effect on Kathryn, as the years went on she became an excellent thief, capable of unlocking locks, evading traps, hide away, stealing from nearly anyone, and that sort of stuff. As Kathryn grew older she learned even more stuff like for example fighting in close quarters. In fights like this Kathryn was used small needles that she would throw or stick in crucial spots like arteries on the person she was fighting.

One day however she managed to get into a situation where she didn't have any needles handy, and fleeing was hard. She fought as hard as she could, but is just wasn't enough. Suddenly when she touched one of her opponents with her hand she felt a new type of power flowing through her. Her hand quickly heated up, leaving a nasty burn mark on her opponent, while leaving her just fine. She had no idea what happened here, but decided to make to most of it, gaining enough of an edge on the opponent to be able to flee.

After that, Kathryn tried to make sense of what she had done, and after some time she understood that she had used magic. While she had heard a lot about magic from traders, magic wasn't really anything common where she lived. This just made her more exited. Kathryn decided that she would make the best use of it as possible, but she still needed a way to train. Sure she could try to train herself, but it would be much easier if she had a teacher of some sort. While it wasn't the best, Kathryn decided that she would take conducting lessons from the small airport that the city had. It was far away from the type of magic she wanted to use, but at least she learned more about it.

After a few years taking conducting lessons, Kathryn felt that she was ready to take on something new. She wanted to get out there, and not just be stuck in the stinking town that she lived in. So what did she do, what she always did if she wanted something. She took it. One night when everything pointed to a successful plan, Kathryn did what she had wanted to do for so long. A small trading ship had docked in the airport. The owners was in the tavern drinking away, and the guard seemed to be taking a little nap. First of she broke into the room the traders were staying in and stole the paper copy of the charter. Kathryn had never really understood what it was, she just knew that it was important. Next she made her way to the actual ship. Luckily she didn't have the guess which one it was as the airport only had space for one ship. She quickly went on board and made sure everything was in order. Once everything was clear, she started the ship and took off.

Once Kathryn had flown for a few hours and made sure that no one had followed her, she landed the ship in a place which seemed suitable and easy to hide. She probably looked like some drunk captain while flying the ship as she was only one person, so it was important to stay low. While on the ground, Kathryn searched the ship to find out what else aside from the ship she had actually stolen. She found some nice clothes, and some other handy stuff that she kept for herself. The other stuff she could sell.

Before I start developing and working on my characters, I have to ask one thing.
What on earth are the Lian? Of all the races you described, I still have no clue what to think of Lians. They're short, seemingly magical, use leylines to navigate? (you're gonna have to expand upon that point because idk what that means), and can transform into the demonic Tyrants. But that all I can get from their description. What exactly are they? Are they like halflings? Elves? Or are they their own unique and 110% original race? I can't consider making one of my characters one if I know nothing about them. What are they?
I need to know Alayo. You're textually cock-blocking me. I can't sleep knowing that there are holes in my knowledge!

          Class / Sub Class: Engineer
Role on Ship: Ship´s engine master
          Nationality: Gandivan

Background: Born around the ships of the main cities of Gandivan, Cecilia saw ships every day, but much to her bad luck, the blonde red eyed woman´s only interaction with them was to drive the ships with her family. Being from on of the wealthy families of Gandiva made Cecilia being trapped inside the Rainheart private properties.

As a child, Cecilia went through all those classes of etiquette, dancing, piano (ugh..) and all the political crap that the world was having, yet there was something that always brightened her mood. Her father´s workshop.

Her father was an aristocrat and had noble blood, but also was someone who had hobbies and one of them was building ships and engines. He was delighted that his daughter shared something with him because he knew that the life of politics was a drag for Cecilia. So he tried to show her everything he could of ships.

Time passed, Cecilia kept working on the workshop and endure the aristocrat life, her fellow students knew she had odd quirks and the talk about a noble girl working on machinery was scandalous, to the point of reaching the Rainheart matriarch, Cecilia´s grandmother. The countess was fuming at her son who was teaching such trash to the blonde girl and decided to send her to a private school, hoping she would get back to the "correct" way of life.

Cecilia knew that would be pretty much hell and had the idea of escaping, sure she would probably be disowned of the family, and disrespected among the noble houses, but she prefered to make her own life. There were still a couple of days for the crimson eyed woman to be sent to the private school as she was ready to leave to whatever place away from the city, she had stashed her savings and knew how to get jobs thanks to her experience in the machinery. Just as she was about to leave, her father came to her and simply smiled knowing her intentions, the heir to the head of the family handed her some supplies and gave her a proper goodbye.

The first few years were rough for the blonde, many declined her offer to work and the few who accepted were only temporary, but then a big job appeared, in the form of one of the big trader ships, the engine had a massive failure and nobody managed to find the error, so they were accepting anyone if they managed to fix the problem.

So there she was, inside the engine´s machinery, stuck with so many problems that there wasn´t one damaged thing, but the whole thing was the error. It took her a week to replace the damaged equipment. But soon the ship was back online. Thanks to this job made her famous, job request came to her on the bulk, but also came with problems.

Other engineers knew about the crimson eyed wonder and preferred her out of the competition, so Cecilia needed to be on the move, and it was on one night that she met two travelers on a bar who needed a crew, the payment was small, but they didn´t care much about her history, only that she would be effective, honest and enjoy the work.

And with that, Cecilia Rainheart became the engineer of a crew that would last for a long time.
Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

Question: Could I make a complete clusterfuck of an airship that is technically an Imperial ship but is really a floating scrapyard of junk metal that makes it look like an ugly Gandivan ship? I'm thinking extremely quirky in its flight characteristics having componets ill-fitted to keep the ship floating yet somehow it manages to make it from point A to point B 90% intact.

I'll draft an app even though I'm not certain what I'm doing right now. I'll come back later to finish it.

Might be something different talked about here, but normally ley lines mean some sort of straight lines that hold some sort of magic or mana. They go all over the world, and where two or more meet strong magical points are formed. Usually magical or holy structures are built at these points. I don't know how much of this actually applies to the RP though.

Yeah, just answering the part that I had a good idea of being correct. When it comes to the Lian, I don't know too much. I guess when he say fey people he refers to fairy people. It would also make a lot of sense because he mentioned ley lines. (see fairy paths: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_path). My guess is that they are typical fairies, but Alayo also mentioned them being a bit smaller. Maybe the Lian just covers all fairy people?

Are there any other smaller nations around?

Townships that aren't part of the larger empires, or being consumed by them (Diplomatically, of course!!!) don't have docks. They exist, but wont provide much aside from suspicion to adventuring types. People from there are either totally alienated by the bigger empires or are eager to join them and take to the skies!

Quick Referance of the Nations before I am able to give them a proper bio:

Gandiva is completely populated. An island continent and each town is almost a fortress. Anyone living on that Continent Gandiva is Gandivan(nationality, not race, per se). There's lots of water and cliffs, so most towns are on a sky map. Gandivans developed airships to travel their difficult terrain.

The Imperial Lands have lots of little townships, most sworn in to the Imperial Conclave before the war, but scattered after the Conclave got screwed. You'll find a town or two far out there that is firecely loyal to the Imperial Conclave and are like rebels. Pirates. Yay! Imperial lands are a lot like the core of major conturies in our world. Nice, flat, easy to settle with a few workable mountains and such. Bland. Boring. Human, but much more livable than anywhere else. Most Imperial cities are conected by road.

Lian lands are vast, expansive, and ancient. Lian communities just...pop up out of nowhere all the time. They're sort of used to it. After the Tyrant apocolypse, Lian are extreamly happy to find other populated Lian Communites. More often than not, exploration parties will only find ghost towns full of skeletons. Forests. Mountains, Jungles. Foresty-mountainous-jungles. Green Green Green omg cant navigate sh**. Leylines and their intersecting points are the roads and spots cities are at in Lian territory.

                        @TRXD

Lian = Elf that looks exactly like a human, but shorter. Even next to a short human, you just feel that they are Lian. There's no mistaking a Lian for a Human because of the way the magic and stuff affects the mind.

                          @Cucoo5

It needs to be able to fly. All the junk and stuff would weigh it down like an Armor class, and thus you'd be slow. You also got some number problems in there. You got both your Propulsion and your Hover at 3, and your Engine is at 3 as well. The Engine is the Combined totaly of your Energy Consumtion, minus 1. So 3+3-1 = 5.

Also, Your ship size of 2 needs to be able to support the things you have on it. Each gun counts as a "Slot" that takes up space. I assume the "Modified" ship means with all the junk. While that increases size, it has a big impact on what goes where.

                            @ Alayo

The slow part is kinda what I'm aiming for. Basic premise is that it's a really good imperial ship buried underneath an absolute derp-ton of junk turning into a how-is-this-thing-even-flying kinda ship.
And yeah, figured the stats were going to be off. The tricky part is the fact I'm trying to make essentially two ships in one (the base being the Imperial ship, obviously). One thing I just thought of that would make the engine number work is having a bunch of little engines scattered throughout the ship that feed into the main power line in a way that would make this a mechanics nightmare.
Though now I'm trying to figure out what you're intending for the "slots"? The way I'm looking at this is more based on the pictures I was using, as well as the fact that all the junk strapped onto the imperial ship creates more points for weapons to attach to akin to the way hardpoints work. The story behind the weapons and the ship which I'll be getting to is that Cicero (and I'm going to be giving him twin brothers) is a scavenger collecting the scraps of abandoned/ destroyed ships. He and his brothers inherited the Imperial ship but they didn't have the money to really do anything with it except be bottom feeders. And thus the Mighty Derp is born.

I'm not certain what I'm babbling on about right now but I think its to explain what I was thinking but I'm not quite sure.

Size of Ship determines how many "things"(slots) a ship can have. A Flak Cannon is a Thing that takes up a Slot. An Engine takes up a slot. Your pistol does not. The Junk can be counted as Armor, and thus does not.

Edit: Also, You'll need a damn-good engine(To power propulsion and hover)eventually to make the thing move. Keep Cost in mind. Collecting Junk is easy. Making it move is not. Thats why Junk is in Junkyards, not Junk Trucks.

A more logical choice would to be a scrapyard dude, who has a Class 2 or 3 Ship (Maybe uses the company's ship for offical stuff?) but only keeps enough "Things" on it to fill a Class 1 ship, cuz the rest is for the JUUUUUUUUNK

Ok I updated my app with the ship stats and crew members who have asked to be a part of the ship thus far. Added a name for the ship, changed around some parts of Karliah's app (role on the ship, class and sub class) and fixed a few grammar mistakes. I may end up changing some of it depending on ow things go.
