Bandit quietly followed, arms tucked together and held his hands close to his chest as he seemed to be quite uncomfortable in this area. The slight dimmer lights, the empty desk, and with how quiet things were made this placed seemed felt very eerie to the gas man so far. As they approached the elevator, Bandit seemed to stop and just stare at it. Yet despite his lack of a actual face, it seemed like he was a bit hesitant. As such he turned to look at Koi, sighing before stepping into the elevator cautiously.

After Bandit stepped inside, the machine pressed down. Pressing down opened a portion of the plate next to the buttons, revealing a keypad. They quickly typed in a long series of numbers before it gave a soft 'ding' noise, finally moving down afterwards.

Thus, the elevator went down and down and down. It actually seemed to be taking quite a time before the elevator chimed.

The elevator door opened, revealing industrial lights. The first thing Koi noticed were the pair of heavily armed soldiers flanking the door. They couldn't recognize the rifle design they held, but they could tell that it could fire in full-auto. As Soane walked out, the two nodded to the machine, who nodded back in turn. As they moved to the side to allow the two visitors through, Koi finally looked to where they were as they stepped forth.

A large intersection or square of sorts seemed to be before them A large cylindrical dome-like design made up the huge room, scientists, soldiers and robots milling through from section to section, while some relaxed on benches or tables between the various lanes of traffic. Industrial lighting mixed with the smooth white and gray colors of the place. Structural supports were barely visible, those that existed being small and flowing, flawlessly blending in with the surroundings.

"Welcome to Site 47." Soane announced to the two.

"It's... wow." Koi sputtered out, taking it all in. It was something distinctly unlike what they had ever seen before, less industrial than government centers, seemingly at least partially focused on simply being pleasant to look at. Yet it still seemed practical still. If one looked closely, they could still see hints of the heavy metal underneath all of it, of this place practically being a fortress.

"That's the most common response to those who first see a large Site like this. Certainly was mine." Soane replied. "My employer should be here quite soon. Ask any questions you wish before then."

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

The oceans of Cali (an indefinite time later)
After the events that passed, Senna had begun looking around the ship, exploring each and every aspect it under the guise of exploration. As some time passed she came across 013 and their men and in the long run decided it would be best to get a bit more closer to her 'brother'. After some time looking into it she decides it would be best to snipe him in the head with another jellybean, taking out one of the sugary menaces and throwing it right towards his head fairly accurately, though nonlethal.

California boardwalk
Erica walked along the boardwalk, continuing to look at each place for work, giving a bit of a look back at the weird restaurant before looking at the card she was given. Bailey simply gives her a look of confusion before asking her sister the looming question.

"Sis, why did you act the way you did to the man? He seemed very nice."

This statement put Erica to a complete halt she looks over to her sister and simply hugs her, letting her continue to deal with the resume's.

"If I cut the strings that held me hostage would i fall and shatter?"

Project Esper | Hallway Sleeping Area

Jason received the breakfast given to him and gave a soft nod. His thanks started as a quiet murmur, but then aloud.

"Th... Thanks.", Jason said. He seemed not quite as hostile as before, but there seemed to be something more.

Project Esper | Hallway Sleeping Area

Misaka quickly noticed the odd difference in Jason's behavior. He was much less abrasive and a lot more docile. Her face turned to that of consern as she looked the soldier in the eye (or the helmet,) "Is everything alright?"

Bandit seemed quiet as the elevator went down, and even as the elevator doors opened the green gas man held up both hands as other defenseless people would in the same situation. Though Bandit technically wasn't defenseless. He had his friend Koi with him, so he had someone to help protect him. That and Soane seems like a friendly enough... robot for the time being. Fortunately for the gaseous being the soldiers did not attack. As they stepped aside letting Koi and himself through, Bandit let out a silent sigh of relief as he reluctantly stepped out into this strange area of the building.

In all of Bandit's life, to his current knowledge, he's never seen a place like this before. Though seeing the soldiers and robots going back and forth, or simply just relaxing almost made him stop to think as if he remembered something. In fact he was going to say something, but due to the fact that he couldn't actually figure out what he was trying to remember, he decided to remain silent. Instead he simply took in the place. Examining it all closely as if he was trying to record it in his technically non-existent brain.

Although Bandit did ask one question as he walked with Koi. . . "So this is the place where ya' go and collect strange things like me?"

Oceans of Cali

As 013 sat at his seat in the mess hall, he felt something strike him lightly in the back of the head. It didn't feel like he was being attacked, but his instincts immediately put him on alert as he looked over his shoulder before fully turning to look behind him. As he did he looked on the floor and saw a tiny jellybean. Candy. He was hit by candy, and there is only one person he knows and has recently reunited with who'd hit him in the back of the head with such a thing.

"If you don't mind, could you not be annoying for once?"

"One of many, yes. Collection is a harsh term, however. It implies we don't do anything with those creatures we take. Most refer to it as preservation. In hostile instances, it would be containment." the machine started.

"We have made many advances from studying the creatures we have stored here. Genetic enhancements, for the most part. But we've also done some strides in advancing research of Infinitus and the psychics that came from it. Considering your... current state, you would likely be quite helpful towards such research." Soane finished.

Phone call between Sidna and Logan

A few hours after the bloodhounds had found the esper base, Sidna called Logan, both to give him the news and to discuss further plans with him. So far everything had gone to plan. Jason was officially declared dead. Now they just had to take care of the rest.

"Hello Sidna here, I come with good news, although I guess you might have already heard them? Jason is now officially declared dead. For our uses, he's still alive, but most others do not know. I have already prepared a corpse for him that they have found. All that remains is to smoke him out from a terrorist base where he has taken refuge. A slight inconvenience, but we're lucky, we might take out two birds with one stone. The assault begins in a few hours. I'll have Ceres keep watch around the area. Got anything of your own to note or give to the mission?"

Shasta Trinity National Forest | Entrance to Project Esper

Over the night, several people had begun appearing around to the entrance to Project Esper. The bloodhounds had found the entrance, and now the military was getting ready for an assault on the base. As the hours passed and morning got closer, trucks with soldiers began arriving. For now, they just waited, getting stuff ready. Once they heard the start signal, the battle would start.

Phone call between Sidna and Logan

Meanwhile somewhere in Oklahoma. A man known only as Logan answered his phone. Hearing what Sidna had to say, he was pleased. With Jason presumed dead no one would be looking for him. After all according to Sidna, they already found his "corpse"

"Very well done. I knew I could count on you. Now that Jason's a free man, it's only a matter of time before he goes looking for his little sister. He'll be heading to the Carolinas soon enough." he said sounding rather pleased with himself. "I looked over the three espers you showed me from the surveillance footage. We've identified them as Jenny Nightingale and Mikoto Misaka. The third, Accelerator I'm sure you already know. Misaka, as it turns out has a very useful ability. I want that one kept alive. The rest is up to you." he told her. "Watch out for Accelerator, and keep our little Ceres alive will you?" he asked somewhat affectionately as if he were speaking to a friend.

Phone call between Sidna and Logan
"Another one to keep alive? You know what you're doing I hope" Sidna said, sounding slightly inconvenienced. "I'll make sure the soldiers get the message that taking down the other terrorists is the priority. Can't exactly tell them to leave them alive though. Might hurt morale and stuff. Besides, if she falls to simple soldiers like this, I wouldn't think she would be of interest to you. As for Ceres, I'll tell her to keep her hands off this Misaka girl. Don't you worry about her, she'll be a few kilometers away from the battlefield, and she knows how to defend herself if stuff takes a sour turn."
