    Tempus - 7:30 (3-4)

Aion watched the King closely as he recovered. "If this was related to Hyperion...the king should have been dead. No, this was a warning. The only people that know of Hyperion..." Aion unbound the bandage that covered his hands slightly. He saw the brand of eternity, the mark of one of the Guardians of Time. He despised it. As he tightened the bandage, Aion addressed the King. "Sir, Do you remember who did this to you?"
"Let his majesty rest!" snapped one of the guards.
Then another guardsman appeared bearing a vial and a piece of parchment. "I found this on a fellow down by the medical ward. I think we found our assassin."
With out a word, Aion snatched the vial and examined it. "Curious...I know what type of poison this. It's..." He looked up. "What does the note say?"
"...uh...the note is just a written confession."
    "Is that all?"
"Yes, someone recognized the man and the name in the confession matches."
    "....I see...."
"And what is significant of the poison?"
"....oh nothing...It's...it's...native to Shíjian. A basic poison that in small amounts takes ..." Aion stopped again, sudden realization dawned on him. "...Only five hours." He then turned to Nera. "You said that your mission was to prevent the Yaju from attacking Tempus, correct? Is the attack to begin within the time frame of about five-to-ten hours?"
One of the guards put two and two together. "So this was an assassination by the Yaju!"
"No. This was no assassination attempt. This was a set-up." Aion turned to the guard with the note and motioned for him to let him see it.
"The way this played out...Someone wanted this to seem like a Yaju did it so that we would take up arms against them. In our current situation..." He turned to the king. "It would be wise to parley with the Yaju. We could gain allies to fight off the undead."
"Do you really think the King would negotiate with...beasts?!"
"Oh you have a better idea on how to gain reinforcements, to save the city from further destruction, to stop the undead while we are crippled and cornered like rats?"
"I agree...with the mercenary." The King finally composed himself. "We are weak. Despite our history with the Yaju, we must make amends, or face destruction." The King then turned to Nera. "Besides, I do believe that I have a debt now to the Yaju, since one of their own saved my life."

Dalia had obtained a new glass of beer. When she heard the fact that Esmerelda was a self proclaimed fiancé, she choked on her drink slightly. PFFT-COUGH-WHEEZE
Kiara stood and seemed happier. "Aha! I knew you were a good guy!"
Dalia looked from the couple to Kiara. "...uh...ya...sure..." She then proceeded to drain her glass in a single swig and turned to the bartender. "JUST GIVE ME THE WHOLE BOTTLE!"

Lakeside Path - Near Chronomancer's Tower - Gensei Woods

Azeruk was shocked. Just whenever things couldn't get any stranger, the woman named Amurei Burade phased through him, bypassing his armor, his flesh, and bone without any hindrance whatsoever. Many thoughts flashed through Azeruk's mind while Amurei leaned through him. She was definitely a ghost, but usually, such complex ghosts were only possible by a Necromancer. Azeruk didn't really hate Necromancers, but that wasn't going to stop one from hating him. Back to the situation at hand, how was she connected to the tower? Did she know Chronux? Didn't she know that he died about a month ago? As Amurei leaned back to a standing position, she asked a question.

"So, who lives in this tower?", Amurei asked.

Azeruk decided that perhaps he could trust her and that she might have been a friend of Chronux.

"Chronux used to live here, but he died about a month ago. Now, it's just me, his student.", Azeruk said to Amurei.

        Toran shook his head.

"Esmeralda, I've told you plenty times, it would never go through. For one, well... I'm a zombie. You're a human. Don't you think the two kinda don't mix?"

Esmeralda hugged Toran's arm. "Oh, you just keep saying that, but face it, you're just as human as I. Why, the only difference I'd say there is is that hole in your head, and it actually makes you look manlier," she said as she lifted a portion of Toran's hair. It revealed a hole going through the side of his head, as small as a blade. Toran backed away.

"Seriously, don't do that, you might scare someone. Secondly, I already fell in love with Dorothy."

Esmeralda let go and covered half of her face with a fan. "You can't really use that excuse anymore. After all, you tried to kill me, mistaking me for my big sister. Plus, I look exactly like her, we're twins."

Toran was dumbstruck by how right she was. He tried to think up another reason.

"Thirdly, what if my stability gives way and I end up killing you?"

Esmeralda laughed. "Don't worry, Toran dearest. I will fight you off, and of that doesn't work, I will resort to killing you, but with a romantic theme to it! 'Oh, I'm sorry it had to end this way.' 'Don't worry about me. You'll be alright.' Toran, just know that I love you more than anything in the world!' 'Just make sure... That the kids grow up strong like us-'"

Toran was already creeped out at first, but when he heard kids, he covered her mouth. "Okay, we've heard enough here!"

Esmeralda took his hand off slowly. She faced Kiara. "And you. You think he's nice?! Ha! He obviously didn't tell you about what he did oh so long ago. Just tell me this. Have you ever heard of the 'God's hand' City of Toran incident that created the Toran ruins? Should I, dearest?"

Toran thought on it. "... It would... Be best to know... Just how much of a monster I really am."

          Tempus

Nera was still recovering from the venom exchange as she was taking deep breaths. She was now slowly getting on her feet seeing that everyone was discussing about their next problem

The Yaju people were coming towards the capital leaded by the rhinoceros chief who was too deep on his hatred towards the other species to see the reality of the world

"Thank you for your acceptance your highness, as you heard the Yaju are coming right now towards this location by taking advantage of the destruction of Tempus´defenses" she said starting to walk towards both Aion and the king

"I understand both your side and my people´s side have been on a cold war and I know that both sides only need a little spark to explode a bigger war adding with the undead, Im sure there are nechromancers behind plotting, but there must be a reason for the sudden attack" she talked and took a map from her pouch

It had a detailed scenery of the country with marks of each city and village, yet the Grove was hidden because of obvious fears

"The Yaju chief Gorck is leading the army right now and he is a powerful and influential being, the drawback of him is that he despise humans and abains" the fox said with a sad tone

Facing the king, the vixen kept her speech "I understand there have been a lot of bad times in our history, but we must stop this madness before it destroys everyone, be it human, Abain, Yaju, even the undead as im sure there must be someone behind this. SO I come requesting to let me talk with my people about this, there is no need to shed more blood"
Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..

"Chronux...He sounds familiar...an abain with chronomancy? I never knew he had a student, but I suppose you became his student quite recently. You are a human aren't you? So you couldn't possibly be that old for me to have known about you. I think I studied something with him in the past, not chronomancy, I think it was related to Yajus."As she spoke, she stopped trying to remain visible, it put strain on her, mental strain not physical since she couldn't actually get tired (it actually also drains a lot more energy from the surroundings, but she does not know that), it affected her thinking. And she wanted to think clearly and also remember more at the moment, so she now flickered and seemed more ghost-like.

"He died?" She frowned, well that was one hope lost. "well, that is sad, I was hoping to find someone who had a link to the last time I was here, it could only be an Abain or a Yaju, it has been a millennium since I have been here. Don't be insulted that I am not breaking down or crying over his death or anything" She defended, as she realised how her words sounded. " I can't even remember much about him in the first place, and besides, I am extremely used to death already, I spent more than a 1000 years in Limbo didn't I? So,could you tell me what had been going on? Also do you know where the silverwood grove is? I am hoping a Yaju that knows me is still alive and that I can find him or her." She doubted he knew where it was, but maybe Chronux told him? She was just starting to remember, but she remembered the first time she met him was when she was accompanying a young dog/human yaju roam around, he had wanted to know more about Yajus and she helped him, even showing him the (previous) location of the silverwood grove.

"You don't have to worry. He was.. very old. He told me that he was 1,856 years old. At least he lived a long life and died of old age.", Azeruk said in a slightly saddened tone, but it was clear that he accepted Chronux's death as a normal part of life.

Chronux was a father to Azeruk and raised him ever since he could remember.

"I don't know where Silverwood Grove is, but Chronux had many books and maps. We could look there for answers. Just give me a moment to finish running around this lake. I have to run around it three more times before I can rest. It's something Chronux has me do.", Azeruk said as he moved his hands close to one another.

All of a sudden, a golden light formed in between Azeruk's hands. As the seconds passed by, the ball grew larger until it was the size of a dinner plate and started to form small amounts of what looked to be sand. The sand swirled around the golden ball of light as it began to emit a faint, low-pitched hum as the light grew brighter. As soon as the ball formed a second layer of sand, Azeruk clenched his fists and the light surged along his armor and body. In a single instant, Azeruk disappeared as a loud boom echoed throughout the forest. Just as suddenly as he disappeared, Azeruk reappeared in the same spot, but was breathing heavily. Azeruk had stopped time, or more accurately, sped himself up so fast that time stopped for him.

"Okay,.. now.. we can go.. inside. Just... give me one.. more.. moment. That was more tiring.. than I thought it would be.", Azeruk said as he tried to catch his breath. The large bag strapped to his back was only making it harder to breathe, so Azeruk removed it, laid it on the ground, and sat down.

"Okay...What was that light ball thing you did just now?" Another thought occured to her, "You said Chronux has you do things, how does he tell you if he is dead?"

While she waited, she knelt by the lake and coated a few of her darts in mud, just in case. Meanwhile, she considered how old Chronux was. " Huh,I still can't remember much about him, but if he was that old...wow he is even older than me. He must have been extremely powerful to have survived those centuries of Abain persecution." She cast an amused glance at the tower. "This isolated tower probably helped to, only reason I found it in the past and now is because i stumbled upon it. Come on, let's go in, I might not be able to touch living things, but your bag is not living, I will carry it for you." Having said that, she effortlessly slung the heavy bag across her shoulders and glanced into the bag and was mildly surprised to see heavy bits of metal inside, she supposed it was part of his training. She then lifted him up by grabbing on to his armor. "I just realised I have only been relying on my own observations about you without actually asking, so who are you?"

Azeruk was surprised that Amurei could lift him and his bag up with ease. Azeruk was much better rested now and began to answer Amurei's questions.

"Well, that ball of light you saw was time magic. I basically stopped time, but another way of looking at it is that I sped myself up so fast that in my perspective, the entire world stopped. The only reason I'm able to do that is because of Chronux's stone. As for him telling me what to do from beyond the grave, he left a magic parchment that is supposed to lead me to an important event. He never told me what the event was, only that I was to play an important part. He said that if he directly told me, it could ruin the timeline.", Azeruk explained.

he then thought for a moment about how to introduce himself. He never really had to introduce himself before.

"Uhh, I don't usually explain myself, so don't expect too much.", Azeruk said as he let out a slightly nervous laugh.

"My name is Azeruk and I am a Chronomage, or Chronomancer. I was born somewhere near The Land of Cinders and Ashes, in a village called Ta'kur. It was attacked by bandits and Chronux was one of the few people there to pick up the pieces. He was just a visitor, but offered to help. He found me in a burned out house with my parents missing. He eventually tracked down the bandits that took my parents, but the bandits were cannibalistic... Anyways, Chronux took me in as his own and trained me how to use time magic. He taught me in the ways of a Chronomancer and taught me alchemy and how to make automatons and explosives. When he died, he used magic to implant his time stone into my body, next to my heart.", Azeruk said as he pointed at the middle of his chest.

"It boosted my magic to incredible heights, but it can sometimes be too much to handle. I sometimes erode the room when I sleep and suffer from 'time bursts'. What else to say? I like the colors gold and black, I'm 18, and.. I really don't know what else to say. I like building things.", Azeruk said to Amurei as he shrugged.

Dalia and Kiara put two and two together relatively quick. Toran destroyed Toran? A silly play on words, yet it struck home when one detail of the incident...
                    ---------
                    Toran - Past

One moment, Dalia was robbing the people blind. The next, she was trying to save them from what seemed an apocalypse. She kept getting trapped by rubble. A friend, Terrisa, used her geomancy to help her along. Terrisa was still young, younger than Kiara by far, and yet there she was. On the brink of destruction. Dalia looked at the chaos around her. There was no hope.
                    "Terrisa! RUN!"
"But, there's still people that are trapped!"
"It's too late...If we stay any longer WE'LL be trapped!" When she said this, she remembered something someone whom she had trusted had said...
                    "Dalia! We can't just-!"
"Sorry sweety, we're in over our heads on this."
And with that Dalia grabbed Terrisa and ran.
But not before one of the buildings nearby sent rubble down upon them.
The last voice...the last time Dalia heard Terrisa...
                    -----------------------

Dalia found herself with her bow gun primed and aimed right between Toran's eyes.
"...Terrisa..." She whispered under her breath. "How many people..." Dalia's face seemed to have adopted two emotions: pure sorrow and raw anger. Yet her voice remained level. "Do you have any idea...how many..." Her control over her emotions finally snapped. "HOW MANY PEOPLE DIED?!?" Tears started to well up in her eyes as she brought her other hand to her bow gun to steady it. "...If it was you. I will do more than just kill you."

                    ---------------------
                    Tempus

"Grant you permission to go and speak with your own kind? Ha ha ha...My dear, I will do one better." The king got up and smiled at Nera. "I will personally go with you to negotiate the terms of peace."
                    "Milord! Is that truly...?!"
"I may have been poisoned, may have seen my kingdom ravaged by the undead, but I will remain strong. With strength of character, perhaps we shall win ourselves an ally!"
"Prepare the horses. This shall be the dawn...of a new age! Sir Aion! I wish to enlist your services for awhile longer, if you-"
"At this point, as long as I get paid what I asked for, I'll do this job for free."

Aetheron hid in the shadows of the woods, observing the ghost and the human. "I played the rook, now for the bishop." Suddenly he felt the disruption the human caused with his time magic. "Ah, Chronux...your training the boy..." He smiled slightly. "...Training him to be a pawn in the game. To put him through such training...you seek to have him change an event? A sacrifice to the Time Stream?" Aetheron shook his head at the thought. "Futile. Truly futile. The boy might be able to eventually utilize Time Phase, but..." Aetheron chuckled. "Ah...to tamper with time is truly a dangerous game." Aetheron then adopted a sarcastic look of despair. "O' what shall I do! Chronux has now a pawn that he could eventually play and disrupt the lethal game I play with Hyperion! What ever shall a Guardian of Time, like myself, do?" Aetheron paused. "Nothing. I shall let Chronux play his piece. But for now..." Aetheron turned his focus on the woman. "I shall make my next move in this game of fate."

                      Toran clenched his teeth.

"I... I didn't... Want........ YES, I DID!!! I DESTROYED THAT TOWN WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT!!& THEY DEFIED MY MASTER, AND SO THEY PAID WITH THEIR LIVES!!! OH, MY MASTER WAS SO PROUD OF ME, SHE ACTUALLY GAVE ME A NAME!!! I WAS HAPPIER THAN THE WORLD!!!"

Esmeralda put her hand on Toran's head. He calmed down.

"I... I couldn't help it... I wanted... To make her... I'm a monster... I destroyed a town... For the one I loved.. Was it worth it... DAMMIT WAS IT WITH IT!?"

Esmeralda summoned a gas. "It's alright... Just rest for now." It was a special gas that was toxic to normal humans, but can be used to put zombies to rest. The purpose was the latter. Esmeralda put him down safely.

"It's true. It want his desire. He merely wanted to make big sister happy. It worked, but did little to get him closer to his dream. His life is quite sad, honestly. And... Right now, his stability is getting weaker. It's been weakening since that night..."

It was the dead of night in the religious city of Toran. Some were awake, many asleep. But on the edge of the town, a zombie stood.

"This will be my chance. My big chance to show the master what I'm truly capable of. I'm sorry, Toran. But you dared to defy master, and now you shall pay your toll."

He put hood hands on the ground. Suddenly, many, many stone golems appeared. "Go, my golems... Prepare the ritual!"

The stone golems then surrounded the town. They began moving towards the center, destroying everything in their paths, from lamp posts to houses. They would not stop for anything. The nameless zombie made his way to the center himself. As for the golems, many magic users tried to stop them, but there were simply too much. By the time they reached the center, twenty still stood. The nameless zombie instantly counted the golems.

"Twenty, huh? I only need ten. Now them... Start the ritual!!!"

The golems got in a circle. They raised their hands. Then, they bowed down. And then the entire city shook.

                      "Yes... Yes... YES!! ALMOST TIME!!!"

One by one, magic users tried to destroy the golems, but it was too late. There were eleven when the ritual was finished.

                      "YES!!! YES!!! IT'S FINALLY COMPLETE!!!"

He clasped his hands together. "FORBIDDEN ART: SUMMONING OF THE HAND OF THE IRON GEEDO!!!"

The entire town shook. All of a sudden, a giant hand slowly rose from the ground. It was skinny and bony. Then, the hand began destroying the entire town. It tore away at the houses and summoned many stone spikes with every time it slammed is hand on the ground.

Before long, the town was reduced to nothing.

"And that it's how Toran got his name," Esmeralda concluded.

Nera was surprised with the King´s easy acceptance, but she was more worried with the fact that he wanted to meet Gorck

"I understand and feel grateful that you want to meet the chief personally, but you will have to follow my words when we get close to both the rhinoceros and the army, He barely trust his own kin, but humans and abains? He would enjoy killing you the mement you do a bad move" she warned

Coughing a bit more of the venom out of her system, the fox explained "Gorck follows the idea of using brute force and domination as a conqueror, that is one of the reasons that my people are looked like merely beasts, his animal side is stronger than the human side by far, and being a rhinoceros is a danger even to his own allies thanks to his bad temper"

Looking now to the king´s eyes, the vixen finished "Im trying to stop this war by a peaceful way, but know that Im technically betraying my own people as im possibly the only Yaju doing this idea. Gorck may be the chief, but he is no leader, he is a hotheaded being who got that rank by using muscles and fear on the others. So if you speak to him, be calm and don´t let him get into your mind, I will deal with him if things go bad"

I would assume if he uses brute strength then...he could easily be outwitted." Then, Aion turned to the King. "If...his people follow him out of fear, we just have to give them a way out..."

                          Land of Cinders and Ashes

Dalia was shaking uncontrollably. The destruction....the deaths....Terrisa...............
"...All...because..." Dalia lowered her bow gun slightly. "...just....because..." A look of utter astonishment was plastered on her face. "...because..." Then resolution took the forefront of her emotions. Resolution and vengeance. She quickly composed herself and drew her sword and held it against Toran's chest with the bowgun in her other hand, transfixed on his head. "...I've seen some sick bastards in my life...but to destroy a town....to destroy lives...just to please some b*tch?!"

                          ----------------------
                          Toran - Past

"That's when I wished I was a geomancer. I dug in vain to try and save Terrisa. My own wounds, my own spilt blood...meant nothing. I was prepared to die then and there. I was ready to sacrifice my own life for Terrisa. She was young...She had so much yet to live for. I dug desperately, but for every stone, there was another. Terrisa saved me from rubble like this. She had the ability to...geomancy allowed her to. I dug...strength leaving me with every drop of blood, with every new cut from the rubble. That's when I wished. That's when I prayed. I prayed for someone to come save her. I felt weak. I felt powerless. I felt like I was a mother who couldn't save her own child. Terrisa...my closest friend. Innocent yet strong willed. She deserved more. Why did she have to find me? Why did she have to reach out and help a nobody like me? A thief? Someone who had been betrayed and had to resort to the life of a rogue in order to survive?"

                          ------------------

"I will do more than just kill you. I will end your existence. First, you will answer for the pain you have caused. You think your life is miserable? Filled with pain? No, you don't know pain. You don't know the definition of pain."
Then she turned away, but not before giving him a swift kick while he was down from the gas Esmerelda used on him.

Esmeralda put her hand on Dalia's shoulder.

"You should get rested as well."

She summoned a sleeping gas for humans. She put the gas towards her face and put her to sleep. She faced Kiara.

"You. I'm going to tell you something, but only because you have no malicious intentions towards Toran. Don't dare tell this woman. If you do, I will hunt both you and her down. I cannot risk putting his life in danger. See... This woman lost her best friend as far as I can tell... But tell me... Was her loss... Was it worse than his!?!?! Listen closely, I'm only saying this once."

A man walked into his house with food in hand.

"Honey, I'm home. How was work?"

No response. The man walked into the bedroom. All of sudden, the door closed behind him. A man stood there. Then, he saw everything. His brother, his sister, his parents... And his pregnant wife, almost due. They were all tied up. A man with a knife was pacing behind them.

"Ah, so glad you joined us tonight. We were just taking about you."

The husband dropped his groceries. "What is this? What's goi-"

Then the guy behind him hit him on the back of the neck. He fell and was immediately tied up.

"You're probably wondering why we're here. I'll cut to the chase... Give it to me." He held the knife to the parents.

"What are you doing? Stop this!"

The man held his hand out. "An arcane stone. Give yours to me and no one gets hurt... Too bad, that is."

The husband shook his head. "... No, I don't have one."

The man cocked his head. "No? In the town where everyone has one? Too bad."

He stabbed both parents. The husband looked on in horror. "NO!!!"

"Where is it?! I know you have one!"

The husband tried to break free, but it was no use. "I'm telling you I don't have one, you fucking psycho!!!"

The man put the knife to the husbands siblings. "Yea? Then fucking get one!!!"

He put the point to the siblings' heads. The husband tried to stand, but the man behind him kept him down. "No, stop!!!!!"

The man stabbed at both. He walked to the wife.

"Last chance! Either get us one right now or the woman and your child gets it!!!"

The husband was desperate. "Fine, I'll steal one just please-"

But then he looked into his wife's eyes. She didn't want him to. If he did, someone else would suffer the same fate.

"... No... No, I won't be a part of your bullshit!!!"

                            "Really? What a fucking shame!!!"

                            "NOOOO!!!!!"

The man thrusted his knife in. Everyone was dead. The husband was looking on in horror. Then... In rage.

                            "... You... BASTARD!!!!!"

The man behind him tried to hold him down, but failed. The husband stood up and used the ropes on his wrists to choke the man behind him. He was so rage induced, he ended up crushing his windpipe. But then the man with the gun roundhouse kicked the husband on the head, knocking him down and immediately put the knife to his head.

"What?! You thought you were the hero?! That you would kill me and everything will be alright, well you're fucking wrong!!! Any last words, you soon of a bitch?!"

The husband stopped. He took a deep breath... And accepted fate.

"... Yea... I do... I may not be a hero... But ya know what?...... I just saved a family from your mutany."

The knife was thrusted. The husband fell to the ground. Dead.

"Now you know. That day, he lost his entire family along with his own life, but to save another family from suffering the same way that he did that day. And I, too. Listen."

As the man walked out, he was greeted by a woman. He admired her beauty.

"Hey there, lass. How's it going?"

She walked up to him. "Oh, nothing... How's it going on your end?"

"Nothing mu-... Hey... Hey, what the fuck?"

He couldn't move. "I seeped a gas into your system. It paralyzes you. I'm a wind mage... And I saw everything."

The man began freaking out. "H-h-hey, let's not take it to extremes!"

Suddenly, he was choking. "Yea? Should've thought of that before you made him suffer. Now, you suffer... Slowly."

He couldn't breath. He was losing air. At last, he suffocated to death. She was none other than Esmeralda. She went into the house and saw the husband.

"... You were a good man... You... You deserve better."

"That's when I took him to Dorothy. She gave him intelligence, but I erased his memory. I cannot let him know what happened. And now that I've told you, I must keep an eye on you. That husband back then is today's Toran. We're both traveling with you."

                            She walked over to Toran.

"By the way, you want to know what a real monster is? Take a good look. You're looking at her."

                            She woke up Toran.

                            "Eh? What happened?"

                            "Nothing, Toran, dearest."

But there was something she knew. Something no one on the world should know.

His child is still alive somewhere.

"Don´t understimate him, what I mean with fear is that even with a look of a thick headed brute, he has a brain, and a vicious one. Gorck uses words and influence to beat his enemies, if that doesn´t work, then he uses his strength" Nera said looking at Aion

"So when do we get to meet your people´s chief?" The king asked

The fox thought about it and looked to a window, the city was safe from the undead´s assault, but the main defences were damaged a lot. She then faced the king

"The sooner we go towards his location, the longer the time the city will have to escape from the possible Yaju attack, the only good thing I hope Gorck will let is that the civilians will be safe, even he doesn´t have the evilness to kill an inocent" Nera said preparing her bottles of water and tightening her armor srtaps

"Just give the signal and I´ll lead you to him"

"A magic piece of paper... How could he have done that? I was never one for all these magic and stuff. Too imprecise, I prefer science, the study of living things in particular, biology if you will. Of course being in my current state makes studying living things a bit harder. But I can still manage it, after all I helped create the Yajus-" She stopped speaking as she felt a weird feeling.

Her senses were much more sensitive than a normal human and she felt like someone or something was focusing on her. Of course it could be an animal, but animals usually ignored her due to her not affecting them at all and besides an animal's focus would be so insignificant her senses probably wouldn't pick up on it. She glanced around uneasily, then shook her head to dispel the feeling, it was probably just a large predator that was curious about her flickering.

"Anyway, let's go inside. So what have you built?" She continued making small talk distractedly. But even as she tried to act unconcerned, she still felt uneasy, her instincts usually served her well, and this time it was screaming at her to get the hell out of there. She subconsciously tried to hide and her form became slightly more transparent and the air around her grew slightly colder as well.
