Which of the five Psychic Pokemon listed below is currently on the highest tier in competitive play?

1. Gardevoir

4. Alakazam

I think that would be Reinculus, I have him on one of my OU teams. Possibly Gothitelle though, I'm not the master of every pokemon on every tier.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Good morning. The answer was Alakazam.

Gardevoir is a really good Pokemon. However, her 95 speed can't catch up to other Psychic types like Alakazam with 120 base speed and Espeon with 110 base speed.

However, with the recent Type change making her Psychic / Fairy, Gardevoir might be able toa see some light in higher tiers.

Gothitelle is more of a Special wall than anything, and can't get the job done in that aspect. With only 110 Special Defense, she falls behind to a Tentacruel. Shadow Tag is a great ability however.

Reunclus is like a nerfed down version of Alakazam. 120 base special attack, but nothing else. Trick Room and all that is fine, but you can just have other teammates learn it.

Girafa... Get out of here.

Alakazam is currently the king of Psychics. His stats are insane. 135 Special Attack and 120 Speed allows him to make a hit and get away with it. The disappointing part is that since Gen 4, Fire/Ice/Thunderpunch became physical, preventing Alakazam to exploit them for type coverage.

Went and checked after you said that, and technically, Reunculus ties with Alakazam. They are both in OU.

That, and the fact that Reunculus has Regenerator and is far more bulky than Alakazam ever will.
