"What's going on?" Another Rocket grunt appeared.
"Ah, help us! We're trying to retrieve the secret document!" The tall grunt pleaded.
"Very well!" The middle grunt nodded and summoned a bat Pokemon: Zubat.
Zubat - Lv: 6
"You can't win a 1 vs 3, kid!" The short grunt cheered. "Go, counterattack!"
Rattata, Spearow, and Zubat began rushing towards Diggy. Surely he cannot survive-
"Aqua, use Water Gun."
A sea horse Pokemon with blue horns, Horsea, blasted Zubat away with a blast od water, opening up a path for Diggy to escape. The trainer who unleashed the Horsea was wearing what looked like a feathery mask of a black bird and a white 18th century noble suit.
"I hardly think this is fair." The mysterious man smiled as he brought his elaborate cane out. "You look like you could need my help, girl."
"Who the heck are you?" The tall grunt asked.
"You do not need to know."

"Tenshi, use Rollout and roll around him!" Koishi said. Tenshi rolled itself into a ball and then started rolling around the Machoke at high speeds, eventually becoming a blur of rock colored motion. Snow was almost mesmerized by the show of speed, but snapped herself out of it.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Lyrica sighed a breath of relief when the man came. She quickly nodded her gratitude for the save and then turned back to the grunts. "Well, I thought you lot couldn't stoop any lower! First you harass a little girl, then it takes two of you to try to take me on and now your so desperate to try to beat me, you bring in a third! "We are the elite!" Please...you're nothing but a bunch of bullies that think you're tough. I call your bluff! Oh! Oh! Let me guess: now because there's two of us, you're gonna chicken out and call some more of your chicken friends?? Ha! If you're so "elite" then lets see you handle me one-on-one! C'mon! Or are ya scared you'll lose to a girl?" A devilish smile creeped across her face.
"If I can get them riled up enough to have them fight me and this mysterious man in one-on-one battles...then we can easily pick them off. Let's see if I stung their pride enough to do so..."

"Uoooooh!" Machoke gathered energy around him to focus. He then grabbed Tenshi and tossed him back to Koishi.
"Feel my Seismic Toss, blockhead!"
Hoenn Region - Petalburg City
Petalburg Gym was a large building that was built in the northern side of the city when the city was first erected. The building didn't have anything fancy; but the aura of the building was almost regal.
"It almost seems too..." Yuuka muttered in awe.
"Otherworldly?" Lilac continued.
"Yeah." Yuuka smiled. She was never this nervous. "Chung, you ready?"

"Aye!" The other two grunts nodded.
"Better win, darling." The masked man smiled at Lyrica as he summoned a Pokemon that resembled a Pokeball with eyes attached to it.

Chung looked at the building. His jaw dropped the second he spotted it.
The building truly did feel otherworldly, despite looking like any other building out there.
"Y-Yea... but aren't these Gyms supposed to be filled with people with really strong Pokemon? I mean that's what I heard from the nurse in Pokemon Center back at Oldale Town." He said in a somewhat nervous, yet excited tone.
Sandbite was remaining quiet however as he looked at the building.
"I hope I can also get a bag here..."

The interior of the gym looked like the old Japanese dojo, with wooden tatami floor and sliding doors. On the opposite side of the first room, there were two sliding doors of different color and a message on each of them. In front of the opposite wall sat a middle-aged man wearing a red sweater and a plain gray pants.
"Welcome to Petalburg Gym." The man stood up. "I'm the leader Norman. May I help you?"
"Yes, I heard from Professor Birch that you can teach people how to catch Pokemon?" Yuuka handed a letter to Norman, who skimmed through the paper and nodded.
"Alright. I'll give you two a private lesson right now."

Koishi moved out of the way as Tenshi was thrown, but it caught itself, and wasn't prone to giving up so easily.
"Harden!" Koishi said, Tenshi hardening his rocky shell even more.

Chung was a bit surprised at how beautiful the interior of the gym looked. It was surprisingly calming, yet had a large sense of seriousness. Like this place was truly a place of battle.
Rather than doing the talking himself he saw that Yuuka was handling it quite well.
So he waited patiently for the lesson to begin.

"Bingo." Koishi quietly said to herself. "Tenshi, tackle the rock the Machoke is standing on, then Rollout away!" Koishi said.
Tenshi backed up a few steps, then flung itself towards the side of Machoke, tackle through and breaking the rock, then rolling out of the way of a blow with Rollout.
