The counterattack was fierce.

Geodude set up Stealth Rocks, making movement difficult, while Onix Cursed the ground around, him, increasing his already high defense and attack in exchange for speed. The water gun struck, but did not do as much damage as one would like.

The mysterious Cranidos was doing even better. Not bothered by the sharp rocks that would otherwise dig into his foot, he bashed into Wiggly with a Headbutt, crunching through the hard shell like it's paper.

The combee flew higher and went for a barrage of gust attacks as a distraction so she could fly below the wind to go for a bug bite attack towards the geodude

The headbutt made a dent in Wiggly's shell, knocking it back a little. A burst of water jetted out from inside the shell, going towards the Carnidos at almost point blank range.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

John saw that the Onyx increased its defense and and attack power, so he had to prepare Astron for a possible attack from the giant rock-snake. If Astron wasn't prepared, then he would take extensive damage.

"Astron, use Harden.", John called out.

"Geodude, continue setting up. That Bug Bite won't even faze you!"

And it didn't. Geodude's rocky skin degraded Diana's attack to nothing more than a mere pinch. In exchange, Geodude set up Rock Polish, speeding him up until he was on par to the speed of the likes of Wiggly and Astron, but not fast enough yet to catch up to Diana.

Astron's Harden seemed to work wonder until Onix decided to use his turn for Rock Polish as well. Now, whatever Astron had in advntage of speed was diminished.

Struck by a blast of water, Cranidos slid backwards. Catching his breath and focusing his resolve, he gained increased critical chance.

John lightly frowned at the Onyx, but at least it wasn't attacking. With that in mind, John called out another move.

"Astron, use Water Gun.", John said to Astron.

Diana noticed that the geodude was getting faster so she decided to make him receive more hits

Renamon noticed the same thing "Diana use sweet scent again, but also use fust to scatter it on the three of them" she said

The combee smirked while releasing the spores and just after they were falling, she sent a barrage of gust towards the trio of targets focusing more on the geodude

"Withdraw." Koishi said, formulating a plan in her mind. If it worked, it might just be one less pokemon to deal with.

The mighty stone snake, unable to shake off the blasting stream of water, slithered back into Roark's Pokeball.

Similar fate fell to Geodude. The rising wind, accentuated by the Sweet Scent, struck Geodude head on. Even though Rock types resist Flying type, the wind was enough to take down the Geodude.

"No way." Roark refocused his resolution. His Cranidos was still wrecking house as his Headbutt detoured his target from hardened Wiggly to fragile Diana, striking her dead on and sending her tumbling into the air.

Critical Hit!

Seeing that Renamon's pokemon was injured, John quickly switched his focus to the remaining opponent and called out a move to Astron.

"Astron, use Water Gun.", John said to Astron.
