"Thank you." Nitori coughed. The burning feeling was starting to disappear, and she took a large swig of water from the canteen.
"Wow, that hurt." Nitori gave Yuugi back her canteen. "Let's try not to do that again."
She laughed nervously. "If we're all here, does that mean we can go away from this place?"

"Koishi." Satori said as she looked at her sister. "I haven't seen you in a while, where have you been?"
She looked at everyone around her.
"Shall we go?"
She looked at Yuugi. "You say not to be pessimistic, but how can I not be pessimistic when everyone is afraid of me? I have Koishi, Okuu, Orin and my other pets but almost everyone else is either scared or hates me."

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Nitori let her thoughts drift. "I don't know much about the underground. Maybe it would be a good idea to look around a bit - even if there is nothing of value here. It might come in handy sometimes."
She looked up at the blonde oni. "Well, you have any interesting things here in the underground?"

She looked backwards. "Okuu, do you want to come for tea too?"
She looked back at Yuugi. "I do consider you to be something like a friend, but it's just the general reaction I get when people see me. That alone can make you depressive."

Utsuho knew that she would need to return later, but a little break couldn't hurt. If anything, it would also allow her a chance to hear Koishi's stories. Due to her job, Utsuho never really got much time to herself. Because of this, she very, very rarely left to the surface, and was curious about it.
"Coming.", Utsuho said to Satori as she flew down and landed next to her.

As soon as she heard that they were going, Nitori bolted towards the exit.
The sooner she got out of the heat, the better.
She let out a sigh when the heat started to disappear. She stopped, and waited for the rest to catch up.
"Phew. I never thought this place would be this hot."
She wiped the sweat from her brow.
"That sure is a difference with our hot springs."

Patchouli had to struggle to keep her emotions in check around these two, the miko and the thief. She wanted to berate them, and she figured that was the immaturity of the tiniest bit of her human side talking, but she was better than that. She had transcended and became a magician, and she was a keeper of intellect, not some hot-headed human. With a sigh, she nodded and fingered the hem of her robes for any cuts by the glass.
"I'll have you know that I have no knowledge of dragons in Gensokyo. The only 'dragon' that I know of is Hong Meiling, if not for the many shared motifs with them." She stared down at the ground and the glass scattered about. Her eyes drifted to a small pool of blood near a bookshelf. "I feel a desire to assist in some way," she said, choosing not to explain the blood to the miko and thief. "Should you find your knowledge lacking for the task at hand, perhaps I could be of assistance."

Byakuren listened to Nue and ate at a quiet, slow pace. There was some wisdom to her words, but Byakuren couldn't help but feel that her desire for the truth had gone unsated. She tapped her chin and pondered for a moment.
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us..." Byakuren closed her eyes and smiled again, thankful for Nue's explanation. "I am still a human at heart, Nue. I have a strong desire to leave something behind in this world before I pass on."

Nitori took a water canteen out of her backpack. "Being a kappa has its downsides though. I guess a weakness to extreme heat is one of them."
She drank from the water before looking at Yuugi. "But weaknesses are there so life doesn't become boring right? Then I think I can remove one other weakness of my list! Temporarily at least."
