"Got it.", Ethan whispered to the operator before looking over to Nitro.

"Nitro, I want you to take my phone and stay on the line with the operator. I'll peek from under the table to report anything new. I'll then tell you and you relay it to the operator, okay?", Ethan asked Nitro as he handed his phone to her.

"Alright." Nitro retrieved Ethan's phone and, before staying on the line, commented: "Cool phone."

There was another commotion going on outside the table. As the time ticked by, with only 15 minutes remaining until the bomb blows up, a partygoer began having a panic attack and started fidgeting around. A few seconds later, he screamed out unintelligent gibberish as he made a mad dash towards the exit, only to be stopped by a gunshot from a Corrupt grunt unit standing near the exit, crippling him as it hit his right knee.

"That's what you get." The Corrupt grunt growled cynically, as the crowd dispersed into more panic and chaos, only to be silenced by several more gunshots to the ceiling.

"'ey." A Corrupt goon patrolling around the club found Soane with her head down on the table. Such arrogance, to be sleeping while the club was about to blow up. The goon pointed his pistol: a simple Glock 19, at Soane's head point blank. "'ey I recommend you wake the fuck up right now, or you get a bullet in your head."

"Well, I don't know if this counts or not," Alex reminisced. "But when I went to a hunting trip with my friend Nitro, I shot a sparrow flying through the sky with a handgun."

Heading to the city, Lynchwood thought about the request she received by who supposedly was one of the higher ups in the DCERT chain ("If the guys in the main base are calling for help, then it must be serious"), it wasnīt unheard of that DCERT asked for outside help, things like pride and superiority led to worse failures, but by doing such thing, things could go to the worse end of the line for the contracted party ("They canīt hide the fact that there are things that could put them on jail")

The blonde ignored a salesman as she ate an apple from her bag, she couldnīt relax at all until she was in her safe home, only there the statue of personality of hers could finally get loose, but in the meantime, the specialist kept her senses alerted for anything.

"Guess that'll do. Listen. We are going to take these guys out, but we aren't going to obviously rush in guns blazing right? We have to come up with a solid strategy. Perhaps if we go back stage, we can then make our way to the 2nd floor. From their we should have a decent advantage of sight. We can take anyone on the second floor out stealthily, then from their we can carefully pick off any of the men on the ground floor." Drake replied as he hid the magum away in his coat, and taking out the normal handgun.

"So if we are sticking with that plan. How would you go about it?"

Just as Ethan looked out from under the table, a man made a sprint for the door, only to be shot in the knee. Ethan's brow tensed up as he remained still, although he was tempted to emerge from the table and fight. He could easily get to the bar without being noticed If he had his phone, but for now, he had to wait. After a second, Ethan looked over to Nitro and spoke.

"One of the people ran for the door but was shot in the knee.", Ethan said.

Soane sighed internally. She hated the cocky ones. A quick, seamless motion occurred, happening within a second. Soane moved her legs, causing the man to trip. However, before he could make a sound or reach the grounds, she swivelled, a kukri going for the man's head. It entered and gutted the brain cleanly, before the body landed on the ground near soundlessly soon after due to the padded floor.

Soane then got low to the ground, picking up the weapon and a clip from the body and storing them in one of her side pockets. Possible distraction material was always good. Now all she needed was someone to be that distraction if she was to pick them off.

One down, though. Good enough start.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

"Well, we need a way to distract those on the second floor." Alex observed. "But before that, I'm worried about my friends; knowing my friend, she'll come up with the details of your plan better than I, and... well... her new employee should be competent enough to execute it out."

Alex looked towards the table where she, Nitro, and Ethan was sitting on before the shooting and found no one there. The food that was ordered for them were in disarray, including their drinks. This was unnerving for Alex: since it could've either meant that the two were at the dance floor being watched by the Corrupts, or was captured and shot somewhere away from the crowd: the mess at the table a sign of their struggle.

"We need more people. I think we should check on them first."

While waiting for the time to flow, Sara decided to go to a library, some of the things that never changed with time were books, and even though there was a war with corruption, the people at least had the intelligence to know that literature was important for the people no matter what faction they were. She wouldnīt be surprised to find people of both factions being here just for the sake of reading.

The blonde didnīt have problem to find a place to read a book about history of Europe, she always wanted to know more about the world, and an interesting part was about their roots.

Looking at the Dance Area trying to spot Alex's friends, Drake let out a small sigh.

"Very well. But one problem. Where are they, and how do you think we will be able to get to them without getting spotted? Unless you want one of us to create a distraction while the other searches for them, I don't think we'd be able to do anything. So why don't you tell me what we should do. If you want to go for the create a distraction route, I'd be willing to oblige. I've dealt with somewhat similar situations before, so I should be able to buy you some time with a good distraction." Drake replied as he holstered all his weapons, cracking his knuckles and neck as he got ready for whatever Alex decides on doing.

Austin had vented his anger at this point and got a new phone to replace his broken one. He decided to go to the library. He figured some literature should do him some good. He grabbed three books. A book called Amped, another called Hatchet and one more named The Cat in the Hat. As he was walking around, he spotted Sara in the Geography aisle. He figured small talk can do him good as well. Before he did, he did a corruption level check. His was a stolen one, which he implants into the screen of a cheap cellphone. His level was flickering between 33 and 34. Good enough. He walked up to her.

"All these lands and unfortunately none safer than here, huh?" He started.

Sara was focused on her book when she heard someone, looking up, she noticed a man with some books and speaking about the safety of a place like a library "Indeed it is, no mater if you are from the military, a rebel, or corrupt. We humans have the common sense to keep the normality, even more by protecting places that are for everyone" She commented calmly.

The blonde though, was careful with the person, it was in her nature to be wary of everything, but again, this was a neutral haven "Besides, the ones who decide to destroy such places would become the worst. This is a tough time, but at least we have the intelligence to preserve what matters"

"I agree," Austin said. "The only sign of destruction is on the poor sap who decides to disrupt the peace. I saw that happen before. Everyone, the corrupt, DCERT, everyone, beating on this one guy who came to the wrong place to do the wrong thing, hehe. Heck, I was a part of it. I'm Austin." He introduced. "I had a rough time earlier, so I decided to come down here to cool my corruption level. I don't want to get jumped in the middle of meditation, wouldn't you agree?"

"Sara" the specialist only said as a greeting, but commented on the last thing he said "Then I suggest you to not disturb the people of this place, either you are a DCERT, Corrupt, or civilian, we all have to face the consequences". Sara kept reading her book without looking at Austin ("I hope this place doesnīt becomes another bloodshed") she thought with a sigh "The only thing that worries me is that the side that manages to have less casualties will have the power get to their heads and do a big mistake"

I could never forgive the man who killed them. But I couldn't do anything. So many people have tried... Oh, listen to me rabble on.
