You know I wonder what John would think of Classic Vergil. John uses guns, and Vergil prefers not to use guns as he considers firearms "Unworthy of a true warrior"

Do you really think I'm that stupid? *Walks into a door* Okay maybe I am that stupid...

@Mega

"I'm not a warrior, I'm a soldier." (Quotable Dialogue.:p <---Guess the reference.)

In this RP, he would probably then turn around and use light and dark magic, as if to say, "Happy now?"

His magic is actually stronger than his guns.:p

@S121

Lol, and I can't figure out the reference. Anyways I was thinking of what kind of Devil Arms the other characters would get.
Devil Arms are demonic, living weapons that are commonly the manifestation of a defeated Demon's soul or power. In the Devil May Cry series, Devil Arms are considered to be the characters' most powerful weapons. When wielded, Devil Arms often convey their power to the wielder, provided they have been subdued first. For example in Devil May Cry 3 when Dante defeated Cerberus, Cerberus surrendered his power and became a weapon for Dante, the weapon was a ice elemental tripartite nunchaku that could stretch to incredible lengths. In Devil May Cry 1 Dante had to survive a Devil Arms attempt to kill him. When Dante survived the fiery gauntlets Ifrit's attempt to rip Dante apart Dante gained the gauntlets for his own personal use. Currently Dante has all the Devil arms from the Devil May Cry 1, 3, and 4 in his office, but they are all inactive and dormant.

Quotable dialogue is a line of dialogue that just gives that "hell yea" vibe, otherwise known as mildly badass. It's from Danbourou. (I think that's how you spell it.)

Komachi would most likely get a scythe.:p

What other characters were you going to give Devil Arms to?

Well there is a scythe Devil Arm named Nevan which is a guitar that unfolds into a scythe and can summon swarms of demonic bats as well as volts of purple lightning.

It also depends on who wants a Devil Arm. I know a perfect one for John named the Pandora which is a briefcase like device that can transform into 666 different and devastating forms.
Not all the forms are shown in Devil May Cry 4 but here is a video of them.

I'll post their names later.

I think it's a fitting weapon for John and whenever he does get it, it will serve as a reliable weapon. Also when Pandora is opened it damages all enemies in a flash of violated taboo. (In other words really freaking powerful surge of energy.)

The forms:
PF013: Epidemic:
Pandora transforms into a powerful bowgun that fires ravaging projectiles

PF124: Hatred:
Basically a triple Rocket Launcher

PF398: Revenge:
Pandora transforms into a powerful cannon that fires searing blasts of energy at opponents.

PF262: Jealousy:
Pandora transforms into a Gatling gun to rain down a hail of hot lead upon opponents.

PF594: Argument:
Pandora transforms into a mobile missile battery that fires a barrage of homing missiles.

PF422: Grief:
Transform Pandora into a boomerang and use it to slice through enemies.

PF666: Omen: Open Pandora to damage all surrounding enemies with the flash of a violated taboo.

Pandora uses something called the Disaster Gauge which is filled upon successful attacks with Epidemic, Hatred, Revenge, and Jealousy.

Argument, Grief, and Omen all use energy from the Disaster Gauge. Omen uses up all Disaster energy meaning Pandora has to be at max power to use. Argument just has to have half of the Disaster gauge to be used, but is more powerful if the gauge is full.
Grief uses up 25% of the Disaster Gauge I think.

@Mega

I would imagine that John would only use it in dire circumstances. It is a very cool item. It would remove the need for some of his weapons too, freeing up space and weight.

I imagine it as a sort of powerhouse weapon that would only be used against bosses. I was originally wanting John to get it before the Devourer Arc, but sadly he was unable to.
