@SUSTIC

What are the sidequests? What's the end result?

Oh S1, always wanting to know everything. Can't you learn to be a little patient?

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Well it's more like a optional side story than a chain of quests. It involved the NPC Glaive the administrator of Henir's Time and Space.

I already explained about a little plan that involved him in the past somewhere in the ooc. Basically he would be a way to allow our characters to train by having Glaive send them to Henir's Time and Space. A place outside of space and time where our characters will be forced to fight notable villains from their past in an attempt to train them. Of course Henir would have modified these "memories" of past villains and opponents to make the fights more difficult. It will basically function just like it does in the game.

There will be breaks for our characters every now and then so they can rest up and all. Because of the place being outside space and time during these breaks our characters injuries will be healed, ammo restored, gear repaired, and even enhanced temporarily if they performed well. If any of the participants get to their breaking point and won't be able to fight anymore, surrender, or just flat out want to stop then Glaive will take them out of Henir's Time and Space and give them a little reward. The farther they get into Henir's Time and Space the greater the reward.

Glaive could be introduced when the new characters (and even some of the old ones) require new training to become stronger for their next mission or whatever. Raven would be the one to most likely help everyone find Glaive as Raven is familiar with the more popular locations that Glaive "hangs out" at. These locations are in secret locations hidden out of sight in each major city in the RP. Since Glaive can control time and space he can pretty much be at almost any of his popular locations in what appears to be an instant.

This is just a little something for everyone. I have an actual story arc planned for the sequel that does involve Ran as the main villain.

I think Glaive needs an actual Glaive.

@Mima

It's that drive to know everything that keeps me sharp and one step ahead of most people.:p

I suppose I can come across as impatient, but it's simply me trying to figure everything out and come up with various scenarios that could be in the RP.

Or Glaive can use those chains on his neck as weapons. Just lengthen them a bit, modify the tips, and you've got yourself a weapon.:p

Yea... I don't think Glaive is the kind of guy that would fight. Either way he has a better weapon than either of those... those little blue cubes in his hands! Throw them at people and run like freaking hell!!!

Now the rewards would be relatively nice. As he would give the participants a choice between what they want. Enhancements to their gear, or something else just as special...

@SUSTIC

What kind of weapons are the cubes?

Can I ask what the special reward is?:p

There not really weapons at all. In fact Glaive is just a NPC that is there to obtain rewards from Henir's Time and Space (though it is stated that Glaive does run Henir's Time and Space.) The cubes I believe have some sort of special purpose, but I have no clue what they are. Glaive is shown to juggle them in a single hand much like a person would do with some dice. Glaive is surrounded by mystery when it comes to his background. So I can't really give much info about him except that he is mysterious, and he runs Henir's Time and Space.

As for the special rewards... mostly secret for now

@SUSTIC

Stasis Cubes.

They can freeze people and make them so slow that they'd might as well not be moving at all.

It's either that, or Repulsion Cubes that create a shockwave that knocks everyone away from him.

I get too into this kind of stuff.:p

For me they are either parts of Henir's Time and Space, in the resting levels I remember seeing bigger cubes floating around

Have you ever crossed the line between sanity and madness? You would be amazed by what lies beyond the fog..
