Near Escape Pod - Hakurei Shrine - Gensokyo
As soon as Daiyousei told John to Armorlock, a sinking feeling swept over John. Because of the fact that he didn't have his helmet, his armor couldn't create shields. The helmet was the control center for the entire armor.
Thinking quickly, John instead created a dual-layered shield that conformed to his body, just like an energy shield.
(Please work...), John thought as the giant laser enveloped John and HM.

HM looked on awe, but then, lust intervened and took the shot.
"HM... You need to go..."
"Don't you dare intervene-"
"Not your choice... Master... Told you to.."
Then, Sebastian suddenly appeared.
"Come on. You've much to do, and too much time to set up."
"No! Don't interfere!"
"Sorry, milord, but I cannot allow this."
Then, Sebastian lifted HM by the arm and ripped off the one John was holding on to. HM screamed in pain.
"Now then... Let's go."
"HM... You need to go..."

Then, Sebastian suddenly appeared.

Sebastian released HM.
"Gluttony!!!"
The hell hound jumped up and grabbed HM in it's teeth and took off towards the hell of blazing fires.
"Wrath, the golem!"
Then, a buff... Rather hairy man jumped up and smashed the golems arm with tremendous strength.
"Gluttony!!!"

"Wrath, the manifestation of anger?" Daiyousei flew away from the Golem. The Golem crumbled and fell into ruin. "What, is that person able to summon the seven deadly sins?"
"Nature Sign - Gale Force."
A strong gale blew through the hell of blazing fire, cutting the fire away.
"You can't escape!" She began to give chase to the Gluttony.

Seeing the situation before him, John sprinted back into the Escape Pod, grabbed his helmet, wiped the blood out of his eyes, and put the helmet on. As soon as the helmet locked in place, John activated his thrusters and flew after Daiyousei and HM...
Hell of Blazing Fires - Gensokyo
After a long flight, John eventually caught up and flew next to Daiyousei.
"Here's a boost. We need to stop that dog. Got any ideas?", John asked Daiyousei as he grabbed her hand and set his thrusters to full power while augmenting his speed with Darkness.
John and Daiyousei were now quickly catching up to Gluttony.

"They might not be be able to catch a hell hound..." came a voice, The Higher Power appearing above the hell hound. "But I can."
The Higher Power pulled out a sword of a brilliant light, plunging it into the skull of the hell hound.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Seeing that the Hallhound was getting away, John let go of Daiyousei and quickly landed on the ground. This next magic ability would weaken John, but he was not alone. John smashed his fists into the ground and all of a sudden, a giant wall of Hardlight emerged from the ground, trapping the Hellhound with them. The wall of light then grew and warped until it formed a giant dome. Once John was done, he let out s long sigh as he felt the strain on his body.
"Daiyousei, go get him. I'll be there in a second.", John said to Daiyousei as he tried to recover from the strain on his body.
Right after John created the orb of Hardlight, something truly unexpected happened. The Higher Power appeared and attacked the Hellhound. Perhaps it was luck, or perhaps it was all up to chance, but either way, John was relieved.

"... That... Hurt..."
A crack could be heard, and gluttony disappeared. HM was knocked out, near dead because he was in gluttony's mouth when the higher power attacked.
