Hell of Blazing Fire

"Well if I don't get what I want, I'm not helping!", Utsuho bellowed.

Upon seeing Utsuho create a sun above her, John got mentally prepared for battle.

"And what is it that you want? Why are you angry?", John asked in a serious tone.

Hell of Blazing Fire

"I'm mad," Utsuho answered. "Because I couldn't see Cirno recently!"
"Cirno? You mean the ice fairy?" Kanako asked in disbelief as the sun crashed down onto the group. The onbashira pillar barrier fortunately stood.

Hell of Blazing Fire

As the sun came crashing down on the Onibashira pillars, John pulled out his rifle, but held it at his side.

"Don't do that! Some of us are not heat resistant!", John shouted at Utsuho.

"Leave her be, mortal." Kanako said as she placed more onbashira pillars to reinforce her weakening altar. "She is venting out her anger. Stay in the barrier until her rage subsidizes."

John reluctantly put away his rifle and waited.

Hell of Blazing Fire, Old Hell; Shiki

"Wait, Cirno? Is that why you're so worked up? Geez, I could get Komachi to get he-... where is she?"

Palace of Earth Spirits, Old Hell; Komachi

I ran back to the palace of earth spirits. There is no way I'm going up against Okuu. I saw Satori.

"Hey, miss Satori. I was going to go help them, but things got a little... out of hand. And what good am I in battle. I couldn't do much against the Higher Power."

I walked up to a dog and started petting it.

"So I'm going to stay here for the mean time!"

Desert, Australia; Snake

"Got it."

I'm not used to taking orders, but it really didn't matter.

"Oh, and don't even think about sneaking up on the vehicles. Even if you do take out the chopper, they still have night vision cameras, so they can see you probably better than you can see them."

I put away my Carl Gustav and took out an SVD with a night vision scope and a silencer.

We tried. We really did. But a snort from Sheva and chuckle from the Sniper set the powder keg on fire.
"Ahahahahahahahahahahaha-" We all laughed uncontrollably, except for confused Snake.

"You? Teach me? Nighttime combat?" I mocked Snake as Sheva snorted and the Sniper wheezed as they laughed some more. "I'm a feline, man. To be even simpler, I'M A CAT! MEOW! (Laugh) I see BETTER at night!"

"That's a real old-fashioned night vision scope." Sheva joked, putting on her night vision goggle. "Take a gander at this beaut."

"Snipers are trained to see better at night, mate." The Sniper taunted. "I can leave a hole in a rat's brain from 5 miles away, no scope."

Palace of the Earth Spirits

"I don't mind." Satori smiled. What an easygoing Shinigami. "That's Laby, a labrador. A real sweetheart, and good at mathematics too."

Hell of Blazing Fire

"Catastrophe Sign - Crematory of Chernobyl!" Utsuho declared, slamming a giant glowing plutonium residue. The barrier held.
"Explosion Sign - Mega Flare!" Utsuho declared, firing blasts of explosive fire. The barrier still held.
"How can I break that barrier!" Utsuho roared in frustration. "M... Maybe..."
Utsuho's marks on her hand: a N, started turning to a L.

"No!" Kanako shouted urgently as her hands marked N. "Divine Festival - Expanded Onbashira!"
A giant obnashira pillar, at least 10 times the size of Utsuho in diameter, slammed onto the hell raven, knocking her back all the way to the end of the Hell.

Hell of Blazing Fire - Old Hell

John looked around.

"Where is Komachi? Did she fall into the magma?"

John moved out of the way of the Onibashira pillar barrier and looked into the fiery lake below. John stood back up, then glanced over to the group.

"Did any of you see Komachi leave?"

"Wha- what are you guys doing?!"

"WHAT?! FAN OUT! THE ENEMY HAS BEEN SPOTTED!"

Wait, they now pick up sounds? That's just great. Technology enhanced and I didn't.

This is just wonderful.

"Yep. She went back to the palace." Koishi said.

"Okuu, if you want to see Cirno, I could go get her really fast!" Koishi said.

Somewhere in Nevada

"That is a foolish idea. You wouldn't comprehend the power that comes from that thing. It's dangerous, and unstable." Christoff lectured. "I will not risk you getting yourself killed, or end up like...him." Christoff said.

Another boom happened, the sky returning to normal.

"Good." The Auditor muttered to himself. "Now, to finish this petty little battle."

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.
