i think that a loaf of bread would be 1 gold coin
some robes would be from 8-12 coins
a dagger like 10 coins
and so on, the higher the rarity or material, the higher it costs

Anyways, copper and silver sounds good to me.
It allows people to get cheaper stuff without it being overpriced.
