Suggestions, fixes and imporvements for RTY

With Chisel mod added, do we have to venture out into the FAR FAR lands to find the marble and limestone to make them? Because it may seem selfish to me if I asked to restart the server simply for the chiseling blocks. And if there is an attempt to move would we have to start off very very fresh or have a world portal and move to it like what we did with 1.6 and 1.7 for the main server?

If there were a world reset, I would definitely hope for some structure/dungeon generating mods to get added. I have the power to make amazing items, but not much goal in what to use them for. (Plus I have a bored MC roommate who needs things to go HULK SMASH on other than the terrain I'm trying to pretty up. XD) Aside from the usual candidates, I think AtomicStryker's Ruins would be great, since it's supposed to have an easy system for creating ruin templates from in-game builds, and so could be used to collect community-designed structures to generate...which really could be cool even without a reset, come to that.


Alternative Suggestion on Materials; Use Minetweaker to create some kludge recipes for turning common materials into the currently unavailable decorative blocks. Like four sandstone and five bonemeal to make four limestone, and four cobble and five bonemeal to make four marble.

Done, and Done. Keep these coming and I'll keep adding them. I need to have some sort of idea on what ietms are not available at the moment. I've also added Project Red's Marble to the ore dictionary, so just use the Chisel to get a hold of it.

There seems to be a problem with potion brewing.
First, I tried making awkward potions (water bottle + nether wart), which crashed the server on the first 3 tries, but it somehow worked the 4th time.
Then, I tried using the 3 awkward potions to make potions of fire resistance (awkward potion + magma cream). The items sat there, but nothing happened. (then I just thought "fak dis shet").
If anyone could look into this, that would be very appreciated.

I already checked that, but there's no alternate recipes for the basic minecraft fire resistance potion.
And even if it were the fault of a wrong recipe, that shouldn't crash the entire server...

Sustic managed to make Fire Resistance potions before, right? I'm suspecting it might be a problem with either Forge or Cauldron.

I have a meh solution, how about the robe of the fire rat, that negates fire and lava I think.

This is also why it confused me.
Also, I forgot to mention, it's not the mod pack's fault, because I can still brew the potions in my single player world with the same mod pack.

this would be a good solution to negate fire damage, but in my case, I need a 3 minute fire resistance potion to make the Leggings of the Burning Mantle.

Then it's most likely Cauldrons fault. I've already been thinking a bit that the version we have on the server is a bit old. (It's even still being called MCPC+)

I found an interesting mod the other day that might be a lot of help. World Generation Manager is designed to allow retrogen for any mod, meaning it might offer a way to deal with missing resources from the mods that were added after the fact. I haven't looked at it in too much detail, but I think it could even be used to allow structure-adding mods, maybe.

Wow, good job on finding this. I wonder why this haven't been made sooner. I would love to add this to the server, HOWEVER, there is a few things that make me question if that will be a smart move or not. First of, the mod says that it edits Forge files. I have no idea what will happen to this on a Cauldron based server. Secondly, it's still quite young in my opinion, and I don't want to be a pessimist or anything, but I'm kind of skeptical of young mods.

Today, nuclearblt and I explored the Deep Dark.
There was a small problem though.
Every time we tried to enter one of the weird maze-like fortresses in there, the server crashed.
I'm going to check on single player if it's the mod pack or the server's fault.

You said you needed appetite, right?
Well, I found a vein of over stack of appetite ores, which I collected.
