Fandom vs. reality

Alrite, let's play a game! We state the name of a character from touhou that we would like to use, talk about their REAL personality and traits, then talk about heir FANDOM traits, and state which one's better. You can vote which one is better on someone elses post or make your own. Example:

Shikieiki Yamaxanadu
Reality: Judge of lost spirits, helps people resent before they die and are tried, lectures komachi.
Fandom: Judge of EVERYONE, judges without fair trial towards heaven, stern, lectures komachi.
I like the fandom one better. Its just more... Entertaining, i guess. Which is why I use this side of shikieiki for RP.

Reality: Just an insect Youkai that wants a little bit of respect.
Fandom: SHE HAS NO FANDOM D:

Marisa Kirisame
Canon: An ordinary magician who resolves incidents out of boredom or other selfish reasons and occasionally steals magic books from the SDM. Acquainted with Alice and Patchouli, friends with Reimu.
Fandom: Steals anything and everything not nailed, welded, bolted, fused, or sealed to the floor (and even that fails). Involved in a complex relationship with Alice and Patchouli. Resolves every situation with a MASTER SPARK!!!

The fandom version is more entertaining, but the canon feels more realistic. I can't pick a favorite.

Fanon: Masochistic celestial who is said to in an S/M relationship with Yuuka.

Reimu Hakurei

Fanon: Goes around beating up random people until incident is resolved, and is poor. Too many different depictions of her to say anything else.
Canon: Not as poor, but still beats people up.

Canon: Goddess of Fallen Leaves, Older sister of Minoriko Aki.

She is also friend with Rinnosuke, Byuakuren and Nitori.
The outside of her house is really messy with "junk", because she loves to collect everything. And it once even contained a legendary japanese sword that Rinnosuke ripped from her.

She is quite poor, since so many Youkais tend to show up at the shrine, not many humans have the courage to visit her for donations. But its nots like she have to eat leaves as fanon describes.
Its not impossible to speculate that she hunts for food, like animals. Seeing how this one chapter in Curiosities of Lotus Asia, they fight over how to eat that one bird they caught, that accidently got through the border.



Mystia Canon:
Mystia is a Bird Youkai, and with a Bird Brain.
She is speculated to be the real ⑨ of Touhou Canon, since she has a very bad memory.
This is proven in PoFV, that shortly after getting lectured by the Yama, she forgot that they ever met.
What she cares for the most is Singing, and get easily annoyed if someone doesnt like it or interrupts it.
She also admits to kidnapping humans.
She also have a band with Kyouko called Choujuu Gigaku, and is of the genre Punk.

Seeing how her friendshiplevel with humans are low, I would like to speculate that this foodstand is for youkais, or of some sort.
It may also be a trap for humans, but no such info has never been given.

It is sort of a trap for humans. They come to her stand, she sings and causes them blindness, then offers lamprey (which is supposed to cure blindness) to her victim, who pays and Mystia cures their blindness. A nice money grabbing scheme, I gotta say.
