...considering I only had Avonna developed beyond name and concept...

Saltatrix's name is derived from latin meaning dancer (feminine)

Xystus's name I recall meaning ruler/king or something...

I don't even remember what hat I pulled Avonna's name from.

Since I don't have anything on Saltatrix or Xystus, I can only immediately look at Avonna.

Long black hair, pale skin, she seems almost weak, frail.
Her voice is naturally soothing and sounds stronger than the woman it belongs to. Ghostly blue eyes. Also taller than expected.

Avonna could be the odd one out to make things interesting but maybe a few of these traits are derived from mother or father.

Ok, so what do they all have in common?

Possibly the father. For Avonna and Saltatrix should have traits that derive from him... And others that are of their mother.

Crap, so they ate pretty much a new race.

Ok, so I figure that we either come up with info on the father, or come up with a name for the mother first.

Which should we take care of first?

    Avonna's?
    Xystus and the mother
I'm considering Avonna to be the second generation of Papillians in general so the family tree pretty much starts with Xystus and the mother.

Ok, so where to start first? Her parents?

    The names typically do.
There are a few exceptions but they're few in number. Like Aion's best friend Joe.

And yea... I want to actually work on all of the royal family. I only really have Avonna somewhat set after prior discussion.

    That could work.

As for the mother, do the names have significance to them? If so, then what do you think the mother's name might be? Should we create a character, maybe flesh her out?

As for the race's name, makes sense.

Perhaps. Maybe it varies like the wings. Each has a unique aura about them that possibly distracts the mood and thus pacifies.

As for the mother... I really have nothing

It bugs me cause royal family.

Oh and trivia: i just remembered that I derived Papillian from the latin word meaning butterfly-like.

Maybe the males have a more imposing, almost intimidating presence. It still pacifies others like the females can, but in a slightly different way.

    What do you think?

As for Avonna's mother, do you have a name?

Well the only other thing I have down cold is that they have the passive ability to pacify any situation. It's near impossible to be hostile in the presence of a Papillian.

Also just to explain, before Avonna there was the first Emperor, Xystus, who was her father. Now I might say there's a difference between male and female Papillians. Because Xystus is more like a conqueror than anything else. He was definitely a commanding presence. The ability to pacify others might still be present but... it seems odd to me.
Saltatrix, Avonna's Sister, was more playful. Avonna is more peaceful and calm.

Xystus and Saltatrix were both killed during the initial part of the War of Eternity. I have no information about Avonna's mother.

Ok, so what other physical/mental characteristics and traits do they have? Are they fast, strong, intelligent, or something else?

As for the wings, I would guess that they are made out of Gaia energy, right? Do Papillians have any connection or affinity for Gaia and Anti energy?

    There will always be something.
But for now I think it's ok. We can move on to Papillians.

The first defining trait is their wings. Think Tabuu from ssbb and you're halfway there.
Style ultimately varies from individual to individual.

Avonna's for instance are distinctly butterfly like in appearance, whereas the late Emperor's didn't appear as such. Because their wings are composed of energy, they can "disappear" when needed.

The term angelic comes to mind...

    Ahh, ok.

Well anyways, we covered government, physical appearance, and culture, right? Are we missing anything else? I feel like we might, but I can't remember.

She was a "dark mage" on Alcyon who would become a "rival" of, and would later be accidentally killed by, Kiara.

The "substory" she's a part of is Shattered Ice Flower. Should ring a bell.
