I've come a long way as a pixel artist for Minecraft skins. To show an example of this, here is Koishi:

My god what kind of abomination is that up there?! Well to answer that... I had quite the interesting mindset when I first made Koishi as a Minecraft skin. For some reason I felt that the 'more canon' the image was, then the better it would be, so I specifically chose the colors on the official artwork Zun made, and even tried to mimic the facial expressions he's drawn on them. The first person to point out how silly the skin was on my Koishi was none other than Keychain. Realizing how odd my skin was, I made a quick edit notably on the face. I'm sure you can clearly see why.

Another interesting thing is you can probably notice some of the shading pattern from the first image still on the newer version of her skin. Specifically in her shirt.


Now... I know this is an art thread, and you've all see my Minecraft skins everyday, so I'll show a pixel art image visualizing what it would be like to see a sunset on my fictional world, Elgo:


I know the image is small, but it was designed to be more sprite-like, so I made it small intentionally.
