@wriggle
If it was a move that incapacitated her then he would have had a vision about it.
If it was a minor attack then there would have been no vision.
Then that would solve that.
Now the SCAE loose end...

@sus
There was a few reasons I created rule 15. That was one of them. Though i think that part of its purpose was lost when it focused on the discussion thread.

@Cucoo

No, that is the nuclear option.

The better option would be that some of his abilities are being dampened by the magic resonance of all the grimoires in the library (perhaps just those two, perhaps only certain types of magic). As for the SCAE, he could tell them later. Just because you didn't tell them as soon as he was introduced doesn't mean that your opportunity is gone. Perhaps there are more important things at hand, like traveling through a dark underground library.

We could always say that the spectre ignores all magic effects. Explains how he shrugged off John's light magic.

@wriggle

Is he immune to physical attacks too? If he's immune to magic, then there is no way to kill or even hurt him. It is my understanding that specters are immune to physical attacks. :confused:

That also raises another intersting little question. Considering that he is an unholy spirit, you would think holy magic would have worked. Is he immune to holy attacks?

@wrigs
Wait how would that explain the vision part?

@s121
Ya...but there was nothing to tell shulk: let's settle this later, lets keep moving.

Also: Monado and Monado Purge can solve anything againt this thresh-like guy.

Hm.. can the spectre be beaten by a mindbreaking tactic?

like making him lose his mind with blabbering or something related?

@Kristia

It is my understanding that he is the mind breaker, not the "mind breakee."

@Wriggle

Check my post above when you have the time.

@Cucoo

Then good luck with that. He might be immune to it.

@Cuckoo
By giving him immunity to magic abilities, it prevents the Monado (I think) and its' power to foresee the future involving him.

@Pringles

@s121
What about magic interference?

@wriggs
Monado isn't what grants the visions. Plus the only way to disable the Monado is the Apocropha, a massive generator which emits a specific Ether wavelength which counter's the Monado. But even then, Shulk's will was stronger and he was still able to use The Monado.

Monado Purge can seal all abilities and removes any form of buff and prevents any buffs from being applied even after the seal wears off.
