    The Demon Slayers Club (IC)

Hello there! This is the IC thread for Demon Slayers Club. This is where the actual Roleplaying will be done! (Duh!) As mentioned in the OOC, this is a RP based on more stereotypical stuff such as anime, as well as the old RP known as Bad Omen. In this first major post for this Thread, I plan on having a few different things here. I firstly will be providing a Link to the OOC for those interested or need a quick way of getting to the OOC. Secondly I plan on providing a list of characters to easily find. as well as the rules for reminder. Anyways here we go:

    https://yukkuricraft.net/forum/every...ayers-club-ooc

    RULES OF THE RP:

1: Every standard RP Rule from other RP's such as being respectful, no taking control of other people's characters without permission, no godmodding, no powergaming, and have fun. No meta-gaming either.

2: Please try to not make your characters as overpowered as possible. But try to be creative, and if you have questions/trouble making a character, just ask. The only exception to the rule of "No overpowered characters" are the Deadly Sins. However those are supposed to be highly important antagonist/neutral characters for plot reasons.

3: Most Main Characters will be rookie Hunters who *have not* gotten their Figment's yet. The existence of Demon's are still unknown to most Main Characters. UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION OTHERWISE. This is to try and help keep main characters balanced with each other.

4a: I'm taking this next bit from Wriggle's old RP Bad Omen since it perfectly sums up my stance on things. (Slightly edited with my own stuff)
    [TRIGGER WARNING]

This is a mature anime/light-novel style RP. There will be some slice-of-life in the daytime. There will be badass action scenes in the nighttime. There will be lighthearted comedy, AND there WILL be a lot of raunchy, lewd jokes thrown out throughout the RP. If you are not comfortable with this, you are free to press the back button and not join this RP. By creating an application, you agree that you are willing/comfortable to take part in this RP. Please note that there will not be any EXPLICIT sexual stuff. No porn or things like that allowed. So NO FULL ON ERO. This is not a Ero RP. Just a RP with very light Ecchi like you'd expect from a traditional anime nowadays. Just remember that just because YOU may like to take part in the shenanigans, doesn't mean other people who join this RP wants to as well. If they tell you they don't want to, then they don't have to. If you wish to post a picture that would be considered NSFW, please put it in spoilers with a clear warning:
    [ spoiler = ]
    [ / spoiler ]
Just remove the spaces and put said types of picture in between that format. Don't forget the warning outside of the spoilers..

    Rule 4b:
On the other end of the spectrum, expect a few moments to probably get dark and gruesome here and there. Even in some of the lighter anime out there have dark, and sometimes even gruesome moments.

    So remember. NOTHING EXPLICIT.

5: An App can be accepted by Wriggle, Koishi Komeiji, or myself. If the apps do not get noticed, please send a PM to me on Discord. Likewise if either of them tell you to cut something out (like you are being too inappropriate), then listen to them. They will function as moderators for me if I'm not able to catch when something bad is happening. However that does not mean they are allowed to get away with breaking the rules. If they do something that is against the rules (accidentally or otherwise), let them know or let me know. Same goes for me. If I end up doing things that would be against the rules of this RP, please let me know and I'll cease.

    Ortus Streets

The streets of Ortus were slicked with rain, a thunderstorm roiled overhead, causing the wind as well as the rain to only strengthen. Most would be indoors, but Waelin Brooke didn't have that luxury.

Her frantic footfalls careened around a corner, her outfit soaked, ragged, and splotched with blood. A jagged metal shard they held dug into their skin, but the adrenaline running through them made it irrelevant. They snaked through the empty streets as they could begin to hear another set of feet. They were losing ground, but they couldn't afford to curse. Their newly yellow eyes darted, locking onto an alleyway. They turned into it, only to skid to a halt.

    It was fenced.

They bit their lip, turning only to see a pale white hand grip the corner of the alleyway. She backed up carefully as it's owner crossed the threshold of vision.

It's frame resembled a human at a glance, but wrong. It's skin was pale enough to practically gleam in the few slips of moonlight that made their way through the clouds above. It's arms were long, gangly things that more resembled sticks in width than a man. It's legs followed the same trend, one leg longer than the other to fit it's misshapen abdomen. It's face stared with black orbs for eyes, it's mouth a gaping, lipless void that curled into a smile that would make a human's lips tear apart at the seams.

And yet, it wore a mockery of a suit, the barest attempt to blend in, for that is all it needed as it filled the width of the alleyway with it's wide-set stance.

"There you are." it's voice was a whisper that creeped across the alleyway despite the sound of the downpour. "You've been very, very naughty."

Waelin said nothing as it rose to a larger height, it's face obscuring the main source of light behind them. "Now, come."

It's movements were almost a blur, the sound of bones cracking as new ones were formed in moments, it's fingers and arms elongating to encapsulate them, both moving in with incredible speed

But Waelin was ready. They ran into and under the creature's legs in the tiny window, not hesitating in the slightest. The creature turned it's head and body in one smooth movement in response as confusion crossed it's face, and the girl shoved the metal shiv upward into the creature's throat as it turned into range, tearing it to the side right after and leaving a fountain of sanguine to coat the ground.

The creature stumbled and gurgled, grasping it's neck as the other hand reached for her. She met it straight on as metal shoved itself nicely into flesh and bone, blistering pain going through the thing's body and giving Waelin time to run. They continued on their path down the street, her palm bleeding from how tightly she held the shiv, now bloodied with thick, dark blood.

But the creature did not falter. It's hand grasped the wall of the alley before it moved out, obsidian orbs locking onto the horned girl's back, even as their neck still drew blood. It's strode quickly, it's legs covering twice the length Waelin's did, the creature closed in fast, their face contorted into a visage of hatred at the resistance.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Between the heavy rain and the fierce winds, it was certainly unsafe to be outside for most people. As a crackle of thunder rang out through the city, a lone man could be seen ahead in the distance. While the heavy downpour of rain made it hard to make out any details, it was at least clear that this man was at least in his 30's and was absolutely drenched from head to toe despite wearing a black rain coat while holding an umbrella in one hand, and what looked to be a small blue gemstone in the other.. The man seemed to be almost blissfully unaware of what was ahead of him as he whistled a simple tune as he continued walking towards Waelin and the creature...

As the man crossed into view, Waelin pursed their lips. Another one had gotten around. Of course they did. She continued, only increasing in speed, he legs aching and burning, even as the steps behind them got closer and closer, their light thumping drowning out the rain as the creature released it's grip on it's neck, the wound already healed. Arms creaked, cracked, and lengthened.

Waelin's pace greatly shortened the distance between them and the man, and in an attempt to confuse, they chucked the metal at them as they ran, hoping to distract them long enough to get by, at the least. Maybe they'd bump into each other or something. It was the best they could hope for.

Surprisingly the man quickly tried to duck to the side to avoid the metal blade, but he wasn't quite fast enough as it managed to cut through his coat and his shoulder. The man clenched his teeth as his shoulder began to bleed. While painful, it thankfully wasn't too deep of a cut. Right then however was when the man did something else that was surprising. The man clasped the blue gem in his hand tightly as he began to pick up pace before going into a full sprint. However instead of heading for Waelin, the man ran right by her, his blue gem beginning to glow bright before erupting into a series of blue electricity.

At that moment the man's gem was quickly replaced with what looked to be a black spear/lance with a glowing blue blade that coursing with electricity. The weapon itself was around 6 feet long total, and as he drew closer to the creature he his strange weapon as if he was about to try and impale the creature.

Waelin had no time to consider the man's course of action other than figuring they weren't after them. Good. They continued on their path, nearing the end of the street.

The creature's stride did not pause, even as the spear moved towards their flesh. Rather than simply letting itself be impaled, it's body simply contorted around the man's weapon, it's body curling as if a hammer had bent their body into a half-donut. Their arms readjusted their path and shape, a fist moving from the side to attempt to slam the man into the road and out of it's way, and the other readied itself to slam them into the wall if they dodged.

It knew exactly what the man was, but it cared not. The girl was more important than risking their life fighting their hated enemy.

The man grit his teeth as the creature began to contort it's body to avoid the spear, all while it prepared its own attack. This left the man in a bit of a predicament as it seemed that no matter what he'd do, the creature would just contort it's body around his weapon before slamming him either into the ground or into the wall. Unfortunately the creature managed to succeed as the man found himself being slammed into the pavement painfully, leaving him badly dazed. However the man didn't seem to have any serious injuries, he was just seemingly badly dazed.

The daze was all the creature desired, and it's goal shifted again in turn as Waelin turned the corner of the street. It would increase it's stride, bones elongating further to lengthen it's legs to an almost cartoonish level, it's height growing further as it crossed around the corner.

Even with adrenaline pumping, Waelin's legs ached immensely, growing with every step. They couldn't keep going like this forever. This was only strengthened by what came at the other end of the street, it too crossing into sight.

It was another, another of the things, it's suit hastily put together and mouth silently cackling with a set of rotting teeth.

"N a u g h t y." it came from both creatures at the same time, echoing across the street. Waelin stopped in response, their hands shaking. They were going to die. They were going to be taken back and turned into whatever horrible entity they were supposed to be by now. She felt anger. Desperation. Fear. A melting pot of negativity, stewed to perfection. Her body screamed at her to stop, her mind just ready to boil over.

                It couldn't end like this.

And her soul agreed. To their pursuers, their eyes were momentarily blinded, their stride stopped. From Waelin's eyes, her exhaustion was lifted, strands of glowing thread flying out from their chest, coalescing, fashioning themselves into a blade that fit perfectly within their hands. It felt like it had no weight, as if she held nothing at all. Her mind could be racing, trying to figure out whatever just happened, where the weapon came from, why the creatures turned from delight to apprehension, but in all honesty, at the moment, she didn't care in the slightest as anger flowed, their view snapping around to the taller creature behind them.

"That. Will. Be. ENOUGH." Waelin's voice was a normally calm thing, but now, her emotions flowed freely. The girl stomped towards the creature, blade in hand. It paused, considering what to do for a moment before it struck out, arms swinging, bone piercing through it's fingertips and forming into sharpened claws. Waelin ducked under it and slid on the wet concrete, slicing through one of the beast's legs as it went under them. The blade struck and cut through flesh and bone as easily as paper, the severed foot and lower leg tumbling off and the creature's gait was abruptly ruined. It's cries were just as low in volume as before, yet it reverberated and thrummed through their head as if it was deafening.

She used the opportunity to push herself off the ground. It too was easier, as if she were as light as the blade. But they had little time to consider that as it's torso twisted towards them with a crack, a hand lit with light reaching over them. Strings tied themselves to the girl before the creature directed the overhead hand into the closest wall. He body practically turned into a ragdoll for a moment as she was slammed into the wall with great force, her mouth spewing up a spray of blood before the other hand moved to slam into them again.

The man coughed as he managed to regain his composure, weapon still in hand he got up to one knee as he looked over his shoulder behind him and in the direction the creatures and the girl went. For a moment he even felt something different. He didn't sense the presence of just the two creatures, he was also sensing another force, a familiar one. A energy he felt when he first go his own weapon years ago...

Sensing this he smirked as he stood up, His spear crackling with electricity as he began to focus, "Guess the real fun's about to begin..." He spoke as he quickly stood up straight before turning around to face the direction the creatures were at.

At that moment the man took off sprinting in their direction, with his speed picking up to blinding levels, Almost as if he was as fast as lightning bolt as electricity could be seen coursing through his body.

Once he had the creatures in sight he took his spear and quickly thrust it forward at one of the creatures, at that moment a wicked thunderbolt fired from the tip of his spear right at the creature that was attacking Waelin. The man continued to run towards the creature as well, getting prepared to impale one of the beasts with his weapon after the thunderbolt connects.

The thunderbolt nearly connected with the creature, but a shimmering phantasmal wall intercepted it, forming in but a moment.

The second creature had entered the fray, casting the spell from the other side of the street. But it wasn't done, as the wall thrummed with held energy. And with a release of their grip on the air, it retaliated, the bolt flying back towards the Slayer as they charged directly into it.

Waelin could barely move with the string's hold on them, leaving them close to a puppet on strings. But with what slight movements they could, they angled the blade they held. The punch came in, and the angle did it's work, a pair of fingers slicing off cleanly as the blade's tip dug deep into the thing's wrist, halting it's hand's momentum as it's thrumming noise of agony resounded within the heads of both even louder.

The slayer was both surprised, but a bit impressed at the reaction time of these creatures as his own thunderbolt was deflected right back at him and due to his previous action of charging forward, he was struck dead on.

However while it get the man to stop his charge, it didn't seem to do much damage to him as he then began spinning his spear in front of him, using it's properties to redirect the electricity up towards the sky.

"I have to give it to you, you guys in particular are annoyingly fast." He said as he quickly took aim at the second creature. and after a very brief moment of charging energy into his spear, he pointed it at the beast, firing an orb of explosive ball lightning at it. This attack however wasn't going to be too powerful, it was just a distraction as he then began focusing deeply, charging energy into his weapon before tossing it high into the air like a javelin where it seemed to disappear. However as he did the sky began to crackle and boom with thunder and lightning that was getting more intense by the moment.

The second simply strode around the sphere, the shrapnel from the blast barely even phasing it as it began to contort it's hands, preparing another spell as it's hands glowed a myriad of colours.

The first seemed exceedingly and thoroughly hateful. After the prompt stabbing, the remaining fingers clasped around the blade deep in their hand and wrenched it away from the girl, propelling the blade halfway into the ground before it focused on the the man. With a simple thrust, the girl was sent hurtling towards the man with no small amount of force, phantom strings cutting before the creature willed itself upwards, remaining foot barely hanging off the ground. It's mobility returned, it's undamaged hand followed up the flinging with a green glow, it's hand spewing a stream of corrosive acid towards both man and girl alike.

"Just one more minute..." He thought as the thunder and lightning in the sky grew more intense. However before he could do anything else, he looked ahead as he saw the girl flying towards him. Bracing himself the man caught the girl without falling onto his ass. Instead he was simply pushed back when he caught the girl with bot hands, however he did feel a sharp pain as his something sharp impaled his shoulder, something he didn't notice before... the girl had a horn. Normally he would have said something, but when he looked up his eyes widened, seeing a stream of acid flying towards the two as well. "Son of a bitch!" He cursed as he jumped back while holding onto the girl. It was clearly that he was definitely a more experienced Slayer by his strength and endurance so far...

After avoiding the acid however, the man briefly looked up at the sky, and as soon as he did he smirked. "Perfect! Crash down, Electric Fang!" He roared as suddenly and in a brief and blinding flash, his spear along with a devastating bolt of lightning came crashing down on the second creature.

The second's hands glowed white as soon as the first word was shouted. A pair of barriers formed above their head. The impact of the spear dug into and shattered the first with it's velocity, but it's momentum was cut, clattering off to the side as the blast impacted the second. The barrier shone with light, the entire street becoming almost blinding for a moment before the shield redirected the lightning back into the sky. It's inhuman face gave a grin towards the man. It was stronger than the slayer likely expected.

Meanwhile, Waelin's head wavered with a wave of dizziness, especially at the skewering done to their supposed savior. It left them in a very uncomfortable position, especially considering they were being held, meaning prying the horn out would be... impractical considering the circumstance. This situation was going poorly, even with the blade. The blade that was now completely out of reach and deep in the road. Waelin kept quiet, trying to stay as still as possible for the man's convenience.

The first creature's damaged hand rose. It's red glow was moments before their blood coagulated, forming a set of two replacement fingers and covering the wounds they had received. Then, their spilled blood on the ground rose, forming solid, sharp shapes which hung in the air before darting towards the two's current location, aiming to saturate the area with shards.

Despite the situation they were in, the man's reaction was somewhat comical. Going from a look of triumph to absolute annoyance as his attack only managed to destroy one of the creature's barriers.

"You gotta be shitting me!" Was all he could say before he quickly turned around and began running as fast as possible, and unlike Waelin, his speed was quite impressive. Almost similar to that of a professional athlete as he ran with her in his arms, and her horn in his shoulder. The rain continued to pour as the thunderstorm raged on.

As he ran he cursed "Dammit, I hate these things. Why couldn't they have given me an easier assignment on a day like this!?" He complained as he continued to run, trying his hardest to weave back and forth in a desperate attempt to dodge the monsters attacks. Only barely managing to avoid each projectile.
