All the Island's a Game | OOC

- Introduction-
This is my idea of a survival RP, revolving around the characters from ATWAG (All the World's a Game). For those of you not interested in reading the Story Section, i'll lay out the gist of it here. The characters have crash landed from a plane onto a mysterious island, with odd creatures and otherworldly elements, and with their abilities crippled. Your goal: Survive and find a way out.

-Story-
It was a strange day. Many characters were invited to a 'party' at a secret location only accessable by plane. Many characters rejected, but others did not. Maybe it was for booze, money, or genuine curiosity, but eventually, it led to a large number of characters getting on a single plane. All was quiet, for a time. But then, the crackles of thunder were heard. It was odd considering wi was crystal clear moments ago. Then, it hit, several bolts of lightning, hitting the plane in several locations, plummeting it down through the sky like a stone. The wreckage was bad. THe front part of the plane was severed, wings shredded, along with the pilot, and some of the characters dead.

The wreckage rendered those still living unconscious, but outside the plane was someone out of the ordinary. It was a man, tall and almost lanky, in a white striped coat and suit, looking like he was ready for Winter. His short, well-combed black hair looked ready for business, and shadows blocked the view of his face.

"More lambs for the slaughter, oh, what a bother. But they'll be great fun when they start to run." the man chuckled, and then seemingly vanished out of existence, leaving the wreckage and the survivors on their own.

- Notes -

If you have a character in All the World's a Game, previous interactions and memories are here.

If the character was in All the World's a Game, in their history for the app, try to include ATWAG stuff.

- Rules -
All basic RP rules apply here, but there are some additional ones.

1: Character abilities are stripped down to far more basic things. Things such as super strength and speed are reduced down to simply 'you are a little stronger than normal, you aren't going to be lifting trees single-handedly'. If it's magic related, using magical abilities will drain your strength A LOT. As in almost passing out territory. Sort of passive abilities are also nerfed. For example, a character with the power of invisibility (Such as Koishi) is more like you aren't invisible, but an opponent's mind start to drift when they look in your direction.

2: You aren't Superman, you take a hit or a wound, but it must heal over a while, and may limit your usage with that appendage or region of the body depending on the severity of the wound.

3: All characters can start with up to three items. Nothing like a RPG or something. Think small things. Snacks, trinkets, that sort of thing.

4: All characters need to have some kind of weakness. Being good at everything is boring.

5: One person per character. No exceptions, unless they get a pet of some kind during the RP, and in which case, will not require an App.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Now, for my own app.

Character Name: Koishi Komeiji

Game of Origin: Touhou Project

Appearance: Has wavy, grey-greenish, short hair and dark green eyes, wears a black hat with a yellow ribbon around it. A open and pupilless dark blue "third eye" is positioned over her heart, with cords wrapped around her torso and attached to each of her ankles. Wears an orange shirt with diamond-like blue buttons and dark green collar. The skirt is also green with a faint flowery pattern, but a lot lighter. Her socks are black.

Abilities (consider the nerfs): Opponent's mind can drift while they are looking in Koishi's direction. She's adept at identifying edible plant due to her experience outdoors. Lastly, due to Koishi's satori heritage, she can see clearly in the dark.

Weaknesses: Koishi isn't the best at fighting in close combat, unless she's got the advantage of surprise.

Items: Koishi has her hat as a storage device, capable of carrying a limited amount of items (around 10), but if it can fit in the hat, it doesn't matter the size. A bundle of granola bars that she keeps for emergencies, and a journal with a mechanical pencil.

History: After Koishi entered the real world, she met the spartan known as John, and went on a vacation to Hawaii. There, she had fun, caught a giant Akrid, met Model X, and other things. Eventually, she returned to Gensokyo when the "Devourer Incident" happened, and boarded his ship, The Consumer.

There, she fought Lucifer twice with the help of the engineer known as Isaac Clarke and a mythical sword. She also helped fight Malthael, the angel of Death, who was soon banished to another realm. Eventually, after the Devourer was defeated, Koishi and Isaac boarded an escape pod along with Hank J. Wimbleton, Deimos, and Sanford. The duo of Koishi and Isaac then walked along, and then Isaac, who showed compassion towards Koishi, caused her to feel, thus causing an incredibly painful process of her third eye opening. Afterwords, Satori banished Koishi from coming home, in which she fled to the Inventory, where with Isaac, they watched a movie.

fter the owner of the Inventory, Winslow, died, she was chosen as the successor. She took up the job, but felt pressured 24/7, with her job, along with essentially having control of so much, even an army. Eventually, she got an invitation for the party. She saw it as an escape. Unbeknownst to her, she would be pressured once again, though in a different way.

Character Name: Edward Kenway

Game of Origin: Assassin's Creed 4

Appearance:

Spoiler

Abilities:
- Eagle Vision: Allows him to focus on a target after seeing it once, and allows him to track it.

- Skilled hunter and capable of fashioning tools (such as darts for a blowpipe, rope darts, and other things) out of various materials (typically animal bones and hide)

During his privateer years, Edward spent his time repeatedly climbing the vast rigging and masts of his warships, providing him with a deftness that equaled that of any Assassin.[6] He was also known for wielding at least four flintlock pistols, a proficiency in dual-swordsmanship, and for exemplary skill with a variety of armaments.[4]

One of Edward's most invaluable pieces of equipment was his ship, the Jackdaw. She was equipped with a diving bell that Edward used to dive for treasure beneath the waves; during these maritime explorations, Edward proved to be a strong swimmer who was capable of fending off hostile sea creatures such as sharks if he was attacked.[7]

Weaknesses: Normal Human

Items:
- Dual Hidden Blades

However, a quick end to the war and the promise of gold, glory and fame eventually seduced him into a life of piracy; it was during this quest that Edward first encountered the Assassin and Templar Orders, and became embroiled in their struggle.

Eventually, Edward chose to entrust the Observatory to the Assassins, and elected to join their Creed.

since he doesn't have anything really significant yet in AtWaG, I'll just use this.

John-117
Spoiler
Name: John Yakumo (AKA John-117)

Appearance: John is 6'10" (2.08 meters) and has blue eyes, dark brown hair, and has a heavy build. He is also covered in an astonishing amount of scars from from head to toe, all from his past experiences.
Spoiler

http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs21/f/2007/301/5/9/SPARTAN_117_by_HighwindEngineer03.jpg

Abilities: Spartan-II Cybernetic Enhancements. Carbide Ceramic Ossification (virtually unbreakable bones), Muscular Enhancement Injections (increased tissue density and lactose recovery time), Catalytic Thyroid Implant (boosted growth of skeletal and muscle tissues), Occipital Capillary Reversal (increased visual perception),
Superconducting Fibrification of Neural Dendrites (1400% increase in subject reflexes and increase in intelligence, memory, and creativity). An uncanny, almost supernatural amount of luck.
He also has the ability to control Light and Darkness magic.

An unusual amount of luck. He's not the living embodiment of luck, but more often than not, the fates are kind and smile on him. He also has the ability to use Light and Darkness. (Check the Stats and Skills for the rest.)

Stats and Skills:

SpoilerHeight - 6 ft 10 in (2.08 meters) (unarmored), 7 ft 2 in (in armor).

Weight - 182 kilograms (400 lb), and about 635 Kilos (1,400 lb) with armor on.

Speed- John's run speed has been slowed down, but he is still fast and c an run about as fast as an Olympic athlete, 41.84 km/h or 26 mph.

Strength - Capable of lifting enormous amounts of weight, due to his ceramic carbide bones, catalytic Thyroid implant, and muscular enhancement injections. His augmentations may be weakened, but his physique allows him to lift around 3,000 pounds (1360.77 Kg).

Reflexes - John's reaction time has been diminished, but he is still faster than the average human. His reaction time is now about 100 milliseconds. When in SPARTAN Time, his reaction time is 75 milliseconds.

Durability - John's indestructible bones are not virtually indestructible anymore, but they are still much stronger than average bone. His bones are about as strong as reinforced steel.

Misc - It is not known how intelligent John is, but the average IQ of a SPARTAN-II before augmentation was about 160. John can still mostly see in the dark, albeit not as well as before the crash. Due to his natural genetic makeup, he is resistant to diseases, sicknesses, and infections. He also possesses an unusual amount of luck. He's not the living embodiment of luck like before, but more often than not, the fates are kind and smile on him.

Skills: Hand-to-hand combat expertise (Spartan Training), trained to use a wide variety of guns, Command and Assault Specialist, was leader of Blue Team, has a high-level education, skilled in stealth operations, highly acrobatic, is experienced in first-aid, and well versed in military tactics. Not only that, he is also very skilled and experienced when it comes to surviving in the wilderness, thanks to his training on Reach as a child. He is also proficient with his new Light and Darkness magic abilities. Good at dodging projectiles, thanks to Yukari's training.

Equipment: He wears an olive green shirt, many-pocketed jeans, and hiking boots. As for what's on his person, he has an Energy Sword with maximum of 10 uses, a Carbon Steel Combat Knife, and EB Green Duct Tape.

Weaknesses: Despite all of his strengths, weapons, and skill, he is still just a human, which means he can be killed. He can be killed by damaging his vital organs. His soft body tissues are durable, but they can still be damaged. He has yet to master swords and other melee weapons, so he can be bested in a swordfight. That being said, he is still not to be taken lightly at close range. His physical state is beyond reproach, but his psychological state is somewhat shaky, ever since Cortana died. After she died, he spent over three years dwelling on it, causing him to slowly crack more and more. Because of this, certain events can lead to him doubting his ability to protect those around him. Not only that, but he has been known to "freeze" when he is faced with loss. This is perhaps his greatest weakness.

Morality: "Chief Petty Officer Mendez always instilled discipline, honor, and respect into the SPARTANs. He taught the SPARTANs how to kill, but at the same time he taught them the
difference between right and wrong."
That being said, The Chief is Neutral Good. He will follow his commanding officer's orders, but if it is morally wrong or negligent, he won't.
During the events on Requiem, he tries to convince Captain Del Rio that the Didact is a threat.
Risking imprisonment, he then refuses to relinquish his friend Cortana and decides to go after the Didact anyway. In the end, his actions saved the Earth from the Didact's wrath.

Personality: Strives to succeed in any situation, tenacious to complete any mission at hand, not devoid of fear, but he simply acknowledges it and puts it aside,
while never openly showing it to others, generally stoic and taciturn, but not devoid of a sense of humor, often makes dry remarks about the situation at hand,
he is a man of his word and strives to keep any promise he makes, even at great personal risk.
Although John has difficulty understanding the 'undisciplined' lifestyle of civilians, he is fiercely protective of their lives and humanity as a whole.
The mass slaughter of civilians at the hands of the Covenant was enough to drive even the stoic John into a merciless rage.
John is known to show an exceptional care for soldiers under his command, while at times viewing them as a liability rather than an asset.
This is not to say that John was previously without compassion. <----Summary of the Wiki.
As time progresses, he may start to open up to those around him.

On a more personal, less formal level, John has changed a lot within the past 2 years. He shows more emotion, he talks more, cares more about people, and has more patience for his teammates. He is naive when it comes to certain things, but he has made progress. Sometimes, John acts more human, while other times, he retains his usual calm demeanor. John will usually remain calm and focused, but when directly confronted with a "mundane" situation that he doesn't know how to deal with, he will quickly lose his demeanor and become nervous, embarrassed, confused, panicked, or other emotions relating to the current stress and situation.

Bio: After finding out that everything he had gone through was meaningless, he fell into a deep depression. His life, his sacrifices, the people he's seen die in horrible ways, his only friend, Cortana, was all but a game; a dream. He was nothing but a fictional character, thought up by game designers.
He couldn't make connections with people because he wasn't trained for that. He wasn't trained to feel, he was trained to be the ultimate soldier.
He had nothing... nothing exept for one thing. His training. He pushed himself to at least live through his depression.
He's done the same thing before with the loss of his friends; even more so recently, with the loss of his only friend Cortana. To him, he was a soldier, a soldier without a flag, without meaning.
Trying to find meaning in his life once more, he tried to join the army. His only problem was that he was promptly denied. The world was not going to let each country recruit these "fictional" characters; there would be even more chaos than before.
Looking for the next best thing, he joined a local police force as he thought to himself, "What do I have to lose by making a difference..."

One fateful morning, John was walking to work until he saw a strange sight. Men were harassing a green haired woman. Seeing that they were Neo-Yakuza, John quickly destroyed their car and apprehended one of them. After an insane twist of events, John met a Youkai, a fox Digimon, a robotic boy, a Keyblader, and many other people. With their help, they have slowly but surely altered John's perception of himself and the world around him. John had gotten into many conflicts alongside them, fighting the Organization, Tricky, The Auditor, the Neo-Yakuza, various Characters, and an alien race called the Nucleoids, lead by Gluttoneriel the Devourer. The Devourer was determined to consume Gensokyo and the Earth, but John and his friends fought alongside the people of Gensokyo, eventually reaching the Devourer's ship, where they had their first confrontation. After many fights and injuring his leg, John returned to the main chamber of the Devourer's ship, where he saw the demise of Yuuka and Ran. Shortly after Ran's death, John witnessed Gensokyo being sucked into a vortex. John's romantic interest, Yukari, confronted the Devourer herself and defeated him, saving Gensokyo and the world. Unfortunately, she used a "Last Word" spellcard, killing her in the process. This deeply affected John, making him relive the death of Cortana and see that everyone that gets close to him dies. As the day stretched on, John lost his friend, HM, to a kidnapping devised by fallen angel named Sebastian. John attended a funeral for all the ones lost to the war, but in a twist of luck, two girls by the names of Flandre and Seija resurrected everyone lost. John was thankful for his fiends and loved ones being revived and now that the war was finally over, John could focus on living happily.

After an undetermined amount of time, John and Yukari were given invitations to go to a party on an island. John didn't really care much for going to a party on some faraway island, but Yukari convinced him to go without too much difficulty. After all, John wasn't about to let Yukari go alone.

Traumas: He has fears, but he doesn't let them get in the way; he simply acknowledges them and pushes them aside. Other than that, he has no mind numbing fears.
He is however sympathetic to loss, ever since he lost someone he cared about. It has been mentioned that he cares for and will do whatever it takes to protect civilians.
This is possibly his berserk button, if they are being slaughtered. When he is unsure of a situation, he falls back on his training for support. Ever since Cortana's death, John has questioned his ability to protect those he cares about and has questioned himself, his humanity. He has met many people that he would consider friends. His greatest fear is losing them. As for his humanity, he feels that for Cortana's sake, he should try to become, or at least act more human. John is sensitive on this topic.

Character Name: Yukari Yakumo

Game of Origin: Touhou 7 Youyoumu: Perfect Cherry Blossom

Appearance:

Spoiler

Abilities: Due to the nerfs, Yukari cannot bring about an item from her gaps without expending too much energy. In perspective, the most massive object Yukari can bring about in a gap without resulting in 100% fatality is a wooden 2-room cottage. The amount of energy lost follows an exponential decay formula, and is determined by the variables of mass of the object and the density of the object.

She cannot bring herself or another person off the island for unknown reason. She laments the fact that she will miss this year's Oscar award ceremony, but whatever.
Her physical ability is stripped to the average human man, but her endurance and temacity is exceptional, able to exert herself for a longer period of time than normal human. She also still keeps her wisdom and intelligence.

Weaknesses:

She is still a Youkai. Therefore, she is weak to weapons that attack the spirits and weapons with names and legends.

Additionally, because she was so reliant on her gap abilities before, her combat will be rusty for a few first hours, if not days.

Items:

After salvaging through the remnants of the airplane, she was able to find the following.
- A small hatchet from the destroyed cockpit.
- Aluminum 750 mL Water bottle from a stewardess waiting room.
- A heavy-duty flashlight with full battery from a fallen Character’s bag.

History:

“Oh, a private party on a faraway island. How interesting.”

“Will you be going, Yukari-sama?”

Yukari was enjoying a leisurely afternoon when she received an email regarding a party at a private resort… bring anyone you want… it has been a while since Yukari went on a vacation, much less with John. This'll be a perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with him.

“Yeah, I’m gonna go alright.” Yukari gave a big smirk. “With John, of course. This’ll be fun.”

Almost all of you are good, though I am a bit iffy about Otori, due to A: He's an OC. I hate OCs. B: Why is he on the plane? The invite was sent out to CHARACTERS. Not humans.

Well, I thought it was for ATWAG characters, but I gues freaking NOT.

F*ck this sh*rk , I'm not wasting another hour making an app for someone who hasn't even made as much a difference as everyone else.

Character Name: Taokaka

Game of Origin: BlazBlue

Appearance: She stands at 5ft 7.

Abilities: Taokaka is skilled in combat, preferring swift and unpredictable attacks over a strategic fighting style. She has the instincts and abilities of a cat, being only slightly faster than a normal human (due to the nerfs she can run at 15 mph, while in ATWAG she can run at 30 mph in full sprint), as well as having cat-like reflexes, scent, and smell. This allows her to be useful when it comes down to hunting her opponents... if she isn't distracted with anything.

Weaknesses: Taokaka isn't the brightest character and has a short attention span, as simple things like a butterfly flying into her line of sight could easily distract her from a fight, leaving her vulnerable to attack. She also lacks any real means of ranged combat, as such she uses her speed (even though it's nerfed) to close the distance between her and her opponent then striking with her sharp blades. She is also quite frail and has relatively low stamina, tiring out quite easily. She also tends to get angered and distracted more easily the hungrier she gets.

Items: Not much save for her coat, which houses her claw-like blades in her sleeve 'paws'.

History: A resident of the Kaka Village and member of the Kaka Tribe, Taokaka is a catgirl, wearing a large coat that obscures her face, only exposing red eyes and a row of sharp teeth; whether or not this is her true face is still a mystery. She wants to get back the sky above her village, which was sealed off. She was sent by the Kaka Elder to retrieve the bounty on Ragna's head, becoming a vigilante in the process. Despite this resolve, she is considerably food-obsessed and forgetful, often falling asleep on a whim, becoming hungry moments after a meal, or forgetting details moments after hearing them because. She became good friends with a woman named Litchi, who she oh so affectionately referring to her as "Boobie Lady".

She does not seem to refer to anyone other than herself by name and creates nicknames for people she meets. She is unable to recognize that Ragna, the "good-guy", and "Rawgnya", the criminal, are the same person, though there were times she seemed to know but did not care. Interesting to note is the fact that the Kaka tribe, which she hails from, is actually genetically engineered from the genes of the original Grimalkin (the name that refers to the species of the Kaka tribe), Jubei, one of the Six Heroes. As a clan, they are copies of each other, and cannot reproduce above one hundred members.

Now she is in the real world somewhere. Being around in the real world for 3 years so... yeah...

She had recently received a plane ticket to some place for some mysterious reason. Thinking that there would be food she boarded the plane... Not knowing that she would end up stranded on an island.
