Rez munched on another bite of his sandwich as this Mutsuki girl spoke to him, he chewed while giving her a rather accusing look. It sounded like she was going to ask him to join them, but he didn't particularly like the idea of just lying about his past.
"Yeah, that's true. But I'm surprised your sensei spoke highly of me considering I was kicked out of my school for being reckless." he said, eyeing her weapon. It might be a perfect opportunity to reprimand her for carrying a metal sword around, if that was in fact what she was carrying. Perfect time to put his skills to use. His left hand shot away from his food before anyone could even blink, and drew the girl's sword part-way out of its scabbard before she even realized it. It was, in fact, a wooden blade.
"Aaaaaaw, I was hoping you'd have been carrying around a real sword. I wanted to give you shit for being so reckless." He said with a frown on his face. "Oh well, get to the point: Is there something you need from me?"

"Well then, I was thinking of going to the park, the one with that big fountain in the middle" Mirabelle suggested "It has something of everything close, food stalls, stores, many things. we can either go and relax or have some active fun" she said with a smile "That way we can show both Misaka and Drake some parts of the city so they can enjoy what they see as good"

Mutsuki gave a slight frown when Rez revealed that he touched her sword without permission. To her, swords were like her body; so in theory, Rez was, without authorization, fondling her breasts... figuratively speaking. "I would've appreciated you not touch my blade, thank you very much."
In the meanwhile, Maya was gazing down at her own foot, trying to keep her mind away from Rez and Mutsuki's conversation. However, it was hard to keep her eyes and ears away. Mutsuki was gorgeous; Maya wasn't into it, but she was jealous at the very least: jealous of her rocking body, her outgoing attitude...
"Anyway..." Mutsuki gave a little cough. "We of the Art of Blades club have been looking for students who are interested, but we couldn't find anybody thus far. Since you've done Kendo before, we were wondering if you could... join our club?"

"That's a damn good idea!" Karuna concurred, for multiple reasons. Hanging out in the park was a perfect opportunity for her to befriend Drake a bit more and relieve the stress of being a high school student. It would also allow her to investigate about what Alisa observed, which was eerie and suspicious to say the least. If it was truly about the Omens, then there has to be some amount of clues she can retrieve back. "What say you, Drake? Wanna hang out after school?"

Wait a minute... don't club members get on-campus housing? I could be closer to Maya that way...
"Actually, on second thought... I'll join on one condition. On-campus housing. Same building or whatever as Maya here is in. MEET MY DEMANDS OR THOU SHALT NEVER HAVE MINE BLADE."

Giving a thumbs-up to her two friends who were assumed as part of the club, she made a large smile. "Awesome! I'll talk to the Housing office and find a room for you. It may take several days for them to find a place, but once they do, they'll let you know."

"Yeaaaaaaaaah~" Rez cheered in celebration, "I'm gonna live next to Maya~ I'm gonna live next to Maya~" He placed his hands together and rotated them in a horizontal circle as he celebrated his victory. If you could call it that. "But you know... moving in sooner than later would be great."
He looked at Maya and leaned over the table, "Why don't I just move in with Maya and be done with it?~"

Maya flustered when Rez suddenly advanced towards her with an offer to live with her in the dorms. A small percentage of Maya's mind began creating phantasmic images of shenanigans that may occur when the two lived together, although majority of her mind dissuaded herself from the offer.
"W- well... the dormitories are not really co-ed, you know... only minor cases such as twins or siblings can live together as opposite gender dormitory partners." Maya revealed. Her sandwich was barely touched: only about a single bite eaten. Maya was a slow eater. "I read it in the rulebook, you know."
"How about this?" Mutsuki offered. "Both of you can come with me to the housing office after the meal so we can sort out the dormitory issue. I'm sure they can see to it that you move in today, Rezar."

"Sweet," Rez started, "The sooner I get to move out, the better." He finished, taking another bite of his sandwich. He chewed for a moment and swallowed half of what he had bitten off so that he could speak coherently. "Sucks that I can't move in with Maya though. That would've been aaaaaaall kinds of fun, I'm sure."
He finished off what was left in his mouth and took another bite of his sandwich. He hadn't even touched the water bottle he had gotten earlier, yet. "That sound good to you, Maya? Or would you rather go do something else?"

She rarely had an opportunity to speak as there was almost never a break in conversation between the other three. sh wasn't sure if there was a right or wrong time to speak but in fear of being rude or awkwardly talking at the same time as someone else she just kept her mouth shut and silently nodded to show she was interested in going to the park later.

She barely even touched it, and both Rez and Mutsuki would have to wait for her to finish eating which would take a long time. Instead, Maya reached into her backpack, brought out a fresh zipper bag, and sealed the sandwich inside it to store it for later. "I don't think I can finish this sandwich in time, so I'll store it and eat it later."
Meanwhile, Mutsuki quickly left to talk to the other two students she was with. Their murmur was a bit muffled by the excited jibber-jabbering of the crowd, but Rez and Maya were able to deduce that Mutsuki was dismissing the two, evident by how the two male students ran off to join a soccer game near the food stall.
"Right, I sent those two clowns away so we can go to the housing office." Mutsuki announced, glancing at the two male students she sent away with teasing glare. "Follow me: I know where that office is like the back of my hand."
