"Spicy, please." Lyrica politely smiled. "Oh and could I get a glass a milk with that, too, please?"

"Will do, ma'am." The waiter bowed as he retracted back to the kitchen. "Have a wonderful evening."

(Sorry, I had a brain lapse and didn't see this yesterday)
Mac let out a whoop of joy at scoring a hit, and so did Sherry. The agent was getting the hang of it again, and now all she had to do was capture the little bird pokemon. She reached for a pokeball on her belt before hesitating. Try as she might, she could not bring herself to just throw a ball at a downed bird, even if it did come at them both. The sight of blood against the blue wing brought an empathetic expression with it.

Sherry remembered Claire bringing in a kitten once. How she adored that little bundle of fur. It pounced her fingers, nuzzled her arm, and cuddled with her face when the girl hugged it. She looked down at the little bird before her and felt terrible at having ordered it knocked down from the sky. It was no kitten, no, but Sherry felt for it. No animal deserved to be hurt by the actions of a human. She sent a sympathetic look towards her Machop and dropped down near the Taillow.

Fumbling through her pack, Sherry pulled out another spray-bottle potion solution and approached the bird with it.

"S-sorry, little bird," she whined. She held up the potion solution and sprayed it against the bird's wing when she could get the chance, no longer concerned with capturing it just yet. "I didn't mean... We didn't mean to hurt you that badly..."

The agent's words were genuine. After looking at the Machop and other pokemon like it, Sherry figured that pokemon were very hardy creatures that could take blows normal humans could not. She, unfortunately, was wrong.

The Taillow fluttered and shielded herself away from Sherry as she sprayed the potion on the Taillow's right wing. The strange aromatic scent by the chemicals was unknown to her wilderness-trained nose.

Sherry frowned as the Taillow winced and shielded itself away from her. Here she was trying to help, but the little bird was either too untrusting or bothered by the potion. This did not sit right with the agent, who shook her head and pouted. She also didn't know what else to do with the bird, so she took the opportunity to examine it closely with the use of her new Pokedex. She flipped open the device and pointed it at the Taillow.

"Taillow, the Tiny Swallow Pokemon," the Pokedex chirped. "Taillow courageously stands its ground against foes, however strong they may be. This gutsy Pokémon will remain defiant even after a loss. On the other hand, it cries loudly if it becomes hungry."

"Oh... I see, it's in your nature," Sherry said. Seeing the little bird turn away reminded the agent of Claire and how she never backed down, even when beaten. "You're very brave! I could use someone like you on my team... Oh, but, your wing..." Sherry raised the potion solution again before hesitating. She tucked it away and produced a plump Oran Berry from her pouch before placing it between her and the Taillow. "Here... Would you like a berry? It's okay, I won't hurt you anymore."

The Taillow at first flinched at the Oran Berry, but noticing that the berry wouldn't hurt anyone, she hopped over to the berry and began to consume it by pecking at it, piercing through its' super hard skin. Seems like she lost her will to fight against this trainer because of her hunger.

Sekibanki ran up to the confused Nursery Aide, & calmly asked, "Can me & Aurelia here have a Pokemon battle with you?" Nursery Aide June looked at Sekibanki, looked long & hard at her, & sighed.

"Listen, I was just in a battle. It made my Pokemon faint, & me very, very sweaty," June said creepily. Sekibanki shivered, & replied, "Oh. I knew that. Well, I suppose I'll just head for the Gym..." Sekibanki turned around to get away from the Nursery Aide, but June would have none of that. "You do realize that the Nimbasa Gym has been moved outside this amusement park, right?," she asked Sekibanki.

Sekibanki stopped. She looked over her shoulder at the Nursery Aide. "Oh, I see. Elesa moved it, didn't she? What a pity," Sekibanki exclaimed, disappointed. June slowly smiled, & suggested, "You've never battled with your Pokemon before, have you? If you go to the gym now, you'll be wrecked, so I suggest you go to Route 4 & catch some Pokemon. Do you need Pokeballs? I can give you 10."

"That would be great! I was going to Castelia City anyways," Sekibanki gleefully exclaimed, accepting the Pokeballs. She turned to leave for real this time, but not before withdrawing the Barboach Aurelia. June stared at Sekibanki as she left. "I know that girl will change things for the better," June whispered to himself.

Sekibanki strolled out of the Amusement Park, towards the gate. The gate guard saw Sekibanki & called out, "Hey, I see you have a Pokemon, Ban-chan. Let's have a battle now!" Sekibanki was so overjoyed at the gate guard, whose name was Shamira, asking her to battle that she didn't even mind being called Ban-chan. "OK, let's do this. Go, Aurelia!"

Sherry smiled at the Taillow as it pecked and ate the berry. She hadn't seen many birds in her life. Most of them were crows, ravens, and other large and ugly birds that lingered in areas where the dead rested. Just once she wanted to see a songbird on a tree branch in Edonia instead of a crow pecking at one of a J'avo's many eyes. She just had to have this little bird come along with her. A glance at Mac at her side revealed that he too thought the same thing.

"Brave bird... Would you like to travel with me?" Sherry reached for her belt and unclipped a pokeball. She enlarged it and presented it to the Taillow. "I can't promise much, but I can say that if you come with me, we'll see a lot of places. As a trainer, I'll make sure that you get big and strong too. Also, by coming with me, there's a good chance that we'll see a lot of new berries on the journey. So... What do you say?" Sherry shrugged. "Wanna team up?"

At least this was going better than when I tried to enlist Jake's help, Sherry thought to herself.

The Taillow blinked at Sherry in amazement. This trainer was trying to catch her. The berry was delicious and all, but is she really worth becoming a trained Pokemon? Can she really take the task?

She thought about it. What would happen if she stayed in the wild? She would be able to freely fly around the Hoenn Region, unbound by anyone. However, she will never get stronger than how she is right now. The world is a big place, the Taillow knew, from the flocks of other Taillows that would migrate around the region, and if she wants to explore all the areas, she needs to get stronger. After giving time to think, the Taillow decided to take up on Sherry's offer.

The Taillow chirped happily and hopped into the Pokeball. Hopefully, this trainer would turn her ambition of becoming the strongest Taillow into a reality.

                    Wild Taillow was caught!
Would you like to give the caught Taillow a nickname?

"Alright! Go, Growlithe!" The guard threw out his Pokeball as well. The Pokeball released a proud and loyal canine Pokemon with black and orange fur. The Growlithe roared and stood the ground against Aurelia the Barboach.

Sherry blinked twice when the Taillow dissolved into the pokeball. She felt the capture mechanism kick in and rumble before growing still with a shrill beep of confirmation. The agent stood still, allowing the weight of what just happened to set in. She had caught a Taillow, and best of all, the little bird had come voluntarily! Sherry figured this was really a special pokemon, and she vowed to treat it with the respect it deserved. Just as she exclaimed her joy at the capture, she felt her pokedex rumble in her pocket.

Upon flipping open the Pokedex, she noticed a registration tab had appeared with the information known about the Taillow. Sherry raised her eyebrows at the gender, having suspected it was a male at first. She noticed the registration wanted to know if the trainer wanted a nickname for the pokemon and thought for a moment. What brave women did she know in her life? Plenty of historical figures, sure, but ones she had personally met? Smiling, the agent inputted a good name in for the Taillow and closed the pokedex, cementing her choice.

"Welcome to the team, Claire," Sherry giggled. If only Claire Redfield could see this now, Sherry thought. "Mission complete! Mac, let's move out to Petalburg. Time to get back to the task at hand."

Sherry clipped Claire's pokeball to her belt and gave it a motherly pat before leaping off the southern ledges of Petalburg Woods on her way to the main city. She heard Mac keep up with her and grinned. So far, so good, she thought. As long as she made good on her promises, she would have a strong team ready to back her up, and they would have a smart trainer to guide them.

"Jeez..." Yuuka sighed, dusting off her white sleeveless even though there was no dust on it. "I guess I have to get used to actually having people around me."

Yuuka sighed again and felt no strength in her hands. She felt humane. This isn't how it's supposed to be, right? She's a Youkai. She's supposed to be cruel, merciless, unsympathetic, but in reality...

Yuuka walked down the staircase to find Chung sitting in the kitchen. She gave a warm smile to him and walked up to the refrigerator to make breakfast.

"Is that what you've got? Hmmm," Sekibanki thought to herself, "If I use Mud-Slap... Well, Aurelia can only use Mud-Slap." Finally Sekibanki ordered, "Aurelia, use Mud-Slap!" She could see Gate Guard Shamira making a hard decision. She knew that he was in an unfavourable situation. The only question was, who would go first?

Koishi woke up with a big yawn as the sun shone directly into her pale face. She looked down at Snow and Wiggly were still sound asleep. Koishi quietly got out of the bed as not to wake the two as she prepared her things for the day. There were many possibilities. She pulled a granola bar out of her hat and munched on it to gain her a little energy. She may have not been able to use her powers, but she still retained her youkai sense of a very little appetite. She checked the inside of her hat to see if she had what she needed, which luckily, she did. After about 30 minutes, Koishi woke Snow and Wiggly up, and fed them some berries she had plucked during their travel to Oreburgh.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.

You just discard their guts and keep on driving.
