"..." Lynne took up the drawing of the most horrendous monster that was present before disappearing. But Lynne saw no monster... It was just a portrait drawing of herself. Lynne silently gathered the littered drawings across her bed, crumbled it into a mass of paper ball, and tossed it into the trash can.
"..." Lynne brushed a speck of dust off Trista's hair. This simple gesture communicated a lot more than expected: you do not have to cry, there are no monsters here.
However there was a monster: the one that Lynne is concealing.
