Trista looked up to Cygnus' determined face. Trista didn't have much idea as to what Cygnus was getting herself into. But for Cygnus, Trista would do anything for him. Almost anything. And if that meant listening to what he had to say, then Trista would listen to it with the utmost attention and fixation.
"Cygnus... Of course, I would listen to it. I will never forget it. And... I would never forget you. Not ever." Trista said in her most innocent and most promise filled voice. Her ears prepared for whatever story Cygnus had to tell. Whatever came her way, Trista would be ready and willing to listen.

Storage - Infirmary - Trinity Soul University

Without fault, Julie stepped into the storage room and made haste to locate where she stored Sinuda's blood. The blood bag in particular was stored in a specific part of the storage room. The blood containment unit. A unit that held the blood that had either been donated to or acquired. The unit was sorted by blood type and each blood type was sorted by the name of the original owner. Remembering what Jonas had mentioned in Sinuda's records, Julie knew that Sinuda's blood should be in section AB near the back. Fortunately, type AB blood is a rather rare type of blood so Sinuda's blood was very easy to find. Pulling the blood bag of the unit, Julie then began to look over the storage room to check over any unreported takings or placements. Although it wasn't strict protocol in the infirmary, as most staff were trusted to keep everything in check, Julie still did the once-ever every now and again to ensure that nothing went wrong. After ensuring that everything was in check, Julie promptly left the storage room and made her way back to the ward where Sinuda was waiting.

Jason simply nodded at Cecelia and followed suit, making sure to keep the same pace as the quick waitress. As Jason followed Cecilia, he quickly brushed his thoughts of the man behind him out from his mind. After all, it wasn't like the man was an immediate threat.

After walking a bit more upstream, Zero started some practicing and Ryofu is sitting on a nearby rock with her knees under her chin. Zero uses a think tree to use for practice his swings on. Ryofu watches Zero practice. "Zero good." She says as she watches. "Not really, I still have a ways to go." He says as he back grip swings to the left and whacks the tree hard. He stays still with the bokken on the tree for a minute. "Something wrong?" Ryofu asks. Zero slowly places his hands down. "Will I be able to find that witch and kill her?" He asks himself quietly while looking down.

"Zero?" Ryofu said as she tilts her head to her right. Zero quickly looks up and to his right at Ryofu. "Nothing. Just talking to myself." Zero says and then flips the bokken into a front grip and slides it into his left side of the belt. "You hungry? I'll treat." Zero asks. Ryofu's stomach growls, even though she just ate not too ago. Ryofu nods and stands up. "Ok, let me take a shower and I'll meet you at the entrance shortly." Zero said. "Ok." Ryofu said and they started to walk to the dorms.
"No matter how strong or what power the enemy has, I will fight and protect my friends, even if it cost me my life to protect them. I will fight until I die to ensure their future."

"Here goes, then..." Cygnus hesitated for a second, and began. The snow was fallinq heavier, but still soft like feathers.

Ceres, California - 4 years ago

"Father? Mother? Where did you go?" Cygnus asked as she wandered the Stallion mansion. His younger self was not as tall as he is now, but he was still taller than most other 14 year olds. His hair was relatively shorter, slightly short of his shoulder level. He looked... more innocent... at least for now.

He began running, running to find anyone in his empty house. No father, no mother, no Rosaline; Cygnus' nurse, not even Silver, Stallion family dog. The entire mansion was devoid of life, the inhabitants literally vanished overnight.

          Except for Cygnus.

"Trista... I... will be leaving... I thank you... for everything you've done... to me." The Younger Cygnus was writing a note in front of Trista's house, his voice more determined than sorrowful. He was bent on finding his family and bringing them back home, but he haven't forgotten about Trista...

Trista... what a dreamy and charming girl she is. That fateful day when he met her subjected to a prank gone wrong... if Cygnus wasn't walking Silver that moment, there wouldn't've been Trista Soul in the present e
world. He knew how important he was to her, and how important she was to him, and he didn't want to subject her to more danger here, but finding his family was more important to him.

"Trista, I promise that I will return. Very, very soon." The Younger Cygnus muttered softly as he placed the note in the Soul family's mailbox and left Ceres to find his family...

          2 years later

"So good of you to come here. Welcome to my humble home. I am Madame Franchesca."

Cygnus was taller. His hair was a bit longer, with the tip brushing his shoulderblades. His eyes knew hardship and difficulties he faced while looking for traces of his family... traces that led him to Madame Franchesca, a shady-looking woman living alone in the woods of Maine.

"You said you knew where my parents are?" Cygnus went straight to the point. He spent too much time chasing fake hints of the whereabouts of his family and he did not want to waste any more.

"Yes, indeed my child. Come, closer." Madame Franchesca cackled as she held up something. Upon closer inspection did Cygnus realize it was a gold medallion with a well-adorned S stroken across it: the Stallion emblem that only his father should've had.

"Why do you have this, Madame?" Cygnus' voice grew colder, his eyes wrathful.

Madame Franchesca cackled again. "Funny thing, fate is. Your father was oh so interested in magic when he was young... heiress of the mighty Stallion family, the most powerful of all noble family in the IAF..."

"Were you the one who kidnapped my parents... our staff..."

"Of course, magic doesn't come without a fee, so I asked him for a tiny bit of his fortune... how unfortunate is it that he forgot to pay me back.. so I had to come myself to receive the payment with a little... extra interest."

And there he lay, behind Madame Franchesca's hunched figure, lit by the candlelight, was his father's lifeless body. That was enough to send Cygnus into a fit of rage. Cygnus, who never wavered to any shock, who could never be angered, attacked Madame Franchesca like an animal, screaming in pain and misery.

"You dare to attack me?" Madame Franchesca, with agility impossible for a normal old woman, avoided Cygnus' attacks. She held up a book and chanted Hexium Progresso, which sent out a purple blast of energy towards Cygnus' heart. The hex struck dead on, but not before Cygnus threw a large crystal ball at her. The crystal ball shattered, bruising Madamr Franchesca with countless cuts, while Cygnus was knocked away. The hex cauded Cygnus' heart to pulse wildly, sending arcane energy throughout his body, ending at his arms and hands. Scurrying and barely recovering, Cygnus ran away.

"...gah... you wretched beast of the Stallion... Curse you. Curse you! You shall become wanderer and a vagabond forever. All mankind will grow resentful of you over time. And you will come back. When you do, you will die by my hands, and the Stallion fortune shall be mine... MINE! Your tattoo on your arms will be the mark of my curse! REMEMBER IT, CYGNUS STALLION!"

          Campus Entrance

By the time Cygnus finished his story, the snow was falling heavily. He took off gloves, the gloves that he never took off since he left Ceres. And there, on his hands, swirled black lines of wicked patterns: the mark of his curse.

"I was branded an outcast by the same sorceress that killed my parents. I... cannot stay in one place for long, less I bring despair and death to my surroundings. I don't want to bring that to you and your friends. So I ask you... perhaps my final plead... will you rememer me as who I am, even when my curse causes you to resent me?"

Trista listened to the story as hard as she could. She had no idea that it had come to this. When Cygnus left Ceres, she merely thought that the Stallion family had simply left. She didn't know that... they had... gone. She didn't know of the cruelty of this... sorceress... The one who killed the Stallions and the one who even cursed the person closest to her. All of it... all of it done out of simple greed. Desire for all of Cygnus' belongings and all that belonged to his family. And when they refused, that... woman... killed them. She killed them all. And when Cygnus sought for the truth... for answers, the woman bragged about her accomplishments and seemed to have even taunted Cygnus into attacking her. Only for Cygnus to get cursed. For him to be lead to such a harsh fate. Universal hatred and resentment from mankind... Cursed to be an eternal nomad... A wanderer... Who only caused hatred around him...
"Cygnus... I had no idea..." Trista said. Her voice was filled with both sorrow and shock. "I didn't think it... That..." Trista quickly stopped in her tracks. Not because of her fear or loss of concentration. But because not only did she know that Cygnus knew what words Trista was going to say but also out of sorrow and sadness. Trista didn't even know what was worse. Cygnus' past, Trista's past, or even Cygnus' own doomed future. While it made Trista's own troubles seem minute compared to Cygnus', they still hit Trista very hard. This was the reason He left her. This affected her as much as it did to Cygnus. And that's where it hurt most. For the past two years, Cygnus tried his hardest not to bring his curse to Trista. He really did not want to have the same fate to happen between the two of them. And just like that, Trista's eyes began to water. She didn't know how to take this at all. Much like the first part of bad news imparted on Trista on that one night, Trista couldn't find any words to describe. Agony, you could say. Pain... in one's heart and soul. And, like the snow falling around the two individuals, Trista's tears began to descend down her face. Some of them dropping onto the floor while others began to soak Trista's own clothing. Before long, Trista began to break into tears once more. Of all the beings that could befall such a horrible fate... Amongst every being that could have received it... Cygnus had to be the one to receive it. And it made Trista question everything. Why? Why did it have to be Cygnus that had to take the blow? Why did the sorceress do it? Why couldn't she acquire the money through other means? Why couldn't the Stallions and the sorceress come to an agreement? Why? Why? Why? Right now, Trista couldn't think of anything other about the pain that she felt. The pain that reemerged from Cygnus' departure and also this new pain that she felt. This pain over the fact that Cygnus had been cursed. That his fate had been tainted and both Trista's and Cygnus' friendship was on the line.

Storage - Infirmary - Trinity Soul University <Sinuda>

While waiting for the nurse to find her blood, Sinuda began thinking backwards into what other things had happened this day. One thing she immediately knew was that she had to have some sort of weapon of some sort. There had been numerous times when she had been in need for some blood in case she would have to protect herself. There was even a time when she had found a little splinter to get some blood out of her finger. Although a solution like that would work for most situations, here she needed something that was both more direct and a little bit more hidden for the untrained eye. She wouldn't need to hide it, she would just have to disguise it.

In a attempt of getting a idea of what to disguise it as, Sinuda looked around the room for some clues. Mostly she didn't really see anything interesting. Just normal tools that you would find in any medical place. This meant that she had to be a little bit more imaginative with the objects that she had around her and try to think outside of the box.

When Cecilia finally found an empty booth for Jason she smiled as she turned towards him. "Here you go sir. Now before I give you your menu what would you like to drink? We have Coca Cola products, Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Grape Juice, Wine, Tea sweetened or unsweetened, and nice fresh water. Now what would you like?" Cecilia responded as she knelt down, resting her head and arms on the table Jason was sitting at.

Maya's Enchanted Shop of Sorcery - TSU

Meanwhile things were getting late. No one had really stopped by her shop, and Maya was leaning back in a chair at the front counter of her shop. She had a bored expression on her face indicating that things have been rather... meaningless to her.

She had gotten permission to open a shop here on campus. She intends to sell things such as enchanted items, enchant items for people, and help various people depending on what they need help with... yet nothing... She even had Hajime wear a sign advertising her shop, but still no one had come by...

"This is boring... not a single customer yet! I wonder how I should get business started..." She said as she began to think of something to help her shop get customers...

Jason found Cecilia's behavior to be somewhat unusual, albeit at least a little cute, but he didn't show it. Instead, Jason retained a calm, content state as he spoke.

                    Lake - Trinity Soul University

As the wind blew through the trees near the lake, an unusual man walked along the lake's edge, taking in the cool, calm serenity of the area before him. It had been a while since he had the pleasure of admiring nature, especially considering that he used to live in a suburban setting. This lake on the other hand, was exactly what he needed; no noises except for the chirping of the crickets, the faint croaking of the frogs, and the whispering wind blowing through the trees. As the man reached a suitable spot, he laid on the cool grass as he crossed his arms behind his head and looked up at the night sky.

This man's name was Tristan, and so far, today had been somewhat... unusual. First off, Tristan was unlike any of the other students in TSU, he was the offspring of both a Dullahan and a Rokurokubi, both being creatures of legend that could detach their heads and struck fear in the hearts of humans. This entire day, Tristan had to try his best to hide his identity, lest he scare some of the students and make his experience here unpleasant. So far, Tristan had gone to great lengths to hide his identity, and luckily it paid off. So far, everybody simply thought that Tristan was just some strangely dressed guy with stitches on the sides of his mouth, and as long as they continued to think that, Tristan as happy.

As the minutes ticked by, Tristan closed his eyes as he laid there in the grass and relaxed, content that there was a place like this on campus.

After Jason told Cecilia what he wanted to drink she quickly wrote it down and stood up. "One Coca Cola coming right up sir!" She said with a smile. She then handed Jason a menu. "I'll be back with your drink in a minute sir. Until then figure out what you would like to order okay? Okay. Be back in a minute!" She said as she walked away.

The menu had many different things to order. Steak, Chicken, Fish, bread, potatoes, soup, corn, and many other different things listed on the menu. The stuff on the menu was surprising. If you thought of it then it was most likely on the menu. It was basically an order what you want kind of cafe.

The list of deserts on back of the menu was just as grand. 10 different kinds of cake, 6 different kinds of pie, 20 flavors of ice cream, parfaits, milkshakes, and even bowls of desert. The food was expensive though, but thanks to Jason's coupon he got one free meal. Which includes 1 drink, one appetizer, one dinner, and one desert all in one. It truly was his lucky day to have a coupon for a whole dinner for one.

Meanwhile Drake had been brought up to the second floor by a waiter, and was seated in a booth directly across from Jason.

The woman had shoulder length black hair, with a single blue bang. Other than that the woman looked relatively normal...

Maybe it's because of the increased amount of snow falling, or maybe because of the curse taking effect... maybe Trista's heart was already beginning shut Cygnus away. "I don't know how long it will be until you outright detest me, but I will be here until that time comes, next to you."

Trista could not believe the words she was hearing. "...until you outright detest me..." Trista didn't want to believe it. She didn't want it to come true. The curse... That one day even she herself would hate Cygnus in time. No... No! It could not come true. Never! And yet Cygnus spoke it all in such a cold yet somber voice. As if he believed those words himself. That he too believed that it could happen in the end. And why? Asides from completely altering one's perspective or mind, how could a curse turn the greatest of friends into enemies? Trista just didn't know what to say. And it only served to make her tears fall more frequently and harder.
"Cygnus... Don't... say those words..." Trista said in between her crying. "Don't say those words, Cygnus! I will never hate you! I... I never will! You say this curse makes everyone hate you. But I don't! I won't! I... I..." Trista attempted to follow up but she couldn't. She just could not find any will to continue. And Cygnus was acting as if he didn't care what this all meant to her. That this curse affected more people than just himself. It affects everyone he has ever know or ever cared about. And, most of all, it affects Trista. Whenever Trista had a problem of her own, Cygnus would always find out and try and help her out of it. Be it troubles with the other kids or with her emotions, Cygnus would find out and he would be there for her. If it was a problem of Trista's, it was a problem for him. And yet here Cygnus was... Forgetting all of it... Forgetting that the exact same thing was happening right now. And Cygnus acted as if it was his own problem when it wasn't. With all these thoughts in her mind, Trista found whatever will she could muster to say what was on her mind. For Cygnus needed to hear it.
"You... You act as if this... this is a problem of your own, Cygnus. But... You failed to realise... That... That... That you always helped me out with my own problems. And... here you are... With a big problem of your own... Cygnus." Trista said very quietly, following off with a tiny giggle. At a glance, the whole thing seemed like an oddity. Trista in absolute tears and yet being able to find something funny to giggle about amongst the sorrow that was this conversation. "Don't you see that... that this affects more than just you...? It affects me as well. You said it yourself... In time... as much as I don't want it to happen... even I could begin to hate you. Do you really want me to hate you, Cygnus...? Please... Don't make seem like it's all about you... Let me help you. I could... I could even find some way to negate it. Or even... Or even a way to dispel it. Please... Cygnus... For me...?"
