    Nexxus - San Francisco

"Nice to meet you." Alex smiled shyly as the bouncer started allowing guests into the club.

"Come on in, gentlemen, welcome to Nexxus. Hello, ladies, welcome, fine-looking lady, have a good time here tonight." The bouncer addressed to the guests. "Ah, ah, ah, let me check that backpack young man."

"Good. They're actually checking backpacks and purses for drugs and such." Alex observed from the line.

Sara nodded to the commanderīs silence and entered the cab ("So we got an insider, probably that man who only uses a revolver as fire arm") she thought remembering one time checking the weaponīs state and the owner wanted it to be easy to blend in the clothing.

Ethan looked over to the bouncer at the front of the line and quietly mused about him checking backpacks, as well as Ethan's own backpack. Ethan had left his backpack at Nitro's store, but he would have to find a better way to store his armor when he decided to take it. Sooner or later, his bag would either fall into someone else's hands, or would be checked for any contraband, so he needed to think up of a good way to store and hide the armor without fear of being found out. For now, Ethan would try to enjoy the club, but later he would have to think about this further and hopefully come up with a plan.

As Ethan thought, it seemed as if he had zoned completely out, as if he was deep in thought.

The interior of the club was both relaxing and exciting at the same time. The tables were lighted by warm incandescent light, while the dance floors and DJ table were adorned with cold neon lights. The club was beginning to fill up with guests who began taking seats, hopping on to the dance floor, or ordering drinks.

"We should sit near the dance floor, so that we can watch people dance." Nitro encouraged as she dragged on Ethan's arms.

"I'm gonna go get a drink." Alex said. Then, she turned around and assured, "Don't worry, I have a special permit. I can drink when I'm 20."

"Lucky bitch." Nitro pouted as Alex strode over to the bar. "Come on, let's go get us a table."

            Johnathan gave a little smile.

"Come now. You think too much."

            His smile faded.

"Our objectives are as follows. Retrieve the Corrupt alive for interrogation and, if possible, the new weapon they have developed. Create as little of a scene as possible. I don't want the news cast at my door step. Most of all, as little casualties as possible. We cannot spare to have someone die on us. If you need any more information, ask me or look through the case files. Now then, we should head out. The operation supposedly starts in an hour."

He than told the driver where to go: a night club near south San Francisco called Viva La Fiesta. A night club with a taste of spanish theme.

Ethan took in what was happening around him. The club was dimly lit, there was the noise from the people dancing and talking, and the faint smell of alcohol permeated from the bar nearby. To be honest, Ethan had never encountered such an active room before. Just then, Ethan heard Nitro ask about finding a table, prompting him to turn his attention away from his thoughts and towards her. Ethan shifted his gaze, from Nitro, to the various tables near the room, and within a second, Ethan found one that was situated near the dance floor.

"There's a table over there.", Ethan said as he pointed at a table near the dance floor.

After speaking, Ethan began to walk towards the table.

"Nice, nice." Nitro headed to the table with Ethan and sat down. The guests noticed the two: the guys scanning Nitro up and down with lust and girls staring at Ethan dreamily. Nitro picked up a menu and raised her eyebrows. "You can order food here? This place is great! What do you want to eat? It's on me."

So the specialist asked "Anything characteristic from our soon to be guests?" she hoped for anything, Limping, freckles, a mole, anything to look for.

Ethan had just sat down and picked up he menu when Nitro offered to pay for his meal. To be honest, Ethan was a little bit surprised and let the menu droop towards the table as he looked over at Nitro.

"Are you sure? I could pay for my own.", Ethan said to Nitro, not wanting to be a burden to her.

"It's fine. I'm not totally going to take the food cost out of your paycheck or anything." Nitro said as Alex reappeared with three cups in hand. One was a velvet drink with two ice cubes inside: presumably Alex's. The other two were orange and was sparkling with carbon bubble.

"I got you orange soda." Alex said as she placed the drinks on the table one by one. "I didn't know what you liked, mister Ethan, so I got you the same thing as well."

"Appreciate it. Alex, you should order something to eat too."

"Maybe later." Alex answered. "Guess who I met at the bar."

"Who?" Nitro asked while drinking the soda.

                      "Joseph."

Alex's answer shocked Nitro so much she spouted the drink out. She wiped her mouth and looked at Alex with her eyes wide open. "You serious?"

"Yes I am. He's bartending there. You should go see him."

"He never told me he got a job here." Nitro giggled in delight as she rose from the chair. "I'll be right back, Ethan! Enjoy!"

And Nitro left to see this man named Joseph, leaving Alex and Ethan alone at the table.

Ethan simply nodded at Nitro as she left before turning his attention over to Alex. To be honest, Ethan would have preferred something else, but he was perfectly fine with what he was given. After all, as Alex said, she didn't know what Ethan wanted. In fact, it was kind of her to bring him a drink. With that in mind, Ethan spoke to Alex.

"Thank you for the drink.", Ethan calmly said to Alex before taking a small sip of his drink and placing it back on the table.

"Don't mention it." Alex said simply as she observed the dancers. They were just starting to get into the groove, swaying from side to side. Slow, trance music was being played in the background, and the so-called DJ Sinker was not at the DJ table yet. "I usually know what people would like when I look at them in the eyes."

She pointed at a guy trying to ease himself into the dance floor. "That guy, he is totally forced to dance. He probably likes tea, especially Cassia tea."

She then redirected it to a woman trying to flirt with another man. "Her, she probably is a coffee person: you can tell that she's a businesswoman."

She finally glanced at a loud, boisterous group of young men and women two tables behind where Alex was sitting. "Them, they're here to have fun. I wouldn't be surprised if they all ordered beer or shots or something."

She then stared at Ethan, her golden eyes hypnotic and alluring. "But you... I can't tell what you'd like. It's like your eyes are clouded."

As Alex stared into Ethan's eyes, Ethan began to feel slightly nervous, although he tried not to show it. Of course, if Alex payed attention, she would be able to tell that there was something more to Ethan. Ethan had a feeling that when Alex said "clouded", she meant that they looked dead. He was actually a little afraid that she would be able to figure out that something bad happened to him, and after that, the questions would flow forth, and Ethan would be forced to answer them. He couldn't tell her or Nitro about his past. He couldn't tell them how his entire family died and that he was the sole survivor of a brutal massacre. What would they think of him? They would possibly become uncomfortable with him, maybe try to distance themselves from him. After all, nobody really wanted to be around a "downer". Ethan knew that if he tried to change the topic, then Alex would surely know that there was something up with him, and it would be certain that she would pick up on it. If he wanted to ease himself out of this situation, he would have to pay it cool, try and act as if he was curious about her observation, try and make himself as unassuming as he could. He didn't know if he could pull it off, but he would try.

"Hmm. That's strange. Is it something that happens often?, Ethan asked Alex in a calm tone, hiding his apprehension as best he could.
