For a while.:p
Halo has 10 games (one is a remake), 10 books, 8 comics, 1 anime, 1 "movie", a couple of "mini movies" (Mona Lisa", "Headhunters", etc.), 5 misc. games ("I Love Bees, etc."), and 9 concept books.
WTF!? I thought this was supposed to be a GAME franchise! XD
I really didn't know that there was so much crap. I thought it was just the games and a couple of books.
It really is a game franchise, it's just that they really expanded into literature and other forms of media. -_-;
(I'm not sure if it's a game franchise anymore... It still started out as a game franchise, so I should be safe.:p)

There are also several spin off games for the classic series in the Mega Man franchise. 2 Arcade fighters (with classic Mega Man gameplay. They are quite addicting) Then there is Battle and Chase.
Don't forget that pretty much every title character of every Mega Man series has had at least made an appearance in countless other games.
If you were to count every Mega Man game, and every game where a Mega Man character had appeared in it would be a long as hell list.

It kinda makes you think, there's got to be larger, more expansive video game universes than just Halo and Megaman.
Of course, it would be nice to see Master Chief as a guest character in other games, maybe add him in the next Smash Bros, just like what they did with Sonic and Snake.:p
At least there's Brawl hacks.

Master Chief would be an awesome character to add in a crossover game. Maybe one day in the future if we are lucky a gaming company can get the rights to add the title characters of various game series together in a classic fighting style game, or a 4 player brawler. I would love to see an official game with X, and John together. If they were to do that they would probably have to add Cortana as well (a crossover game like what I just described wouldn't be canon to other series, and thus Cortana can make an appearance.)
Also... I wonder what Cortana would think of X, Zero, Axl, Mega Man, Bass, Dr. Light, Dr. Wily, and Chris...
Also I thought of a crackpot idea for this RP that would probably not even be put into use...

Well my idea was that what if somehow they managed to get Cortana as she was in Halo 4 (most likely near the end of it or so) and quickly they manage to get Halsey's DNA to "fix" Cortana? Then the Alia (or a certain other Navigator from X8 that has a thing for Zero) could help and make Cortana into a more physical form? Kind of like how the Cyber Elves were in the Zero series. A sentient computer program created with pure energy and made in a physical image and form.

I'm not very sure they could bring her back, considering that the device used to bring all the Characters exploded. Not only that, I'm not sure if the real world would have the technology to fix her and keep her from going Rampant.
It would also make things very complicated in the RP, on many levels.:p
They could make a replica of her, but it would never be the original Cortana, even if the clone feels like the real one. It would actually be quite sad. She would probably know that she's a copy, and John will feel wrong about the whole situation. She would be exactly like the original Cortana, but John would know that despite everything being the same, it would still not be her, not in spirit.
It would be like cloning one of us. The clone feels like the real thing, but they are still two different people.
Oh, to answer your previous question about how Cortana would react to the others, I'm not entirely sure. I've read into her profile, but it would be hard for me to emulate her personality.
I think she would be interested in their technologies and most likely look inside X, Zero, Axl, Mega Man, and Bass's programming. You see, she is actually the most advanced AI in the Halo universe. She was able to process all of human history up to the 26th century in 2 hours. We're talking about the irrelevant stuff too, like cookbooks, the Internet, and a ton of other stuff. I'm sure the robotic members of the group would be rather annoyed by her.:p as for Dr. Light and Dr. Wily, she might regard them as she would with any other normal person. With Chris, she might say that he would make a great Spartan. She has a gift for picking exceptional people to team up with. She chose Six to escort her to the Pillar of Autumn, a giant ship that John was on. He was in cryosleep.

I also just thought of one thing... Proto Man, and Cortana have more in common with each other than other characters, and yet at the same time have a lot of things different.
1: Cortana, and Proto Man both have highly advanced AI (with Proto Man being a completely independent robot as he has free will, though that is mostly due to a error with his systems. Though he is still a highly advanced robot with a highly advanced AI which separates him from the others. The reason why he isn't labelled as the first robot with free will is because it was because of an accident. While X was meant to have free will [not only that, but X also had like 30+ years of testing before he was finally released to the world to make sure he was safe and secure.)
2: Cortana and Proto Man both have a gift of seeing something great in people. Cortana has a gift to pick out exceptional people to team up with, and Proto Man can see the good within people. For example he knows and realizes that Mega Man truly does wish to fight to protect others around him, and as such is why Bass will never be able to beat Mega Man.
3: Cortana in Halo 4 was on time limit to her own destruction, and so is Proto Man. Proto Man is burdened with the curse that his core is unstable, and that one day he will eventually die. Which is why he prefers to be a lone.
There are other things that make them somewhat similar, but I can't think of them.
I think if Cortana was in this RP her and Proto Man would relate to each other quite well...

So you know what it's like... to be cursed with the fact that one day you will eventually die... disappear... however I don't think I even have anyone I could consider close to. I just shun everyone away... though that is how I chose to live, and I live as I wish. That is all."
