Sounds good to me. Remeber that it was not a simple act of removing the virus. It was also a act of placing something else in it's place.
If you want Chris to feel bad you can have him feel bad for the people in the town he just saw. It's more like a alternate universe more than a simulation because of how accurate it is. (Maybe the devourer will go there next.)

He still feels bad though. Also think of all the memories that are being brought back up because of this whole mess. Chris feels like he is going to hell (but when compared to other characters I think his problems are next to nothing on the whole emotional torment scale.)

When I said "To the ship!... After the Extractor", I meant that they need to blow up the Extractor first, not that they took her there.:p
They could have teleported Ran to the Consumer.
As for the Extractor, that area would be extremely dangerous to sneak around in.

The beast duo are agile and sneaky, they can take an enemy´s keys without being noticed << >>
EDIT: Also it isn´t said how they got Ran, so I can assume there is atleast a ship or portal beam to the devourer
