Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

John was about to push past Sebastian, but suddenly the Higher Power appeared.
"Get a room? What does that mean?", John asked the Higher Power in a slightly confused tone.
John was still determined to get past Sebastian, but perhaps the Higher Power might have some information for him. It was either that, or he was bored.

"Bah, nevermind. I'll take the hard way."
I swung my hand to the side as I did earlier when summoning Lust.
"Hex summoning; Come forth, Gluttony!"
All of a sudden, it was not a person, but a hellhound that came forth.
"Do you wish to search someone, lord?"
"No no, I'm actually summoning you to show me the way home."
"Home? At last. I haven't had a decent meal since our little vacation."
Then, the hound took a good whiff of the air... and then took off at incredible speeds, Sebastian tailing it.
"Bah, nevermind. I'll take the hard way."

John realized that the Higher Power was right. John couldn't believe that he got distracted by the Higher Power. The randomness of the situation must have gotten John out of focus. John would look up "getting a room" later. Right now, John had to stop HM.
"Right...", John said as he sprinted inside of the escape pod.
John knew there was someone else in there with HM, but he didn't know who. For all John knew, HM was going to kill the other occupant.
"HM! You have to listen to me!", John shouted as he got closer and closer to the room HM was in.
