Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

I tried to spin the staff, but ended up hitting myself in the head.

Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

I was pelted with staff blows. They hurt, but at least they disn't sting.
As she pelted me with staff blows, I quickly used the staff to block a blow and I spun and hit her to the side.
"Once. Ain't that bad for a beginner, eh?"
I backed up.

Axl turned to Yuyuko. "I don't think he's listening anymore..." Said Axl as he walks off. "So let's go find your friend now."

"Yes Dr. Light. I want to keep fighting! Not for the thrill of the fight, but to protect others. You did make me with the power to make my own decisions in life... and my decision is too keep fighting. I will use all my power to protect others Dr. Light, even if it means losing my life in the process!" Replied X as he lowers his head.
Dr. Light however turns away from X as he scratches his chin.
