Jason heard the clang of Seki's "Chain-sama", then saw as the flames began to close in on him. It was all starting to become disorientating to Jason. Finally, Jason had enough.

(No more.)

Reacting quickly, Jason then put another field around him, only this field was different. This was a "time field". As soon as the fire entered Jason's magical range, they stopped in place and died out, due to the chemical reaction of the flames being completely stopped. Jason was feeling somewhat strained, but he managed to hold the field. What he didn't expect was that not only was Seki's "Cainsaw-sama" caught in the field, his knife was as well.

The flames completely disappeared, revealing Jason with both weapons stopped at each of his flanks. Jason's knife cooled down, thanks to the heat being stopped. Jason looked at the knife and was somewhat angry. Seki's attack didn't combust the metal, due to its high resistance to heat, but it did combust all of the paint on the weapon, causing it to completely lose its decorative coat. After a moment of standing there, Jason grabbed his knife out of the air, put away his Chainsword, and grabbed Seki's "Chainsaw-sama". He then deactivated the field and took a small moment to rest. He only rested for a second, but it was just enough for what he was about to do next.

(Time to show her what it feels like to have one of your teammates try and kill you.), Jason thought as he sprinted towards her at 500 mph.

Regius Prison - Otori's cell

"Don't worry. He wont die from it. It does however hurt that much that he can't really move that much.
As for you stepping down. As much as I would like it we still need you here. And besides, whjo will be my test dummy for something like that then."
Sdina pointed at the terrible burns that Orori had.

"I have a much better idea. The bad thing is that I don't have that much salt to spare. I think we can fix that tough."

At that moment Otori began forming tears from the tear gas that Sidna had released. Sidna got the tears and extracted the salt from then.
When she had enough she poured it into the wound. "From you body it came and to your body it goes back. Now tell us what you know!"

Born in the light. Molded in the dark.
Never Forget, Keep Fighting.
–Don't Forget. Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. –As long as you remember her, you are not alone.

Jason had used quite a bit of power in order to almost stop time around his body with such a high powered speed barrier like that. He stopped both blades and all the flames Seki had made before seemed to die out. Seki had stopped maintaining them once she saw Jason finally get his head in the game. However she was still not saticfide. She was going to push him farther and farther until his intent to kill was strong enough. Seki had almost forgotten she was mad at him….almost.

In his rush however, Jason had made one error in judgment. Seki’s weapon was by no means the work of science or lagical reasoning. It had no motor, no gear or anything that would allow this iem to exist in the real world. The weapon was the love child of a mad person’s imagination and her magic. In other words so long as the blade was within range Seki was able to manipulate it, although the range for her blade was a lot shorter then the rage in which she could cast fire spells. It just so happened Jason was just within rang when he held the sword against it’s master. This allowed Seki to manipulate the chain of her weapon to shoot out from the grip of th sword and wrap around the boy’s legs, thus causing him to trip and fall before he would have been able to reach Seki.

At this point not Only would Jason be immobilized momentarily but he was close enough that Seki could touch him and cook him alive almost instantly. However Seki did nothing to follow up. She allowed Jason to regain his composer and look in her direction before acting again.

“Jason… you are.. USELESS! You allowed the enemy to take over your mine, use your materials. Meanwhile I have to fight off your assassin, destroy the land YOU lost and train you for a war, you shouldn’t even be a part of. No, I’ve been cleaning up your mistakes since I met you, and you couldn’t even collect a SINGLE! TINY! BAG! OF COINS!!!” She said finally revealing what had truly angered her. While Seki had his attention, she carved a small sigil into the ground directly between her and Jason using her fire magic. Once the sigil had been formed Seki closed her eyes and concentrated. The sigil began to glow and suddenly three foot thick walls of flame began rising all around the battlefield. The walls grew and formed a rounded ceiling as well. The walls had all formed around 58 -61 feet away from where Seki was standing at that moment in time, they outlined the range of her magic. This flame’s only purpose was to drain Seki’s mana and stamina; she didn’t know how to hold back but this prevented her from using her power to its fullest against Jason which was relatively the same thing. However that isn’t what Seki told Jason.

“I have no control over this fire anymore. The sigil I formed is a binding contract known as the circle of life. In order for one of us to leave this circle the other must die.”

This was of corse a boild faced lie. Seki could stop the flames any time she wanted, They would stop if she became to tired to maintain them as well. They did however prevent anyone from leaving. The thick and hotness of the fire, not to mention Seki’s insanity, all made the fire so unstable slowing down the molecules in the fire was very difficult and extremely dangerous. This was Seki after all.

"Ha. Test dummy. You crack me up."

It stung Otori a lot.

"Gah! You... you are just... one... sadistic b-"

"Thaaat's what I said!" Said HM, trying to interrupt the predictable end of the sentence.

"... I can't believe... you -argh!- left... to be with... people like them..."

"... It was my choice, Otori. Let. It. Go. Go back to Neo Vegas, or else I will fulfill my vow, and it would make many people sad."

HM turned to Sidna. "Hey, you can take it from here. I'm going to look at the witness and question him... quite possibly my next replacement..."

He left. Otori was in great pain.

"... good. He's go-agh-! Gah... you... you want... to know... what I know... I... I know this... He... and I... both know... that if we... were to die... we were going to die... by eachother's hands... like men... and now... I can deal us... a little magic trick... Wanna see?!"

Otori used a wind scythe and cut the ropes. He backflipped behind the chair, and before anyone could think, he let loose the wind bomb.

"The air is now highly concentrated and highly explosive if given a sudden and drastic change in the pressure, and I've been keeping it away from you two in order to keep it secret, and what happens when a highly pressurized wind bomb meets-"

Before he finished, the wind capsule let loose. The wind bomb created so much extra pressure that the room blew up. He hid outside, distorting the wind around him to disguise himself.

Damn! I'd bet she's alright, but killing her wasn't my plan. Getting out alive it... damn this hurt!

Otori's burns were now extremely painful, but he kept to himself. Mind over matter, he thought. He hid there temporarily so that he didn't have to move, aggravating the burns.

Seki's words bit into his mind and only served to increase his stress from the fight, Seki trying to kill him, and his father's knife being ruined. Perhaps the words stung more because it came from a friend. Not only that, but her words caused him to think of how he stood by and let his father die. He may still be alive, but only one word rang through Jason's mind. "USELESS!"

Jason quickly got free, then threw the chainsaw away from himself.

Jason then stood up and looked at Seki with a look that rivaled even her flames in intensity. Jason had now gotten truly angry. He could no longer hold his calm demeanor anymore. All the stresses of these past three days were going to be released. All of them.

"Well you're no model of perfection either. I may not know how to fight, at least I actually listen when I'm told something! At least I don't try to kill my teammates, my friends! At least I don't try and kill them over a bag of coins!, Jason yelled as he remembered the bag of coins he was given.

Jason patted at each of his pockets until he found them. Once he found them, Jason tossed them to Seki. He then continued.
"At least I don't clumsily kill innocent bystanders! And don't you dare tell me that I'm useless! You want to know what I did!? I made sure that the Villagers back in Kalkun didn't attack you for being a fire mage! I tried to keep you alive when you burnt yourself to a crisp! As for you cleaning up my mistakes, that's bullsh*t and you know it! It wasn't just you that attacked the mines, we both attacked them! I didn't ask you to drop a nuke on the mine, I had enough explosives to do the job! And what assassin!? You mean that green robed wind mage!? You didn't do a damn thing other than throw an explosive bottle at her! I'm the one that chased her down!

Eventually, once Jason's anger boiled over, he just stopped and no longer looked angry.
He was now in the same state when he killed those 36 men at his house.

"If you can't make them see the light, then make them feel the heat... If it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you'll get.", Jason said as he pulled out his other knife.

All of a sudden, the air around Jason rippled as heat waves formed around him. The stone floor below him began to heat up until it started to become soft and slowly began to burn until it was black.

After seeing the anger on Jason’s face it was almost hard not to smile. She had sparked the flame inside Jason’s mind and his heart. He would finally attack her with the entention to kill. But of corse Seki didn’t actually mean all those nasty things she said. Seki was intentionally putting herself in danger for the sake of Jason’s training. all while keeping her power level lower than usual. It was Seki’s version of “Tough Love”

As her sword traveled across the ground, it soon reached Seki’s foot. She quickly kicked it up by the hilt and caught the handle as she brought the back of the blade onto her shoulder to rest. To her surprise the next thing she caught was the bag of coins from before. That small act of kindness, given to her by Kris. Seki’s anger towards Jason quickly left her mind after that, but it wasn’t like she wanted to kill him over it or anything. She was trying to kill him in order to simulate war, at any rate she couldn’t drop her act now.

The same rules applied, she would attack him until the sun set outside. Seki extracted two gold coins and held them between her middle, index and ring finger tp present them to Jason. After that she closed her hand around the two coins enchanting them with the combustible fire magic she used earlier. She tossed the pare of coins high into the air. Eventually they would land and xpload on contact. In the meantime however, Seki had to attack Jason relentlessly. Seki focused for a moment and suddenly let out an uproar of deadly fire attacks towards Jason all at once. She shot out large pillars of fire lik from before about thirteen ot fourteen of them at a time. She had rainbow colored fire orbs scattered across nearly the entire battlefield there would expload the moment they came into contact with a physical form. Fire balls that ranged from three to seven feet in diameter heading towards him that had been scattered out randomly as well. Finally she had three inch tall blue phoenix birds that flew around the room in a swarm of maybe a hundred. Seki had made hell on earth inside her ring of fire.

Jason saw the hell before him, but he didn't even seem to care. Jason was in a completely different mindset than his usual one.

All of a sudden, Jason exploded forward, faster than he could before. He made a dash of 780 mph at Seki. The sudden burst made a loud boom as Jason broke the sound barrier. He was going incredibly fast, but it was only dashes. Jason dashed straight through a pillar of fire. Thanks to the tiny amount of time he was exposed to it, Jason didn't get burned, but it was hot. With the next pillar, Jason decided to use his null field instead. Jason walked through another one and was slowly walking in Seki's direction. Despite the strain he was putting himself through, Jason kept the null field up, ready for any of Seki's fire attacks.

As Jason stepped closer and closer to Seki, she quickly aimed her palm In Jason’s direction. From her palm brought forth a deadly ongoing blast of highly concentrated fire.. Trying to pass through this flame would probably cause him to lose a limb from the pure pressure. On top of that, the birds from before began to swoop inwrds towards Jason and a highs speed having ten of them coming in from the left and the right. The moment Jason flanked to either side the birds would self-destruct in a series of miner explosions. All around the duo, Seki’s fire was destroying the landscape with explosions and rapidly moving fire.

Seeing the trap, Jason performed another supersonic dash, this time passing right by the concentrated flame. As the birds came closer to Jason, he pulled out his metal spikes and threw them. As soon as they left his hands, he augmented their speed and shot the birds as they came closer. More birds came near, only for Jason to quickly shoot them down. One of the rainbow colored fire orbs was in his way, blocking his path to Seki. Jason created another null field and walked until the orb was in his magical range. The orb disappeared, allowing Jason to run through and get closer.

Sensing the danger before her, her Seki quickly came up with an idea to counteract his charge. As a somewhat defensive measure, Seki blasted the ground in front of Jason with a multitude of explosives, which created a large amount of dust’ dirt and other partials to fill the air. That gave her enough cover to run towards Jason while remaining well hidden. The quickly spinning teeth of the blade soon were set ablaze with raging hell fire. The magic infused blade had cut and burnt trhough countless enemies, some with steel armor, but it had never once met this titanium alloy before. However If anyone could penetrate Jason’s armor, Seki could. With a great force the girl brought the blade, swiping it with great force across her field of vsion from her right side to her left. This would have easily torn a normal man in half and burnt his halves into ash in an instant, while the swing itself had enough force to break two or possibly three boards. Regaurdless of what may have happened then, Seki would quickly continue her moving her feet to a quick step and slide maneuver which she used to get behind Jason, in a position where she would still be facing towards him. Whatever Jason did next would determine how she followed up.
