This is an effort to make a somewhat in between Aeterna and ATWAG. It won’t be as serious as Aeterna, and it won‘t be as chaotic as ATWAG.
I do will be keeping some key aspects that made Aeterna into a wonderful RP in my opinion.
1. No machine gun posting. I would like to come back in the morning without having to read 4 pages worth of posts.
Something like half an hour between each post in a party is a good minimum if you do not have a good reason (only on for 5 minutes, busy, etc.)
2. No one line posts. If you are to post something make it contribute to the story. Although I understand it can be hard running a conversation, at least try giving it some length.
Getting that out of the way here is the story:
2062: A little boy by the name of Grav is born. He turns out to be a boy full of imagination.
He loves everything about fantasy. He reads many books and plays many games in that genre.
2075: Grav begins to realize that the world he loves does not really exist. This bothers him.
Because of this, he sets out on the path of becoming a scientist with the goal of reproducing the world he loves.
2094: Grav discovers a mystical force that he can make do whatever he wants. He names this force magic.
It requires a source however that can channel it. This can’t be found outside of the laboratory at the moment.
2095-2115: Grav continue using magic in his laboratory to do all sorts of things. From creating mythical creatures to refining his magic.
2116-2128: Grav works on a device that will enable magic to be used outside of the laboratory without anything big channeling it.
2131: Grav finalizes his device. He calls it The Origin
2135: Grav finds a small group by the name of SYSTEM that is willing to let him use The Origin and provide him with shelter.
2136: Grav activates The Origin. It turns the earth into a fantasy world situated in the middle age.
Everyone not a member of SYSTEM forgets all about what the once knew about the modern age. Their memories are replaced with fake memories of a life in this world.
The only one spared is the ones that are member of SYSTEM and their families.
With their superior knowledge of technology, they build hi-tech weapons and take over the country named Ryglaga.
2139: SYSTEM now have complete control over Ryglaga and have begun war against the other countries around it.
As SYSTEM supply them with hi-tech weapons most people that can’t use magic don’t stand a chance.
2146: It have been 10 years since the world become a world of fantasy. However, because of what seems like a bug some people are beginning to remember what it was like before fantasy became reality.
Only tiny memories, but they are enough to make these people rise up and fight against SYSTEM.
You are in the position of remembering that this is not how things are supposed to be. SYSTEM have sent out spies looking for people that remember.
Now is the time to choose, will you just let the world go on as it is, will you fight against the world or will you protect it?
Character types
SYSTEM spy: You’re a part of SYSTEM that work to get rid of the people regaining their memories. In addition to being a spy, you also have a high rank within SYSTEM. You have most of your original memories intact. Due to your high amount of real memories, it seems like your magic is more powerful than that of those around you.
Remembering person: You are a person that have begun to remember what life was like before The Origin was activated. You don’t remember much of your personal life, only that society and life was not like this once. Due to your memories it looks like your magic is more powerful that those around you.
Normal citizen: You’re a normal citizen minding your own business. You don’t remember anything before this. For you this have been your life the entire time. You still have magic, but not as powerful as those who remembers.
Magic
In his time researching magic Grav greatly refined it. He devided it into 8 physical types of magic and 4 nonphysical types of magic. Each person only have one type of magic.
Nature magic
Stone magic
Fire magic
Cold magic
Water magic
Creature magic
Wind magic
Lightning magic
Sound magic
Light magic
Gravity magic
Void magic (one of the earlier, rawer form of magic. Allows you to remove something for a short amount of time. Rare)
