@Cucoo

That info will be valuable. I must thank you Cucoo. I was trying to think of a way for Bardock to figure out which way to go... Also how will the glow appear as? Like fireflies or something?

Just to note here for memory's sake

the creatures look like balls of glowing energy. The glow hides their bodies.
Multi-colored with no other noticeable traits other than being able to fly.
The glow pulsates slightly and when feeding on Gaia energy, they will glow brighter.

Okay, here's a picture of Ethan's unfinished ship. I might share an image or two of the interior.

@SUS
Realized that a description of the interior of the Shrine could help ya. I'll get on that later.

welp
Found a picture of the Temple of Seasons in LoZ: OoS
...might as well steal it for the exterior concept

http://www.wiizelda.net/images/oos/Temple-of-Seasons.png

Except hidden more in the forest, with vines and flowers and such covering the walls more.
And a central tower (Plus the other 2 spires of the other two seasons (spring and winter)

Also use the positioning of my other post.

Interior of the central hall:
Relatively open space, cathedral like with a few columns. Center is dominated by a statue of the First four Nymphs. Each is facing their respective section of the Shrine.
There could be names etched into the base.

Wind -> Spring -> Aurae
Fire -> Summer -> Lampadesa
Earth -> Fall -> Napaeae
Water -> Winter -> Limnadesa

Not certain how to make things go towards the Northern section.

Ok, I might have a very interesting idea about how Ethan is essentially immortal and can regenerate so quickly.

In a sense, Ethan has cancer, or more accurately, all of the cells in Ethan's body are "cancerous" to some degree.

You see, most cells have a limited amount of times they can divide before they age and die. Each time a cell divides, the tips of chromosomes get shorter. In cancer, they do not get deleted as time goes on, meaning they can infinitely divide and never die. Second, cells have to undergo a controlled mitosis that limits how frequently they can perform mitosis. Cancer cells keep dividing, never stopping. Third, normal cells have error correcting proteins that prevent catastrophic mistakes during mitosis, while cancer cells do not.

Not only that, there are two types of genes responsible for cell growth. One codes for proteins that stimulate cell growth, and the other is a tumor suppressor gene. Tumor suppressor genes code for proteins that normally restrain cell division.

Well, my little idea is that perhaps GRACE induced various aspects of cancer in Ethan's cells, causing them to constantly divide and never die. They even managed to make different parts of his DNA adopt cancerous tendencies. In a sense, he has a sort of controlled form of cancer, but he is perhaps the first one this process worked on. It is very likely that there were failed experiments, such as ones that caused uncontrolled growth and regeneration, disfigurements, and deaths.

Basically, Ethan's genetic augmentations were born out of cancerous cells. It was then reverse engineered to create "hybridized cells" that grow at the same rate cancer does, but without the chaos involved. The cells are constantly growing, but GRACE somehow found a way to direct the cancerous growth, creating a regeneration effect as well as ageless immortality.

What are your thoughts? Is it too wild of an idea, or do you think they could have done that? I'm just trying to explain some of how the augmentations work, as well as to provide some backstory into one of GRACE's many projects. :p

I'll be trying to make a post in the IC soon, just need to think of something, but I don't know what Bardock should encounter going down the stairs if he should even encounter anything. :/
