We could always say that they either buried it (yes, they could easily do that, especially with some of the Youkai's powers, mainly Suwako's god powers, and yes, I know how big Grima is :p), or tossed it into the ocean (a couple Oni could take care of it) in between the seasons.

The location of the remains will determine where the one Morgan arc will occur. I'll leave the fate of it to Wriggs since he's controlling key characters in the Youkai Mountain area atm.
