Zanza's looks like it would be more useful for bludgeoning something than anything else.
Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

That was my thoughts when I first saw it.
Also I always thought it strange that only Monado I and II (And the Replica's but let's not go there...) open up when they activate

I guess the Monado got some flak from some magic sticks with crystals in them.

But Giant Lightsabers are fun...
Especially when you get to use a move that makes it 4x as big as it already was.
Because there is no such thing as overkill.

What used to be a town where people would sing in the streets and be happy. Now it is exactly the opposite. Partly because of the marsh around Lake Ljóst. Another reason is that it is a place where SYSTEM have yet to gain full authority, which is why the place swarms whit people that work in SYSTEM. Although not as harsh as Öraefi, the presence of SYSTEM agents everywhere make it quite unwelcoming.
