Perhaps I worded it wrong.

Shulk is looking for the one book that is missing on the bookshelf that has a lot of old books or whatever.

Alvis is most likely holding that book.

Temporal Skill Mastery (calling it TSM from now) is a spellbook that is in that bookshelf

Therefore Alvis is not holding TSM and is holding something else

And allowing Bailey to lend TSM to John.

This allows John to use TSM gain the knowledge of Animatography to the degree of Master level in a short second temporarily (Like, 10 minutes) so he can go and revive Yuuka-nyan.

I just had a brilliant Idea since your pretty much saying the book is not relevant really to the plot of saving Yuuka, I just came up with something.

Thought Route:


- The book is pointless to anything in my arcs and so far it has now become pointless twice for the saving yukka aspect.
- For all I care it could be anything. A cook book or a potion book or...what that renewed thought would have been a spell book.
- Having it be the TSM book would have given a reason for Alvis to meet John and give him the Blood Vial.
- But now that opportunity has been stripped away.
- Now I'm back to it being anything. Hell, it could be a Tome for all I care...
- A Tome....
- Like Fire Emblem's Book of Thoron?
- Or maybe Book of Naga
- Or Maybe...
