Komachi jumped and used her power so that she was suspended in the air, falling from the sky for longer than possible. If the executioner tried to reach out to her, he'd grab nothing for he would technically be too far. Meanwhile, the falling is giving her more speed.

Voile

Jack had finished MGSVN B4: Sons of Liberty.'

"How strange... To change the protagonist so simply? A questionable move indeed... I suppose that I can learn more by continuing three series, huh? Hmm... Jack... He also has a sword... Oh well-"

He then realized something.

"... Why the hell are they taking so long? I've been doing nothing but read. They should be back by now... I'd best check on them."

He stood up, but then there were books sitting there. The temptation ate away at him.

"... Okay, I'll give then until the end of the next two books...or three..."

Banished Library - Gensokyo

"Of course. We only keep old book here, however." Bailey informed as he pioneered through the collection to a single bookshelf with old tomes and forbidden novels written by scholars shunned at the time...

Except for a single missing book.

"This is it..." Shulk said looking about the room. "This is the place." He then walked over to the bookshelf and began looking it over. "Just as it was in my vision. The book should be right here." Shulk pointed to a portion where the books seemed to have been disturbed as though a book had been removed. "...but it's not..." He then stood as though in thought. "Is there a list of what titles are here in this section?"

"Well, not just the books, but the entire collection." Bailey drew a musty old notepad that could turn into dust if someone was too rowdy with it. "There's an index in the front, you can use that to find what you're looking for."

Yuuka's Mansion - Garden of the Sun - Gensokyo | Dusk

John looked over to Yuuka's bed and saw that she was not there. In fact, when John called out, the only thing he heard was the echoes of his own voice. It seemed that Yuuka was not home. John gritted his teeth in frustration at the revelation, but he knew that standing around was not going to solve the problem. Unfortunately, he had no idea where she was, so he couldn't go look for her. The best he could do at this point was to finish reading the "Soul Vault" scroll and wait for her to return.

With that in mind, and with the scroll in hand, John continued to read it as he opened up a Corridor of Darkness and entered it.

Banished Library - Gensokyo | Dusk

After a moment, John reappeared in the Banished Library from a Corridor of Darkness, still reading the scroll and trying to absorb all he could from it. John appeared to be a little frustrated, based on how his shoulders appeared somewhat tensed.

Jigsaw Valley

Takoizu saw a creature appear right next to her, and before the creature could react, Takoizu had already readied the sword and sliced straight through the creature's neck, killing it instantly. After that, Takoizu simply waited as the creatures ran straight into her "slow zone". As soon as the creatures did, they suddenly slowed down to a near standstill. Yes, they were still running, but they were now under the influence of boundary manipulation. To protect The Higher Power and herself from experiencing the effects of the "slow zone", Takoizu altered the boundary of susceptibility and immunity, making them immune to the time dilation in the area.

"Up ahead is a safe area. If anything appears next to us or tries to enter, they'll be slowed down. From there, we can easily pick them off.", Takoizu calmly said to The Higher Power as she walked into her "slow zone" and cut down any creatures that were in her way.

Jason looked around. Everything was interesting, but there was nothing to note of importance to him. Though it sounds self-conscious, he just wanted to make a good name for himself after the mess he caused.

He saw John come back. But he looked off. Jason walked to him looking a little worried.

"Hey, what's going on, Master? Can't decrypt it?"

Groznyj Grad

Snake and the crew walked up to a soldier at the heliport. He wore the basic soviet attire, but this guy was different: He had a capital 'J' on his mask. Snake walked up to him.

"Well, I'll be damned, is that you, Johnny?"

The soldier gave a salute.

"S-Snake! It's been a while, huh?"

"Yea, it has. Ten years?"

"Yea, well, ten years plus the four months we've been brought here... Hey, uh, no hard feelings, right? About then?"

"Don't worry. You were just acting out your duty as a soldier. None taken. As a matter of fact, we're here to investigate the disappearance of Colonel Volgin."

"Oh, right. See... It's been two months. He mysteriously just... disappeared. But signs show that he was taken, most likely against his own will. Question is, who would just take the Colonel?"

Snake put his hand to his chin. "Hmm... if it were any assassination, they could've easily just killed him on the spot... they needed him alive..."

Snake put his hand down.

"There is one possible suspect. A man we fought on our way here. We beat him down, but his death was never confirmed... The Neo-Yakuza might have taken him. But nothing is entirely sure because he betrayed them, the only punishment suitable being death, and like I said earlier, they could've easily killed him on the spot without worries of being tracked down... We'll need some more time here. Mind if I head to the mess hall for a quick fix?"

"Sure. I can lead you."

"Great. Say, uh... hopefully you don't have any of those Russian rations, do you?"

"Sorry, that's our main supply."

Snake walked forth with a distasteful look on his face.

"Ah, don't worry, Snake, I'll find you a snake or two around."

Snake grumbled under his breath. "... better than a ration..."

Otori chuckled at the fact that he knew of Snake's dislike in Russian rations and his tendencies to eat raw animal. It was all too familiar.

Shulk had a look of concern when he looked at the notepad, but his thoughts were interrupted by the voice of another.

"That won't be necessary."

Standing in the corner with a rustic book in his hands was a man Shulk was all too familiar with.

"A-Alvis?! What are you doing here?"

As soon as Jason addressed him, John looked up from the scroll he was reading and saw Jason standing in front of him, asking if he was having trouble trying to read it. The scroll was written in old English, but luckily John's translator could easily decipher it.

"It's not a matter of that, it's a matter of me not being able to find Yuuka. At this rate, the best I can do is read this scroll and try to figure out how to do what it says, but even then, there's no guarantee that I'll be able to help her.", John explained to Jason.

After that, John read off the part that cast doubt on John's hopes of saving Yuuka.

"Animatography allows one-self to distinguish, separate, and reunite souls. Novice Animatographers can only use this technique to himself, inanimate objects with souls, and small, non-human autonomous objects such as insects and lizards. As the skill increases, Animatographers will be able to use this technique to larger objects and, finally, other humans... That means that even if I read the entire thing, I won't be able to take Yuuka's soul fragments, combine them, then placed them back inside of her without mastering Animatography.", John said to Jason.

"Ah, I must keep you two private." Bailey said, stepping away. "Everybody needs my help all of a sudden, it seems."

Saying that, Bailey left the two alone as he walked around to check that anybody else needs his aid.

Jason thought on it.

"Damn... Sounds heavy... Hey wait, that Bailor guy must know something that might help."

He cried out to Bailey. "Hey, Bailor, can you help us out? We're in a little situation."
