Well I am aiming for a "past comes back to haunt him" kind of situation, so I want to make sure the pieces are set for when the time comes, which I have the feeling won't come until a few months later, so I'm essentially planning way ahead.

Name: Kazeane
Age: approx. 4400
Race and sub race: Crow Yaju
Gender: Female
Class: Ojo-sama
Daughter of Tenma, the chief of Yajus living in Tenma's Court, Kazeane is, if the government system was a kingdom, basically the princess. She was given top notch training in swordsmanship and the wind magic she inherited from the family heritage, as well as lessons on how to act like a proper lady. While her combat aspects are excellent, her demeanor and attitude are... less so.
Bio:
Spoiler:
Tenma is the title given to the chief of Tenma's Court. While the nature of the race make Tenma's authority over all Yajus questionable at best, there is no doubt that Tenma wields incredible amount of power, earning respect from his followers.
Current Tenma has 4 concubines and 12 children. This may sound like a lot to a monogamous family, but previous Tenma has had up to 100 children before. Anyway, 11 of those 12 children were male. So when the youngest child, Kazeane, was revealed to be a girl, the Tenma was overjoyed. From that point on, his servants, children, and wives saw a different side of the Tenma: one that was doting, affectionate, and even silly, as opposed to his usual stern, serious self.
Kazeane's early childhood was spent without a mother. Because of Tenma's chronic illness, the four concubines were to stay as his beck-and-call every day. Thus, Kazeane was raised by her 11 brothers. Because they were all boys, Kazeane was influenced heavily by masculine thought processes. She played sports and wrestled, not really caring for her outward appearance. When she grew up to become a healthy mature young adult, she was exposed to feminine influences as well: she was still acting like a man in a woman's body, but she now possesses the finesse and natural grace of a woman.
On Kazeane's 14th century, the Tenma, now growing old, decided to pit his 11 sons into a task of finding the elusive and lustrous Sky Demon Orb to find out who can be worthy of the title Tenma. The sons were not given any sort of hint as to how the orb looked like or what the orb's purpose was; just that it was somewhere in the continent of Lore. Although confusion swept through the 11 sons, the potential title of Tenma persuaded them to pack up the next day and leave hastily.
Kazeane was furious. How dare could her father leave her out of this? Was it because she was a woman? Or was it because Tenma treasured her too much to lose her? Either way, Kazeane could not understand her father's thought process. Her father should know that she was a skilled warrior; evident from the numerous years of training she has accrued.
However, when the issue of this discrimination was brought up by his daughter, Tenma scoffed it off and just told Kazeane that she was not old enough. Seemed like it was impossible to get the permission from her father... which means she'll have to escape the castle in secrecy. In order to do that, she needs to shake off the personal guard that she has with her...
Powers:
Kazeane was taught various things that can be considered "Powers":
Spoiler: Arashi Bladeweaving Technique
Passed down by the Tenma family of Arashi, Arashi Bladeweaving Technique is a swordsmanship style that are taught to the Tenma Royal Guards and the sword-using members of the Arashi family. The blade technique can be best described as "flowing with the wind", where every attack or defense can be led into another, forming a chain of offense and defense that keep their pace very synced in battle.
Spoiler: Divine Tempest Aeromancy
Another thing passed down by the Arashi family is their wind magic that takes on different form for each successor. The primary form that the magic took for Kazeane is that the wind she creates becomes razor sharp, emulating a sword slash. Kazeane can apply this to:
- Emit a wind slash that disperses over distance
- Enhance the swords to protect them from breaking
- Form hurricanes that can shred things.
Spoiler: Embodiment of the Crow
Taking on the form of the Crow Yaju, Kazeane is given unlimited flight, provided that she gives herself some roosting period in between flight. Her wings are entirely black, and the wingspan is 15 foot long.
Gear:
Kazeane wields two moderately curved swords named the Twin Blades of Murakumo that she affectionately calls "Mura-chan" and "Kumo-chan". They are finely-honed, artisan-quality blades with not a lot of embellishment other than three red dots drawn at the blade tip.
Appearance:
Spoiler:
Height: 172 cm (5' 7.7")
Weight: 57.5 kg (126.77 lb)
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Red
Even though she's lived for more than four thousand years, she still looks like someone in her late teens or early adulthood. This is because Yajus age very slowly; they would start having gray hairs when they lived through approximately 60 millenia on average. This of course means she'll look like a young girl for a very, very long time.
Because of her tomboy attitude, she hates wearing gaudy dresses since they are so hard to move around in. When she has to for celebratory reason, she will oblige and put on a dress or a robe; but, as soon as the celebration ends, she'll run up to her bedroom and strip so she can get into something more comfortable. Thus, in a regular day, you'll see her in a skimpier, "casual" dress like in the picture.
Personality:
Kazeane has grown up to become a rather complicated person. She is very straightforward and brazen in her actions; doing things that you won't think a dignified lady like Kazeane would do for the sake of simplicity. On one hand, this means that she doesn't shy away from things, and instead is very eager and active about things which is appreciated by her brothers and her father. However, on the other hand, the women are embarrassed by Kazeane's choice of deeds. For example, they could not stand to look when Kazeane took off her dress in front of her brothers to jump into a river down the cliff to retrieve a golden necklace that was dropped there. They argued to her that she could've just flew down, but Kazeane's response was: "Where's the fun in that?"
However, Kazeane can still possess some ladylike manors... in a bad way. She came to realization that she can use her feminine wiles to beguile people into doing things for her when her physical self aged, which led to her seducing her brothers to do her share of chores for her.
Regardless of what side of the gender scale she is in, Kazeane is loud. She's boisterous. She likes to go around making things as lively as possible. Perhaps it's because of this trait that Tenma loved her more than other children.
Apart from that, Kazeane loves exploring places. She is a rather curious individual, having been sheltered in the city of Tenma's Court all her life, so she pesters people such as her oldest brothers who have been out the jungle before and her teachers about how life is outside the city. It's this wanderlust that she wants to fulfill by embarking on a voyage to the outside.
Ambitions:
Kazeane wants to find this "Sky Demon Orb" so that she can prove to her father that she too can go on an adventure. Title of Tenma, she can yield; she'd rather be free and venture the world rather than stay in the boring city for the rest of her life.
Factions:
Kazeane is the Ojo-sama of the Tenma's Court. She does not have any animosity towards any other race at all.
Character Connections:
Kazeane has a personal guard that she has grown to become friends with.
Notes:
First WoW, now Touhou? Wiggu, you're crazy!
I know. I've been crazy since the day I visited this forum.

DONE WITH NEWER BIO
Spoiler:
Name: Braum Freljord of the Cairnyard Mountains
Age: 49
Race and sub race: Human Noroi.
Gender: Male
Class: Guardian. He is tough, tough enough to get shot in the shoulder, be injured, but still willing and capable of fighting. With his shield, he desires to protect others.
Bio:
Years ago... and by years I mean about twenty years. He was a rather normal farmer in a town located in some of the small mountains just north of the Bellflower Meadows. Braum was always a very kind, and friendly young man who always helped around the farm, and village. Whenever people were in danger or needed help, he stepped up to help. Once he helped save a family from a burning cabin by recklessly endangering his own life by charging into the wooden cabin. Another time he helped save a young child and his dog by jumping into the rushing waters of the nearby river. No matter what, Braum was always there to help others in need. Whenever he wasn't helping others though, he would usually be tending to his sheep, cows, and farm.
Things changed one day though when up further in the mountains there was an incident. As a few days ago a few shepards and a group of sheep were heading through the mountains, they were going to provide an offering of sheep to what they had believed to be a dragon within a ancient cave within one of the mountains. Normally it is only a day long hike throughout the mountains to get to said cave, however when the shepards did not return after a few days passed, people in the village became worried. After all a husband and his two sons were sent into the mountains to deliver the sheep.
People in the village were beginning to grow increasingly worried after a few more days passed. They considered to send in some of their strongest men into the mountains to go search for them in the Dragon's Den, however even the strongest men feared the 'dragon' that resided in the nearby mountains. So no one was had really volunteered... that was until they heard a familiar, hearty laugh from Braum who made his way to the town square. He announced that he alone will go into the mountains to look for the man and his two sons. People were shocked, but at the same time joyous that Braum was going to risk his own life to save the people.
As soon as he offered to go look for the 3 men, the local blacksmith of the village began working hard on preparing some gear for Braum. Within about a day and a half and the men prepared some fine armor and weapons. Braum looked at the gear, but upon seeing them he shook his head as he said he did not need any armor or swords. The blacksmith was shocked to hear this, but became even more shocked when he heard what Braum said next.
"What wonderful craftsmanship is this! Please tell me what large object in front of Braum is?" Braum spoke as he gazed upon what looked to be a large stone door, decorated with a large ram head, and a shard of what looked to be ice.
The blacksmith replied that it was cut from a block of stone from the mountain, carved into it's current shape, and adorned with a large shard of special, unmeltable, magical True Ice to make it as durable as can be. Apparently the Blacksmith had made it to be used as a door to replace the old door to the village's vault.
Braum then said that he would rather take the door, as a test to see how strong the door can be. After all he had the mindset that if this door was designed to be as durable as possible, then it should have a proper test, and what better test than against a dragon? The blacksmith was confused by Braum's logic, but decided to agree to Braum's offer. As such the blacksmith rigged up a pair of strong, iron handles to the backside of the door so it could be wielded like a large, heavy shield. The Blacksmith was at first worried by how heavy it might be, but with one strong heave on the door, Braum lifted it. Braum smiled as he took out his small pouch of gold coins to give to the blacksmith in thanks for the new 'shield despite the fact that the Blacksmith was willing to give it to Braum for free... after all lives were on the line.
Well with his new 'shield' in hand, Braum set off into the mountains to hopefully save the people...
Braum was gone for a solid week. People of the village began to loose hope, for they thought that Braum had failed in saving the man and his sons. Plans to erect a small statue in Braum's honor came undeway, but suddenly... they heard it. That old... familiar, joyful laugh that echoed through the mountainside. Braum had returned! On top of that he had saved the two sons of the old shepard, but unfortunately the old man had perished...
When asked what happened in the mountains, Braum had explained everything. He told them on how he had found the cave that belonged to the dragon, he explained that the dragon, despite its size, was quite powerful. It was hard to triumph over the dragon. However he explained that as he and the Dragon were clashing, the shield had proven useful. The shard of magical True Ice that adorned the center of the shield had protected Braum and the young men against the Dragon's flames. He also told them on how the father of the two sons was consumed by the Dragon well before Braum got there. Braum was still distraught over this... but it also made him realize that out in the world, people were in danger, and that Braum had came then stated that he will begin traveling the land, in search of people in danger.
Ever since then, Braum had been declared a hero. Using his newfound shield to protect others. For years he protected his village from invaders, monsters, and other threats. However Braum eventually... grew saddened and depressed. He realized that the world was large, and there was a lot of people out in the world. With that Braum decided that he will begin traveling across the land, using his new shield to protect those he comes across.
He recently had traveled down south through the Bellflower Meadow, and into the Pinegrove where he is currently taking some good ol' rest from traveling.
Powers:
Braum is human. However that does not make him weak. For Braum is actually rather strong. For years living in the mountains, working on the farm, and doing various other chores (including very dangerous hikes up and down the mountain.) He had grown quite strong over the years. Hell he even regularly works out and exercises to keep up his strength. He is at the peak of human physical fitness in terms of strength. He is strong enough to lift a boulder, or a solid stone door as large as himself with relative ease.
This does come with some downsides. His size, and weight make things rather hard for him to move around. You see his major weakness is his speed. Braum isn't that fast. Especially when he's carrying around a large, stone door. Sure he can lift it, but running and even walking can be rather tiresome and cumbersome. So he is not the faster fighter at all.
Another thing is that in terms of hand-to-hand combat Braum isn't the most skilled. He doesn't like fighting all too much, only fighting to defend others or himself. Even then he will always try to take a more peaceful way out. Whenever he does fight, he fights in a more basic, fisticuffs style. Standard punches, locks, and other techniques. Not all too much. Remember though, he'd rather use his shield to defend an ally than use his fists to pummel someone into a fine paste. He's not that violent kind of guy.
Gear:
A giant stone shield enchanted with a shard of unmeltable, magical, True Ice. This shard of True Ice has done something to the door, increasing the strength and durability of the door by a significant amount without increasing it's weight. It also has Ice Magic that it can grant to anyone who is in contact with it for a sufficient amount of time. Braum hasn't figured out about this little fact about the Ice Magic. He currently uses the enchanted door as a strong shield to defend others.
Appearance:
Spoiler:
Braum stands at a tall 6ft 6. Rather tall, even for a male.
Personality:
Braum is kind, selfless. He cares more about others than himself. He is the kind of guy that would take an arrow for a stranger. He would be willing to invite a homeless person into his home, give the guy a nice warm place to sleep and a good hot meal. Braum also is generally fun-loving, and appreciates one who can take things easy in life or look at the postives rather than the negatives. He is almost never seen without a smile on his face (unless he is grieving or paying his proper respects to someone.) Braum is the kind of guy who would even joke around casually with others, even in a rather serious situation. For he finds that if one can face their problems and worries, and always keep their chin up, even in times of danger has the heart of a true hero.
He's the kind of guy who would kindly buy drinks for everyone at a bar, while getting himself something like goat milk to drink. He respects others decisions (unless those decisions sway them towards a life of evil), and will not usually question one's own lifestyle.
Even then Braum does have his faults. He may not be the most intelligent man out there, for despite growing up in a nice village, he tended to himself and his cows often. He always took life step-by-step, and as such never thought of becoming a scholar or philosopher. Braum has always liked the simple way of life, and tends to get stumped or confused by more finer or fanciful things even though he himself will not care how one lives their life.
Ambitions:
Braum does not want much in life, for he finds that he already has everything he needs. All he wants to do is travel the land, and help others.
Factions:
He does not belong to any factions.
Character Connections:
He has no character connections.
Notes:
His theme:
He is going to obviously be the 'token good guy' of the RP. Meant to bring a bit more light-heartedness to the RP.

I also accept Sustic's Braum fella.
Sometimes when you're driving down a road, a bug hits your windshield. It's ugly and unpleasant, but you just activate the wipers / cleaning fluid and it's gone in a few seconds. It's just part of driving down the road. You don't dwell on it, because that'd be silly. Bugs aren't worth the time.
You just discard their guts and keep on driving.

Age: 5827
Race and sub race: Crow Yaju Noroi
Gender: Male
Class: Whirlwind Swordsman
Bio: Takeshi was born into a life that was always in contact with both the military and the Tribal Guardians, due to his father being the bodyguard of the Tenma, which heavily influenced his interests in combat, as well as his choice to join the Yaju Guard. During his time, he was a trainee for 200 years, and after that, he became a soldier for another 200. In those 200 years of service, Takeshi had proven time and time again to be a very reliable and trustworthy soldier. That, and he had a special gift that set him apart from many of his other fellow soldiers. This gift was the power to use Aeromancy, the magical ability to control wind. Magic among the Yaju was not rare, but it was rather uncommon when compared to the other races of the world, and it was even more uncommon for a Yaju to have the discipline to hone their magical abilities. Takeshi was one such individual that was able to wield his power over wind just as effectively as he could with a sword, making him a cut above the rest. Hearing about his son's success as a soldier, Takeshi's father had approached him and convinced him to join the Tribal Guardians, telling him that his talents could prove to be useful and that he would be a valuable addition. After some thought, Takeshi eventually decided to apply and eventually became Kazeane's personal guard for the next 100 years. The only consequence of his choice to become a member of the Tribal Guardians though, brought some to think that Takeshi was only accepted because his father was a guard himself and tipped the scales in his favor...
Powers:
Aeromancy - Takeshi can call upon the power of the wind itself. With the power of aeromancy, Takeshi can increase his speed, knock enemies off balance, create strong gusts of wind, form miniature tornadoes, can allow himself to hover on a burst of air, and can redirect projectiles with a dense "wind shield". At maximum capability, Takeshi can envelope an entire battlefield with winds strong enough to exceed 170 mph (273.58 kph), or an F3 tornado. He commonly darts around the battlefield via his magic, allowing him to combat multiple enemies at once and allowing him to maintain a high degree of mobility.
Tracker and Survivalist - Thanks to both his physiology, training, and where he lives, Takeshi has become a proficient tracker and can survive in the wilderness indefinitely.
Arashi Bladeweaving Technique (Personalized Variant) - Passed down by the Tenma family of Arashi, Arashi Bladeweaving Technique is a swordsmanship style that are taught to the Tenma Tribal Guardians and the sword-using members of the Arashi family. The blade technique can be best described as "flowing with the wind", where every attack or defense can be led into another, forming a chain of offense and defense that keep their pace very synced in battle. He commonly incorporates his aeromancy into his fighting style, literally allowing him to flow like the wind and allowing him to become an even more potent and lethal swordsman. He will commonly increase the speed of his slashes, build up momentum for followup attacks, and will spawn miniature tornadoes with rapid spins and slashes from both himself and from his blades.
Martial Excellence - Due to his 500 years of being a soldier and Guardian, as well as the experience stemming from such a long term of service, Takeshi is very competent with a rather large array of weapons, including his body. Like many Yaju soldiers, his expertise in battle exceeds that of what even the most seasoned human soldiers could learn within their lifetimes. This means that he has a large understanding of battlefield tactics, can effectively wield many types of weapons, and is disciplined enough to carry out any task for the sake of the Yaju.
Yaju Transformation - As like with every Yaju, Takeshi can transform into a bestial form. For him it would be a crow, but when he does, it would leave behind is equipment.
Animal Communication - As like with every Yaju, Takeshi can communicate with animals.
Enhanced Senses - Being a Crow Yaju, Takeshi has a slew of various advantages stemming from his biology. Such advantages are increased intelligence and ingenuity, greater observational learning capabilities, enhanced ability to sense and understand language, inflections in speech, and body language, can see a wider range of colors and hues with more detail, can see parts of the UV scale, can spot things from long distances with pinpoint accuracy, slightly improved hearing, and feathers are incredibly sensitive to changes in air temperature, pressure and wind speed, and those changes are transferred down the feathers to extensive nerves in the skin,
and fewer nerves in his legs and feet, which makes him less sensitive to extreme cold and allows him to sit or stand on icy surfaces.
Gear:
Takeshi does not carry very much with him, but what he usually carries are his two scimitars and a good supply of basic essentials. He can also sometimes be seen carrying around an ornamental staff with rings on it.
http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/...s02full800.jpg
Appearance:
Height: 177.8 cm (5' 10")
Weight: 86.1 kg (190 lb)
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Generally wears the black shirt and pants with red trim like in the picture, but in addition to that, he also tends to wear two bracers made up of black bandages wrapped around the lower half of his forearms (like with his ankles), with a beaded layer above that with black feathers traveling up the length of his forearms. He can also sometimes be seen with an intricate breastplate made of red, black and white beads over his shirt, although he generally reserves its use for either ceremonial times or times of war.
Personality: Tends to be proud, has a little bit of a trickster personality, clever, smart, curious, and rather kind, but when on the job or when things get serious, he gets serious and shows a great deal of discipline.
Ambitions: Takeshi's father was a reliable Guardian and was in Tenma's Tribal Guardians, so a lot of people tend to think that Takeshi got into Tenma's Tribal Guardians just from his Father, so he wants prove them wrong. He wants to prove that he got in solely by talent and merit, not because he had a really influential father.
Factions: The Tenma.
Character Connections: He is Kazeane's bodyguard.
Notes: Takeshi has poor night vision, meaning he can't see in the dark very well. When night approaches, he tends to try and keep the area he is at well lit. That, and his pride and curiosity could possibly be used against him.
